The Sheriff's Office is reported the following:


8:40 a.m., Sonora area - A woman on the 20000 block of Gopher Drive said her bank card was fraudulently used for two transactions in Utah totaling $340.

10:10 a.m., Groveland - Someone on the 22800 block of Ferretti Road said someone stole a stereo and some gasoline from their vehicle.

Felony bookings


8 p.m., East Sonora - McKenzie Kuuipoopuna Kuamoo, 18, of the 20200 block of Jamestown Road, was booked on suspicion of embezzlement, after an arrest at a store on the 13700 block of Mono Way.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


8:12 p.m., Jamestown area - Arturo Garcia Rodriguez, 57, of the 2000 block of Seventh Street, Hughson, was arrested on Highway 108 near the stone corral west of Jamestown.


12:22 a.m., Twain Harte - Wendi Ann Burton, 28, of the 18900 block of Sequoia Drive, was arrested on Sequoia Drive at East Avenue.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:22 a.m., suspicious circumstances - A woman with long dark hair, dark clothing and a shoulder bag told someone at a residence on West Sunset Street that she had just been assaulted by her boyfriend and asked to come inside. The homeowner told her no but would call for assistance, so the woman left. The homeowner told police that the woman didn't look like she had been assaulted. An officer located the woman who said she was homeless and was hoping the homeowner would let her stay the night. The officer advised the woman to leave the area.

10:04 a.m., suspicious circumstances - A woman, who matched the same description as the female from the previous incident, approached a homeowner at a residence on South Nevada Street and said a blond man was chasing her. The homeowner let the woman inside and gave her a glass of water. The homeowner said the woman was behaving oddly and called police when she left. Officers confirmed it was the same woman from the previous incident, but they were unable to locate her a second time.

4:52 p.m., theft - A man who stayed at an inn on South Washington Street said his ATM card and a check from his checkbook were stolen about two days ago. He said the check was cashed at a bank with his name forged on it and money was withdrawn from his account using the ATM card.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:38 a.m., Murphys - An arrest was made following a physical altercation on Tanner Court.

10:33 a.m., Valley Springs - A vehicle was broken into on Gold King Drive.

11:25 a.m., Vallecito - Equipment was stolen from Calaveras County Solid Waste on Red Hill Road.

1:40 p.m., Valley Springs - A vehicle burglary occurred on Gold Creek Road.

9:13 p.m., Camp Connell - A residential burglary occurred on Ottawa Drive.
