The Runway Xchange, an upscale consignment store that carries new and like new brand-name women's, misses, juniors and men's

apparel, shoes, accessories and purses is now open, at 115 S. Washington St., downtown Sonora.

Consignment items are welcome with no appointments and no item limits.

Open House

The Calaveras County Visitors Bureau is inviting the public to attend its annual Holiday Open House on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Calaveras County Visitors Center, 1192 S. Main St., in historic downtown Angels Camp.

Guests will be treated to seasonal goodies and "one-day only" deals on merchandise including Calaveras T-shirts, books, magnets, frog tub fizzies, pins, patches, and locally grown and produced items.

A popular item for this holiday season is the exclusive 2011 National Capitol Christmas Tree ornament commemorating the "People's Tree" from the Stanislaus National Forest. The ornament is available at the Visitors Center for $10 each and supply is limited.
