The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


12:23 p.m., Soulsbyville - A woman reported someone vandalized her house on the 20400 block of Sherry Lane.

1:03 p.m., Sonora area - A man reported someone forced open a door at his recently purchased residence on the 21000 block of Crystal Falls Drive. He reported nothing was missing but there was some damage to the door.

1:43 p.m., Soulsbyville - A man on the 20500 block of Adams Court told Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office dispatchers he thought he was "being transferred to speak with the President." Dispatchers noted the man sounded like he had been drinking and was near traffic.

1:59 p.m., Sonora area - A man on the 17200 block of Nile River Road reported the California Franchise Tax Board withdrew money from his bank account. The Franchise Tax Board reportedly determined the man's Social Security number had been stolen and used.

4:08 p.m., Sonora area - A deer reportedly entered the Dollar Tree on the 13700 block of Mono Way and "tore things up." It then ran out of the store and was running around The Junction shopping center. The deer was gone from the area when deputies arrived. An ambulance was called for a 74-year-old woman in connection with the incident.


6:21 a.m., Columbia - A woman reported a wallet was stolen from her vehicle on the 11000 block of State Street.

Felony bookings


5:13 a.m., Sonora area - Andrew Michael Carrier, 22, of the 11900 block of Campo Seco Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest near the the intersection of Campo Seco and Pradera Real roads.

6:50 p.m., Sonora - Shawn Thomas Garcia, 27, of the 100 block of Christine Court, Arnold, was booked on suspicion of forgery, after an arrest at a business on the 100 block of West Stockton Street.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


3:00 p.m., Soulsbyville - Landon Noble Furr, 29, of the 20500 block of Adams Court, was arrested on Adams Court at Willow Springs Drive.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


8:09 a.m., vandalism -Signs for a business on Old Wards Ferry Road were reportedly vandalized.

3:32 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A suspicious item was reportedly left at a church's donation drop off center on South Forest Road. Officers took possession of the item, but the dispatch report did not identify it.

Fire calls


2:15 p.m., Crystal Falls - A vegetation fire was reported on the 21600 block of Faithe Court. The fire was caused by escaped debris burning. A 20-by-40-foot spot of needles and leaf litter vegetation was burned, according to Cal Fire. No injuries were reported and the fire was put out by 3:32 p.m.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


8:53 a.m., Mokelumne Hill - Vandalism was reported on Center Street.

9:44 a.m., Valley Springs - Fuel was stolen from a car lot on East Highway 12.

1:34 p.m., Copperopolis - Grand theft was reported on Tomahawk Trail.

3:37 p.m., San Andreas - A burglary was reported on Ponderosa Way near Calaveras Creek.


12:32 a.m., Valley Springs - A theft was reported on Cedar Street.

7 a.m., San Andreas - A residence was vandalized on Hawver Road.

Felony bookings


11 p.m., Valley Springs - Jennifer Dawn Martin, 35, address unspecified, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, after an arrest on the 100 block of Highway 26.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


5:28 p.m., San Andreas - Charles Roy Lacey Sims, 44, of the 3100 block of Demin Court, Valley Springs, was arrested at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital.
