TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

12:02 p.m., Yosemite - A visitor going to Yosemite National Park was reportedly approached by a man at about 7:30 a.m. at the park entrance who was wearing camouflage clothing, a face mask and brandishing a weapon.

3:10 p.m., Don Pedro - A man on the 5400 block of Avenida Lugo North reported he was checking his mail when his neighbor drove by and swerved his pickup truck at him. The man told the neighbor he was driving dangerously, and the neighbor punched him in the face.

3:20 p.m., Tuolumne - A group of nine teenagers was reportedly pulling the wood from the bleachers at Jerry Whitehead Field at the corner of Main Street and Willow Avenue.

3:26 p.m., Sonora area - A man on the 21400 block of Green Oaks Court reported his neighbor was racing up and down the street in his car and harassing people.

4:27 p.m., East Sonora - Someone reportedly burglarized a church on the 14500 block of Peaceful Valley Road on the evening of Oct. 26.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

THURSDAY

8:18 p.m., west county - Richard Aaron Davis, 21, of the 800 block of MacArthur Boulevard, Oakland, was arrested on Highway 49 at Highway 108 at Montezuma Junction.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

10:10 a.m., animal complaints - A woman found a dead bat behind her vehicle on North Norlin Street and called police to have it removed.

1:04 p.m., fraud - A woman reported receiving a suspicious phone call from a man claiming to be her grandson in Canada. The woman reported the man said he had been arrested and was asking her to send him bail money.

5:48 p.m., theft - A person reported items were stolen from unlocked vehicle on North Stewart Street. The items reportedly taken were hand sanitizer, a flashlight, insurance card and registration paperwork.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff's Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:48 a.m., Burson - Two counterfeit $100 bills were reported at an undisclosed address.

9:04 a.m., San Andreas - Identity theft was reported on Mountain Ranch Road.

12:20 p.m., Murphys - A verbal altercation was reported on Apple Blossom Drive.

1:42 p.m., Sheep Ranch - Identity theft was reported on Waldears Path.

1:52 p.m., Valley Springs - A tenant dispute was reported on Quail Oaks Road.

3:23 p.m., Valley Springs - Identity theft was reported on Silver Road.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

THURSDAY

1:47 a.m., Angels Camp - Jared Guy Moreno, 25, of the 3300 block of Horse Camp Road, Cottonwood, was arrested on Pine Street at South Main Street.
