TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

7:52 a.m., Groveland - Two tents were reportedly burglarized on the 33100 block of Evergreen Road.

7:59 a.m., Jamestown - A man reported the tires on his vehicle were slashed on the 17400 block of Highway 108.

10:27 a.m., Sonora area - A box of wires and an AT&T power station all valued at less than $150 in total were taken from a person's shed on the 16300 block of Angeline Court.

12:41 p.m., Columbia - A woman on the 14200 block of Northridge Road reported an unknown man called trying to sell her anti-virus software for her computer. The woman said she gave him permission to access her computer remotely and watched as he went through information about her bank accounts and personal identification. The woman reported she now realizes it was a scam and closed one bank account but kept another open with a small amount of money and will report any further suspicious activity.

3:21 p.m., Sonora area - A woman on the 10700 block of Joaquin Morris Road reported fraudulent charges to her credit card.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:34 p.m., burglary - A woman reported that her residence on Dragoon Circle was broken into and ransacked between the 9:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

3:03 p.m., animal complaints - A large brown pit bull with some black markings was reported running loose in the area of Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive and was dragging a two-foot long chain. Officers were unable to locate the dog upon arriving at the park. About 45 minutes later, a woman at Castenetta Ranch on Fairview Lane reported a "horse-sized dog" matching the description of the pit bull in the previous incident on her and her neighbor's properties. The woman reported she was worried about her small animals. The dog was gone upon officers' arrival.

TUESDAY

4:45 a.m., Jamestown area - Jill Marie Engle, 37, of the 17600 block of Rolling Hills Boulevard, was arrested on Highway 49 at Rawhide Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:50 a.m., Arnold - A snow blower was stolen on Fairway Drive.

12:26 p.m., Mokelumne Hill - Grand theft was reported on Calwood Court.

12:39 p.m., West Point - Vandalism was reported on Highway 26.

1:12 p.m., Burson - A residence was burglarized on Cheyenne Drive.

3:49 p.m., Valley Springs - Vandalism was reported on Baldwin Street.

4:46 p.m., Arnold - A person was arrested for public intoxication on Highway 4 at Manuel Road.

Felony bookings

TUESDAY

9:48 p.m., Angels Camp - Morgan Fay Carruth, 49, of the 4100 block of Cedar Circle, Vallecito, was booked on suspicion of transporting drugs and illegal possession of a firearm, after an arrest on the 3000 block of Highway 49.
