The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


12:48 a.m., Sugar Pine - An arrest was made after deputies responded to a domestic dispute on the 16300 block of Acorn Drive.

7:22 a.m., Twain Harte - A tree was down, blocking South Fork Road near Middle Camp Road.

9:07 a.m., Groveland - Someone broke two windows of a house on the 19200 block of Second Garrotte Ridge Road.

9:52 a.m., Jamestown - A woman on the 10600 block of Oakmont Court worked for a mystery shopping company, received and cashed a money order for $720, then used Western Union as advised to send it back except for more than $200. It was determined that there is a legitimate mystery shopping company in business, but it looks like someone else is using the company name to scam people. She planned to go to her bank to find out if the money order is valid.

10:33 a.m., Sonora area - Vehicles parked on the 20300 block of Eureka Drive were vandalized with eggs and chewing gum.

1:51 p.m., Twain Harte area - A resident of the 22300 block of Red River Drive reported a check being stolen from her and used in Modesto.

3:42 p.m., Sonora area - Someone damaged a mailbox and unscrewed a water hose on the 17600 block of Lime Kiln Road. The property owner believed they were trying to steal items, but were scared away when her dogs barked and she turned on the outside light.


2:19 a.m., Willow Springs - An arrest was made by the Sheriff's Department after a burglary call on the 20600 block of Willow Springs Drive.

8:57 a.m., Groveland - Three trailers were burglarized on the 19700 block of Vernal Drive.

4:10 p.m., Columbia - A woman on the 2200 block of Craig Court reported someone made $150 worth of unauthorized charges to her debit card.

7:23 p.m., Soulsbyville - A man on the 20500 block of Adams Court reported the possible theft of his knife. He still had the sheath, but thought he might have left it in his car when he took it to a repair shop. He told deputies he wanted documentation in case anyone tried to do anything illegal with it.

11:55 p.m., Tuolumne - A woman at her residence near the intersection of Sunrise and Canyon drives reported being in her backyard and hearing commotion from her neighbor's backyard. Someone reportedly said "No, no," and then the woman heard two gun shots followed by someone saying "Oh my god." Deputies responding to the scene reported no one heard or admitted to the gun shots. The people were given a warning for noise.


12:26 a.m., Columbia - Several people were reportedly making a lot of noise behind a cemetery on the 22500 block of Church Lane. Deputies reported no one was around when they arrived, but they did find pieces of a doll on the pavement on the west side of the church.

9:07 a.m., Long Barn - A man on 29900 block of Mariposa Drive reported someone had damaged his solar lights and a flower pot at his residence while he was out of town.

4:43 p.m., Sonora area - A man reported a group of kids had just shot his vehicle with a paint ball while near the intersection of Greenley and Cabezut roads.


7:20 a.m., La Grange - A business was burglarized on the 3100 block of El Prado Road and a laptop and small amount of money from the cash register was taken.

8:04 a.m., La Grange - A business was burglarized on the 14500 block of Las Moras Street and mostly money was taken.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


12:23 a.m., burglary - Lifeline reported that a man in a lavender jogging suit removed a screen and entered a house through a window on North Forest Road while the resident was there. He fled the area and was not immediately located.

5:35 p.m., theft - Someone broke into a woman's unlocked vehicle on North Forest Road overnight and stole change, an Ipod car charger and various other items. The woman said she was woken up between 12:30 and 1 a.m. when she heard some noise outside.

6:01 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A business owner on South Washington Street reported that a suspected homeless man, described as tall, thin and without teeth, was waiting behind the business when it closed a couple of times last week and would shine a flashlight on employees as they left between 7 and 8 p.m.

9:17 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A person reported a man who appeared to be covered in blood standing outside of a business on West Stockton Street. Officers questioned the man who confirmed he had participated in the zombie march event in Courthouse Park earlier in the day.

7:45 p.m., Sonora area - Charles Bruce Johnson, 20, unknown residence, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, after an arrest on Highway 108 at Mono Way.


12:38 a.m., Don Pedro area - Tom Hays Gries, 36, of the 74600 block of Highway 1, Big Sur, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and selling or transporting marijuana, after an arrest on Highway 59 at the Stanislaus County Line.

12:51 a.m., Sonora area - Crystal Ellen Burns, 31, of the 18400 block of Hatler Drive, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at her home.

2:11 a.m., Willow Springs - Joseph Robert Christ, 18, of the 18300 block of Avenida Bonita Street, Sonora, and Jonathan Villalobos, of the 200 block of Greenley Road, Sonora, were booked on suspicion of knowingly accepting stolen property and conspiracy to commit a crime, after arrests at Willow Springs Park on Willow Springs Drive.


7 p.m., Sonora - Cody Shago Mata, 21, of an unknown block on Bradford Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest in the 100 block of West Stockton Road.

8:56 p.m., Tuolumne - Agustin Galvan, 34, and Stephanie Minyard, 22, both of an unknown location in Turlock, were booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Black Oak Casino.

9:04 p.m., Sonora - Dylan Stephen Lay, 39, of the 10 block of Lytton Street, was booked on suspicion of forgery and receiving known stolen property, after an arrest at the Tuolumne County Jail on the 100 block of Yaney Avenue.

10:10 p.m., Sonora - Leann Renee Engle, 32, unknown residence, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 200 block of Snell Street.

12:24 a.m., Standard - Victor Bernard Lyons, 86, of the 3900 block of Pennsylvania Gulch Road, Murphys, was arrested on Tuolumne Road at Standard Road.

2:04 a.m., Sonora area - Cynthia Louise Taylor, 54, of the 22500 block of Elizabeth Lane, was arrested on South Stewart Street in the Farmer's Market lot.

8:45 p.m., Twain Harte - Mark Warren Hayden, 62, of the 23000 block of Golf Club Drive, was arrested on Joaquin Gully Road at Cedar Drive.


3:16 p.m., Groveland area - Peter Machen Solis, 51, of the 13400 block of Hoyito Circle, was arrested on Arbolada Drive at Castillo Drive.

7:58 p.m., La Grange - James Joseph Sepolpo, 48, of an unknown location in Coulterville, was arrested on Avenida Central at Carmelita Lane.

Fire calls


11:11 a.m., Mi Wuk Village - A vehicle fire was reported on Long Barn Sugar Pine Road. One Cal Fire unit from Twain Harte and two Tuolumne County Fire Department units from Mi Wuk Village responded to the call. Fire personnel extinguished the fire by 12:47 p.m., according to a Cal Fire report. No one was injured, but $500 worth in damage was done to a camper on a 1973 pickup truck, Cal Fire reported. Cal Fire reports arson as the cause of the fire.

7:59 a.m., West Point - A parked car was vandalized on Highway 26.

8:28 a.m., Mountain Ranch - A vehicle was vandalized on Baker Riley Road.

9:22 a.m., Hathaway Pines - Vehicles were burglarized at the U.S. Forest Service Station on Highway 4.

1:51 p.m., Valley Springs - An identity theft on Jensen Court was reported.

10:26 p.m., Murphys - An arrest was made after the Sheriff's Department responded to a disturbance on French Gulch Road.

10:40 p.m., West Point - An arrest was made after the Sheriff's Department responded to a public intoxication call on Bald Mountain Road.


11:47 a.m., West Point - A residence was burglarized on Highway 26.

1:53 p.m., Avery - Gun shots were reported near Seagale Road.


9:21 a.m., Railroad Flat - A burglary was reported on Silver Mountain Road.

7:34 p.m., Copperopolis - An arrest was made after the Sheriff's Department responded to a disturbance call on Sequoia Circle.

11:28 p.m., Murphys - Trevor Michael Azzaro, 30, of the 1500 block of French Gulch Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at his home.

6:27 p.m., Copperopolis - Eduado Efrain Roasas, 24, of the 5200 block of East Weber Avenue, was arrested on Highway 4 east of O'Byrnes Ferry Road.


8:20 p.m., Valley Springs - Frank Lester Allen, 57, of the 15900 block of Highway 49, Drytown, was arrested on Burson Road at Camanche Parkway on Oct. 8.
