The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


12:12 p.m., East Sonora - Someone was reported stealing merchandise from a store on the 13000 block of Mono Way and then returning the items without a receipt.

1:32 p.m., Columbia - Two men were reported fighting on the 22000 block of South Airport Road.

2:25 p.m., Sonora area - A basement was broken into at a residence on the 19000 block of Via Redonda Road and a bar mirror and 10 solar walkway lights were reported missing.

2:40 p.m., East Sonora - A stereo was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 19000 block of Hess Avenue.

4:48 p.m., Soulsbyville - A teenager was detained for stealing alcohol from a store on the 20000 block of Soulsbyville Road.

5:25 p.m. Sonora area - A man reported someone stole $2,000 from his residence on the 17000 block of Plateau Road.

8:32 p.m., Soulsbyville - A man reported someone stole a wood splitter from his residence on the 20000 block of Caylor Drive.


12:01 a.m., Tuolumne - Black Oak Casino security guards turned over to sheriff's deputies a suspicious bag filled with a white powdery substance that was found on the gaming floor. Test results came back negative for illegal drugs. Deputies concluded someone had been sold a bag of fake drugs.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:48 a.m., theft - A wallet and medications were reported stolen on Snell Street.

5:15 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A person reported seeing several people tampering with a power box behind the bus shuttle at the Courthouse Square on Washington Street. Officers at the scene found out the people were charging their cell phones.


The Sheriff's Office reported the following:


10:27 a.m., San Andreas - A break-in and theft were reported on Gold Strike Road.

1:47 p.m., Glencoe - A theft of various items was reported at a residence on Three Cent Flat Road.

3:33 p.m., San Andreas - A report of a break-in and vandalism was reported to a building on Church Hill Road.

7:51 p.m., Valley Springs - Gunfire was reported on Covey Lane.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


8:28 p.m., Valley Springs - Misty Mae Fisher, 29, of the 200 block of Rose Street, was arrested at a gas station on Nove Way.


8:50 a.m., Mokelumne Hill - Rebekah Jean Ramsey, 33, of the 500 block of Forest Meadows Drive, Murphys, was arrested on Highway 49 south of the Amador-Calaveras county line.


6:15 p.m., Angels Camp - Daniel Anthony Scoyni, 43, of the 1000 block of Stelte Court, was arrested near a fast-food restaurant on Main Street.
