The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:43 a.m., Arnold - A septic pump was stolen on Cypress Point Drive.

5:47 p.m., Vallecito - There was a report of cruelty to animals on Ponderosa Way.

9:37 p.m., Copperopolis - There was a report of theft on Morado Circle.

10:34 p.m., Valley Springs - An arrest for public intoxication was made on Sequoia Avenue.

Felony bookings

TUESDAY

1:43 p.m., Hathaway Pines - Byron Lee Fischer, 73, of the 200 block of Inspiration Drive, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at his home.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:34 a.m., weapons violations - A pistol shot was reported coming from Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive. An officer who checked the area didn't find anyone at the park.

11:00 a.m., vandalism - An officer spoke to students involved in damaging another student's vehicle at Sonora High School.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

TUESDAY

4 p.m., East Sonora - Leroy James Hammon, 68, of the 18700 block of Highway 108, was arrested on Mono Way near Cordelia Avenue.

4:22 p.m., Sonora - James Quigley Bedwell, 59, of Aspen Meadows Campground, was arrested on the 100 block of Hospital Road.

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:43 a.m., Sonora area - A laptop computer was stolen from a residence on the 14800 block of Blue Bell Road West.

1:02 p.m., Jamestown - A woman on the 10300 block of Willow Street reported a man had called her asking for $500 and in exchange would give her $250,000. The woman told the man to come over and then called law enforcement. She said she would call back if the man showed up.

1:38 p.m., Jamestown - A woman reported she saw a man scratch her car outside a restaurant on the 18200 block of Main Street and then walk away.

2:34 p.m., Columbia - A man said a rattlesnake was in his garage on the 22500 block of Bennett Road.

5:31 p.m., Jamestown - A residence on the 11200 block of Circle Drive was burglarized.

10:10 p.m., Big Oak Flat - A woman reported an unknown person had tried to take her golf cart and break into her car on the 11900 block of Black Road.

11:59 p.m., Jamestown - A residence on the 10100 block of Peppermint Creek Road was burglarized and two laptop computers and several other items were taken.

WEDNESDAY

6:30 a.m., Big Oak Flat - A motor home was burglarized on the 11900 block of Black Road.
