CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff's Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

5:45 a.m., Valley Springs - Two people were digging through a trash bin on Cedar Street with flashlights, making all the dogs in the neighborhood bark.

6:19 a.m., Arnold - A diner on Oak Circle was broken into, and the register was taken.

9:10 a.m., Mokelumne Hill - A residence on Highway 49 was burglarized.

1:36 p.m., West Point - A man was trying to get into a passing vehicle. A second caller said he had a knife. He was arrested.

2:04 p.m., West Point - A Bald Mountain Road resident came home to find blood on a front screen and the front door handle and door.

4:17 p.m., Valley Springs - A residence on Cedar Street was burglarized.

10:39 p.m., Murphys - A physical fight occurred on Six Mile Road.

SATURDAY

8:05 a.m., Glencoe - A residence on Ridge Road was burglarized.

10:15 a.m., West Point - Gun shots were reported near Barney Way.

10:16 a.m., Wilseyville - Gun shots were reported near Railroad Flat Road North.

1:21 p.m., Valley Springs - A residence at the Sequoia Rose Mobile Home Park on Sequoia Avenue was vandalized.

11:05 p.m., San Andreas - A garage door was vandalized at a residence on Millers Court.

SUNDAY

1:49 a.m., Mokelumne Hill - A person was arrested for public intoxication on Highway 49.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff's Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:14 a.m., Twain Harte - Someone broke the glass on a lamp post at the end of a driveway on the 23400 block of Lakewood Drive overnight. Two men were arrested in the area for public intoxication at 2:27 a.m., but there was no evidence to identify them are responsible for the broken light.

10:56 East Sonora - A skinny man in his 40s was yelling and talking to himself outside a store on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

11:44 a.m., Phoenix Lake area - Two pushy people claiming to be debt collectors keep calling a resident of the 21600 block of Montgomery Road asking for personal and confidential information.

11:50 a.m., Sonora area - Someone stole a safe from the 19100 block of Sunny Circle.

2:15 p.m., Cedar Ridge - A resident of the 23400 block of Pack Trail Road who previously reported fraudulent charges on accounts, said there are more of them.

5:36 p.m., Mono Village - A tree came down on Hillsdale Drive in the Mono Village Center, blocking the eastbound lane.

5:48 p.m., Tuttletown area - A tree fell on a propane tank on the 20500 block of Sapphire Ridge Road.

9:51 p.m., Tuolumne - A man on the 20900 block of North Tuolumne Road said a woman branded a display samurai sword, then hit him with it, started burning his clothes on a bed, then jumped on his back and gouged his eyes.

SATURDAY

2:02 a.m., Twain Harte - Multiple men and women were in a physical fight at Twain Harte Drive and Joaquin Gully Road.

12:53 p.m., Sonora area - Six solar yard lights were stolen from a property on the 19000 block of Sunny Circle.

1:58 p.m., Jamestown - A person was bitten by a neighbor's pit bull that was wandering around a neighborhood near Eighth Street.

6:29 p.m., Jamestown - A trash dump was reported off the left-hand side of Kanaka Drive near Jacksonville Road.

10:27 p.m., Jamestown - A man reported that two men had wandered onto his property and began to come up his steps before leaving with one of his solar yard lights.

SUNDAY

8:24 a.m., Twain Harte - Someone stole alcohol from a vacation home on the 19100 block of King Arthur's Court.

11:52 a.m., Columbia - A person reported the yard gate at their home on the 10700 block of North Airport Road had been opened by somebody and a deer had come in and ruined the garden.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

2:56 p.m., traffic accident - A hit and run driver broke a light on a motor home parked at North Washington Street near West Jackson Street.

5:01 p.m., theft - A $3,500 meat slicer was taken from the back of a truck parked at Sonora High School on North Washington Street.

9:27 p.m., theft - An iPod was stolen from a vehicle parked in the Timberhills Shopping Center on Mono Way.

SATURDAY

1:38 a.m., fight - A large fight was reported in the middle of South Washington Street. It was over when officers arrived, and witnesses said it was just a pushing match.

11:34 a.m., theft - An employee at a grocery store on the 100 block of West Stockton Road reported to have a woman in a wheelchair in custody on suspicion of shoplifting.

12:25 p.m., animal complaints - An injured squirrel was creating a traffic hazard in the middle of Snell Street.

2:21 p.m., theft - A blue-gray hydraulic hammer was stolen off a tractor on Columbia Way.

3 p.m., suspicious circumstances - A man in a parking lot on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road was walking with his pants down and talking to himself. An officer warned the man about his behavior.

8:12 p.m., trespassing - A person reported that a woman on South Stewart Street was at an apartment complex hitting windows and doors.
