Info sought in Jamestown robbery

Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office investigators are seeking information about a Sunday robbery in Jamestown.

At 8:30 a.m. Sunday the Sheriff's Office was called about a home

invasion on the 18100 block of Fourth Avenue in Jamestown, a Sheriff's

statement said.

The victims, James Roel, 62, and Sharon Jones, 53, reported they

were in their home when multiple subjects forced entry into the house,

the statement said.

The suspects pulled a weapon and demanded money and valuables. The

Sheriff's Office declined to clarify the kind of weapon brandished.

The robbers assualted Roel and Jones, causing minor injuries, then

left with an undisclosed amount of cash and personal belongings, the

Sheriff's statement said.

The Sheriff's Office is investigating several leads and anyone with information is encouraged to contact them at 533-5815.
