1:27 p.m., Don Pedro area A woman said papers were stolen from a vehicle parked on the 14000 block of Soledad Way.

4:07 p.m., Jamestown A caller said a man was harassing people at a restaurant on Main Street.

5:07 p.m., Cedar Ridge area A man said a vehicle had been vandalized and abandoned on Five Mile Creek Road near West Brookside Drive.

6:29 p.m., Dodge Ridge A woman said she lost a backpack containing $200 cash, a cell phone, camcorder, hand-held video game, her wallet with all her credit cards and a camera. A deputy advised her to cancel all her credit cards and be alert for possible identity theft.

6:36 p.m., Don Pedro area A house on the 5800 block of Arbolada Drive was reported burglarized.

9:59 p.m., Twain Harte After a neighbor called the sheriff's department, a deputy spoke with Australians visiting a house on the 22000 block of Bret Harte Drive about a county law prohibiting setting off firecrackers.

10:54 a.m., La Grange Dustin Lee Harper, 24, 9200 block of Banderilla Drive, La Grange, booked on suspicion of vehicle theft and receiving stolen property after arrest on the 2300 block of Navarro Street, La Grange, by California Highway Patrol officers.

He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

12:31 p.m., Sonora Nicholas Grayson Pina, 20, no address given, booked on a warrant charging him with vehicle theft and receiving stolen property after arrest on Shepherd and Linoberg streets, Sonora, by Sonora Police officers. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Jennifer Spring Ables, 27, 18200 block of Ninth Avenue, Jamestown, booked at 1:48 a.m. today after arrest on Shepherd Street north of Cowan Street, Sonora.

12:41 a.m., suspicious circumstances An officer was dispatched to check on two vehicles at Woods Creek Rotary Park, but they were gone when the officer arrived.

2:04 p.m., animal complaint A Rotweiller was seen in a vehicle for more than an hour in the parking lot of a business on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road.

2:27 p.m., traffic accident A non-injury crash was reported in the parking lot of a business on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

2:28 p.m., hazard Debris was in the road at the intersection of South Washington Street and Restano Way.

3:38 p.m., theft A manager at Wal-Mart on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road said a woman's purse was stolen out of her shopping cart.

4 p.m., Vallecito A fire was reported off Camp Nine Road near Vallecito. The fire was caused by someone pushing a burning object off a cliff. Damage was estimated at $200. Firefighters could not access the fire because it was burning on a very steep slope. However, the flames were surrounded by rocks, so California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection personnel are monitoring the fire until it burns out. Land owner is Jen Corporation of Vallecito.

9:12 a.m., Copperopolis A caller on the 2600 block of Canoe said trash was dumped onto the property. A deputy found the dumpers and had them clean it up.

10:31 a.m., Campo Seco A caller said a gate to East Bay Municipal Utilities District property was damaged on Penn Mine Road.

11:36 a.m., Angels Camp area A houseboat in dry dock at New Melones marina was reported burglarized.

9:52 a.m., Angels Camp James Daniel West, 35, 4300 block of Meadow View Road, Arnold, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle after an arrest on Hillcrest Court, Angels Camp.

He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

10:21 a.m., Sheep Ranch A 39-year-old Sheep Ranch man booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery after arrest on the 3600 block of Highway 4, Arnold. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $50,000 bail.
