Sheriff's reports


7:46 a.m., Columbia A woman on the 22300 block of Airport Road South said the Agriculture Commissioner's Office was burglarized overnight, and it appeared someone tried to siphon gasoline from vehicles parked there.

9:52 a.m., Jamestown A man on the 10500 block of Suzanne Court said someone hacked into his eBay account and changed it. The man contacted the FBI and eBay, but asked for help from the sheriff's department as well.

11:52 a.m., Tuolumne A man said he paid another man $275 to deliver five boxes to the Philippines, but the boxes, with contents valued at $800, were never delivered.

12:21 p.m., Soulsbyville A woman said a windshield was broken on a car parked on the 16000 block of Via Este.

2:49 p.m., Sonora A caller on a cell phone reported seeing a man who matched a description of a man who tried to grab a Sonora Elementary School girl last week. The man was questioned, but an officer determined he was not a suspect.

3:27 p.m., Tuolumne A woman found a black wallet near the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road.

4:40 p.m., Tuolumne A man said three boys, about 10 to 12 years old, were screaming at each other while walking on Ponderosa Way near Canyonview Drive. The caller said one boy was carrying a stick threatening another boy.

Felony bookings


1:15 p.m., Mono Vista Michael Christopher Leveroos, 49, 18400 block of Pine Street, Tuolumne, booked on a warrant charging him with possessing a controlled substance, violation of probation and failure to appear after an arrest on the 20900 block of Longeway Road, Sonora. He remained in custody this morning without bail.

5:50 p.m., Sonora Robert Joseph Lefferts, 44, 3900 block of Pine Street, Loon Lake, booked on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court and manufacturing a controlled substance. He was transferred from another county jail and remained in custody this morning without bail.

8:52 p.m., Jamestown A 33-year-old Jamestown man was booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery and violating a protective order after arrest at his house. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

John Andrew Muldoon, 46, 10200 block of Horseshoe Bend Road, Sonora, booked at 2:44 a.m. today after arrest on Highway 49 and Parrotts Ferry Road.

12:28 a.m., suspicious circumstances An officer checked on a vehicle on Stockton Road.

12:55 a.m., traffic accident A non-injury crash was reported on North Stewart Street.

2:48 a.m., suspicious circumstances An officer secured an open car door on the 200 block of Greenley Road.

7:36 a.m., animal complaint A woman said an unleashed pitbull with a red collar chased her while she was walking on Columbia Way. She said the owner has been notified several times about the dog.

8:10 a.m., lost property A man said he lost his wallet on Hospital Road on Thursday.

8:17 a.m., found property A man said he found a bank check card in debris on South Washington Street.

9:25 a.m., forgery A man said his estranged wife is signing his name on checks and cashing them at various Sonora businesses.

2:32 p.m., suspicious circumstances Someone reported seeing a man wandering up and down Greenley Road.

9:03 p.m., public peace A woman said a man was intoxicated in the lobby of an apartment complex on the 200 block of Hospital Road.

1:02 a.m., Sonora A Dumpster fire was reported on Gold Street at Washington Street. Sonora City Fire Department responded.


Felony bookings


12 p.m., Valley Springs Tony Dale Johnston, 29, undisclosed address, booked on suspicion of burglary, vehicle theft, vandalism and possessing stolen property after arrest on Bell Court in Valley Springs.

Investigators looking in to a burglary at a home on Red Gulch Lane, Mokelumne Hill, arrested Johnston after recovering stolen items at a house where Johnston was living, according to a sheriff's department report.

Johnston was also seen driving a 1995 Jeep Wrangler reported stolen from the Red Gulch Lane house. The Jeep was later found stripped of its wheels and tires and burned.

Johnston remained in custody this morning in lieu of $105,000 bail.


8:30 a.m., San Andreas Anthony Robert Skrobecky, 20, 200 block of Dogtown Road, Angels Camp, booked on a warrant charging him with possessing a controlled substance, after he turned himself in at the county jail. He was released Monday evening after posting $15,000 bail.


1 a.m., Mountain Ranch Debra Lynn Kenyon, 39, 400 block of Lewis Avenue, San Andreas, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of possessing drug paraphernalia after arrest at a business on Mountain Ranch Road, Mountain Ranch. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

4:41 a.m., Copperopolis A 35-year-old Copperopolis man booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery after arrest at his home. He was also booked on warrants charging him with driving with a license that had been suspended for reckless driving, speeding and having no insurance. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Michele Charlene Baker, 49, 1300 block of Stallion Way, Angels Camp, booked at 9:03 p.m. Monday after arrest on Stallion Way south of Highway 4.
