7:05 a.m., Phoenix Lake area A woman on the 21700 block of Robin Hill Road said the front window of her home was broken.

7:21 a.m., Groveland A caller said the Groveland Adult Day Health Care center on the 11600 block of Merrell Road was broken into, but nothing appeared to have been taken.

1:26 p.m., Twain Harte A man on the 21800 block of Cedar Springs Road said he could hear a man and woman fighting nearby.

3:14 p.m., Big Hill A woman said contractors left cement near a water ditch on Mountain Boy Road.

3:48 p.m., Twain Harte A woman on the 23000 block of Joaquin Gully Road said the gear shift lever was broken off her car.

5:12 p.m., Twain Harte A man on the 18200 block of Lakeview Drive said his truck was vandalized overnight.

6:04 p.m., Big Hill A woman on the 22400 block of Gunsight Road said tires and a wheel valued at $250 were taken from her front porch.

6:06 p.m., East Sonora A man said a young boy was sitting alone in front of a store in The Junction shopping center for more than 20 minutes. The boy's grandmother came and picked up the boy.

6:12 p.m., Columbia A woman on the 23000 block of Gold Springs Drive said she came home to find a door knob had been pulled out of her door.

7:21 p.m., Jamestown A caller said a man in a checked shirt was walking down Donovan Street screaming and shaking his fist.

8:29 p.m., Standard area A woman on the 15100 block of Mountain Lilly Road said a woman got angry at the caller's children and chased them.

Felony bookings


10:15 p.m., East Sonora Robert Frederick Stansfield, 47, homeless, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

According to a sheriff's department report, Stansfield was staying at a motel on the 19900 block of Highway 108. The manager called 911 when Stansfield allegedly threw tools out a motel room window and yelled "call the cops."

When deputies arrived Stansfield said a car drove into the parking lot and the occupants allegedly threatened to kill him, so Stansfield broke the window to get someone's attention.

Deputies who searched Stansfield's room found what appeared to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and arrested him.

He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

10:56 p.m., Jamestown Gina Rose Atkins, 25, 10300 block of App Street, Jamestown, and Robert Bruce Gonzales, 28, 8600 block of French Flat Road, Jamestown, both booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale after arrest on Highway 108 at Main Street, Jamestown.

According to a sheriff's department report, deputies stopped Atkins, who was driving a car with a faulty turn light. Deputies searched the car and found two bundles of small plastic baggies, a scale and a undisclosed amount of what appeared to be methamphetamine.

Atkins was released after posting $15,000 bail. Gonzales remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Sonora police reports


5:46 a.m., suspicious circumstances Security personnel at Sonora Community Hospital on the first block of Forest Road said two people were hanging around the upper parking lot in a small car.

5:51 a.m., hazard An officer said there was debris on Mill Villa Court. The road was cleared.

1:11 p.m., suspicious circumstances A woman said a suspicious person was parked in a green car in front of the Sonora High School office on the 400 block of North Washington Street.

2:27 p.m., traffic accident A non-injury crash was reported on the 500 block of South Washington Street.

3:31 p.m., suspicious circumstances Someone said a possibly intoxicated man wearing a green shirt was wandering around Sonora City Cemetery on East Jackson Street.

3:43 p.m., burglary A woman said someone got into her business on the 600 block of Shaws Flat Road and stole compact discs, a CD case and $150 in dollar bills and quarters. She said the burglar did not make a forced entry and believes the incident happened between 1 and 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
