The development would happen on the south side of Forest Meadows

Supervisors will also be asked to sign an agreement with the Calaveras Community Foundation to help raise money for a new county animal shelter.

The Calaveras Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization that facilitates charitable giving by individuals, companies and community groups. The foundation manages funds, promotes donations and files all appropriate tax returns.

After discussions with Calaveras County Animal Control Director Jearl Howard and members of the Calaveras Humane Society, the foundation agreed to set up a fund to collect donations for a new animal shelter.
