A story on the CARES program in Tuesday's edition did not include the following information: The CARES program, paid for through the California Department of Education and Tuolumne County Children's and Families Commission, is funded for three years. The program will receive $80,000 in July to award as stipends. Stipends are available for family child-care providers as well as preschool teachers. Participants can apply once a year.
