Reciting the Girl Scout Promise are Catelen Amos, 8, of Groveland (left), and Carly Tolbert, 8, of Sierra Village. More than 215 Girl Scouts from throughout Tuolumne County, along with 80 adult volunteers, gathered at Camp Sylvester near Pinecrest Lake this week for camp. The camp allowed Girl Scouts to work toward badges and participate in activities such as water games, crafts, sports, and classes on fire safety and flag raising and lowering. The camp ended with a skit the senior Girl Scouts had prepared during the week.
