9:04 a.m., East Sonora A Hertz rental car manager said attempts were made over the weekend to siphon gasoline from cars parked on a company lot on 13000 block of Mono Way.

9:12 a.m., Soulsbyville A woman said tools were stolen from an unlocked garage on the 16000 block of Draper Mine Road.

1:01 p.m., Sonora area A man said a white car with a cracked window and a punched-out ignition had been parked on Covey Circle near Cabezut Road since Saturday.

2:37 p.m., Tuolumne A Black Oak Casino security officer said a 65-year-old man was causing a problem and may have stolen a payoff ticket.

4 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 18000 block of Seventh Avenue said there is a problem with garbage stacking up at a neighbor's house.

5:07 p.m., Apple Valley A woman on the 21000 block of Lyons-Bald Mountain Road said her house was broken into.

7:01 p.m., Willow Springs A woman found a pink backpack on Livermore Court near Timothy Drive.

7:12 p.m., Standard area A man on the 19000 block of Trace Road said a wallet with over $200 inside was stolen from the bedroom.

7:29 p.m., Jamestown A caller said there is an ongoing problem with people hanging out on the corner of Seco Street at Donovan Street, possibly dealing drugs.

8:28 p.m., Soulsbyville A caller said the driver of a maroon Mitsubishi car passed on a double yellow line on Highway 108, flashed the high beams at an on-coming car and may have pointed a gun. A deputy and a sergeant found the driver and determined there was no gun.

8:28 p.m., Sonora area A woman said she saw an older man throw a rock through a window at Quail Hollow apartments, on the 12700 block of Chukar Circle.

Felony bookings


11:15 a.m., Tuolumne Victoria Lanning, 58, and Stephen Douglas Shade, 46, 18500 block of Rozier Avenue, Tuolumne, both booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale after an arrest at their home. Lanning was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and Shade on suspicion of possessing less than an ounce of marijuana.

According to a sheriff's report, Tuolumne Narcotics Team investigators went to the house with a search warrant and found methamphetamine packaged for sale. Both Lanning and Shade remained in Tuolumne County Jail this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail each.

12:03 p.m., Sonora Jason Thomas Barton, 24, Odd Fellows Park, Long Barn, booked on warrant charging him with failing to register as a sex offender after he turned himself in at the Sonora Police Department. He was released yesterday after posting $10,000 bail.

Raven Walters, 20, 300 block of Mariposa Street, San Andreas, booked at 6:08 p.m. Monday after arrest on North Stewart Street at Cowan Street, Sonora.

3:39 a.m., public intoxication A 43-year-old man was booked on suspicion of public intoxication after an arrest in front of a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

11:10 a.m., warrant arrest A 23-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a charge of making harassing phone calls after an arrest on South Washington Street.

1:25 p.m., battery A 35-year-old Sonora man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery after a woman said he spat on her and hit her in the back of her head in the Pak 'n Save grocery store. The woman said the man yelled at her because a young girl with her almost got run over by the man's electric cart.

2:04 p.m., vandalism A woman said her car was damaged when someone tried to scrape off a sticker while the car was parked on Summit Avenue.

4:51 p.m., traffic accident A caller said the driver of a maroon Ford Explorer hit her vehicle in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center and took off.

10:36 p.m., public fight A caller said two people were fighting in a shopping center on Stockton Road.

10:47 p.m., suspicious circumstances A caller said three people, one of whom was a woman crying, were in front of a business on Bradford Avenue and Washington Street.



4:20 p.m., Sonora area A fire caused $300 damage to a television set at 12820 Chukar Circle. The tenant is Richard Love. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Tuolumne County Fire Department and the Sonora Fire Department responded. The fire was caused by an short circuit.

7:17 a.m., Copperopolis A caller said children waiting for a school bus on the corner of Feather Court and Quill Road were throwing rocks and running in the street.

7:42 a.m., Valley Springs A homeowner on Berkesey Lane was concerned about speeding trucks in the area.

8:28 a.m., Arnold A caller on the 1200 block of Shady Circle said harassment from acquaintances has continued.

10:46 a.m., Valley Springs A caller said an abandoned house on the 200 block of Myrtle Street had been vandalized.

10:48 a.m., San Andreas Neighbors were arguing about a tree cut down on the 3100 block of Golden Gate Court.

5:41 p.m., Wilseyville A woman said a neighbor left harvested drugs in a laundry room on the 4200 block of Poverty Lane and the smell made her nauseous.

8:11 p.m., San Andreas A caller said a cable box and remote were stolen on the 100 block of Pope Street.

8:29 p.m., Valley Springs A caller said neighbors on the 600 block of Stanford Court were playing their music loud and refused to turn it down.

9:57 p.m., Valley Springs A caller said a man on Marval Street was acting strangely.

10:15 p.m., San Andreas Two teenage runaways were caught by the staff of their group home on the 10400 block of Fricot City Road.

10:16 p.m., Vallecito A caller said a suspicious vehicle was parked at the bottom of a driveway on the 4300 block of Camp Nine Bypass Road.

10:37 p.m., Mokelumne Hill Three people ran away when a patrol car approached them at Mokelumne Hill Park.

10:57 p.m., Arnold A caller on the 1200 block of Shady Circle asked to see a deputy "about something that may or may not have happened." The man was arrested on three Solano County warrants.

11:06 p.m., Copperopolis A woman with children was traveling to Elk Grove from Southern California and took a wrong turn, ending up on the 400 block of Main Street. She ran out of gas and called for help.

11:27 p.m., Valley Springs A man on the 1000 block of Mockingbird Hill called "to complain about everything." He said he wanted his roommate to move out and that he was upset because his blood pressure wasn't taken at an out-of-county hospital that he went to.

11:56 p.m., San Andreas A suspicious vehicle was parked near an apartment complex on the 1000 block of Knief Lane.


12:43 a.m., Arnold California Highway Patrol officers asked assistance on the 2900 block of Highway 4. A man and woman were arrested during a vehicle stop and their two dogs needed to be taken to the county's animal control office.

3:42 a.m., San Andreas An out-of-control patient was reported in the emergency room at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital. The patient was the same man who was upset about his blood pressure not being taken at an out-of-county hospital.

3:23 a.m., Arnold area Kristine Greig, 41, 10600 block of Stella Street, Oakland, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale, transporting drugs, disorderly conduct due to drugs and alcohol and resisting officers after arrest on Highway 4 west of Arnold. As of this morning, Greig remained in custody at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $110,000 bail.
