9:13 a.m., Mono Vista area A man said a pack containing medical equipment and $20 was stolen from an ambulance rig parked on the 20000 block of North Sunshine Road.

9:47 a.m., Columbia area A woman said her vehicle parked on Big Hill Road near Sawmill Flat Road was broken into and gasoline was siphoned from the tank.

9:58 a.m., Don Pedro area A woman on the 8600 block of Milpitas Road said mail was stolen from her mailbox.

11:19 a.m., East Sonora A Hammond Ford employee reported receiving a counterfeit check written for $289.09-worth of car parts.

11:36 a.m., Tuolumne A Sheriff's Community Service Unit volunteer said several people were hanging around Pine Street and Bay Avenue possibly taking gasoline from cars parked in the area.

12:15 p.m., Twain Harte area A man said a house on the 21800 block of Confidence Road was broken into.

1:13 p.m., Groveland A man said a vehicle parked on the 20700 block of Forestwood Way was broken into and tools were stolen.

1:42 p.m., Jamestown area A caller said two men in a blue Chevy pickup truck were smoking methamphetamine while driving on Jamestown Road. The caller gave a dispatcher the license plate number of the truck.

1:53 p.m., Twain Harte area A woman who checked on her barking dog saw a man who came out of a neighbor's house on Huron Drive. The man was described as being tall and slender with a mustache and goatee.

2:49 p.m., Tuolumne A man was arrested on a warrant charging him with misdemeanor battery, damaging a phone line and fighting in public after a woman called and said he was causing a disturbance at her house on Apple Colony Road.

4:09 p.m., Lime Kiln Road area A 30-year-old woman was booked on misdemeanor warrants after a Fish and Game warden saw her at Lime Kiln Road at Sullivan Creek Road.

5:56 p.m., Columbia A man said another man was walking around Historic Columbia State Park with a loaded handgun. A deputy spoke with the man who denied carrying it around.

6 p.m., Sonora Meadows A caller said two teens dressed in dark clothes were walking around Creekside Drive and Sallander Drive looking into mailboxes.

6:46 p.m., Sonora Meadows A woman said her son found a birthday card near a house on Creekside Drive that had been torn open.

7:14 p.m., Groveland area A manager at Yosemite Riverside Inn said a man came into the office and "exploded" because he was upset about a room.

7:32 p.m., Wards Ferry Road area A woman said two people were having sex in a truck parked on Albert Lane Road near Route 5 Road. She saw legs and found condoms after the vehicle left. The woman gave a deputy the license plate number of the white Ford pickup truck.

9:16 p.m., Cedar Ridge A man heard a gunshot and saw a strange truck parked in his driveway on Kuien Mill Road. Two deputies checked the area and found a 44-year-old woman with a loaded handgun in her truck. She denied shooting the gun, however, she was arrested on suspicion of carrying a loaded concealed handgun.


7:06 a.m., La Grange A woman said two cows were in her yard on the 5200 block of Llanura Drive.

8:51 a.m., Tuttletown area A man said several items, including a tractor, had been stolen from his aunt's home on the 7600 block of Reynolds Ferry Road.

9:10 a.m., Sonora Hills A man said a concrete statue was taken from his yard on the 19500 block of River Birch Court.

10:19 a.m., Columbia A woman said tools worth several thousands of dollars were taken from a construction site on the 23500 block of Italian Bar Road.

11:23 a.m., Shaws Flat A woman on the 21500 block of Shaws Flat Road said there had been a theft on her road and she wanted extra patrols.

12:01 p.m., East Sonora A woman said a man was looking into vehicles in a parking lot on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

12:07 p.m., Sonora area A woman said people were living in a motor home on the side of the 18700 block of Highway 108 and harassing neighbors.

3:42 p.m., Tuolumne A woman said three children were swimming in the pool on Bay Avenue, which is closed.

4:10 p.m., Phoenix Lake A woman said her 14-year-old son while walking on Fallview Lane was asked to get into a stranger's car. It turned out the stranger thought the boy was his neighbor.

6:21 p.m., Kennedy Meadows A man reportedly broke his leg while hiking at Mosquito Lake.

6:58 p.m., Jamestown A man said a person was beating another person with a pipe on 10th Street.

10:13 p.m., Tuolumne A woman on the 18700 block of Main Street said people were in her neighbor's yard, but her neighbors were out of town.


7:24 a.m., Sonora area A man said four solar-powered lights were stolen from his driveway on the 12800 block of Beckwith Circle.

7:50 a.m., Columbia A woman said her purse was stolen while attending an event on Old School house Road.

7:58 a.m., Sonora Meadows A woman said a cell phone was taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 16600 block of Creekside Drive.

8:23 a.m., Jamestown A woman said a bull was in her yard on the 11500 block of La Grange Road.

9:51 a.m., Groveland A man said a 5-foot carved bear was stolen last Thanksgiving from his house on the 12000 block of Breckenridge Road.

1:05 p.m., Cold Springs A man said his next-door neighbors put trash in his Dumpster and have thrown trash all over their property on the 28900 block of Snow White Ridge Drive.

1:32 p.m., Dardenelles A woman said a vehicle was broken into and items were stolen while parked on Highway 108.

2:18 p.m., Twain Harte A man on the 23100 block of Wren Hollow said another man hired to assist his mother had embezzled money from his mother.

3:45 p.m., Groveland A man said a motor and transmission had been stolen from a cabin on the 27500 block of White Oak Road.

3:42 p.m., East Sonora A man said he found a home-made spike strip in his driveway on the 18300 block of Coyote Meadow Road.

4:09 p.m., Sonora area A woman said while driving on Highway 108 a man in a truck intentionally hit her car and refused to identify himself after hitting her.

6:25 p.m., West county An employee of Bev's Boat Rental on the 14400 block of Tulloch Road said someone who damaged a boat was refusing to take responsibility for the damages.

7:46 p.m., Columbia A woman said two kids were throwing sticks at parked vehicles on the 11000 block of State Street.

7:52 p.m., Phoenix Lake A man on the 21900 block of Glenwood Drive said his car was broken into.

9:59 p.m., Crystal Falls A woman said she found her neighbor in her garage on the 22100 block of Crystal Falls Drive.


2:16 a.m., La Grange A woman said two people were swimming with a boat that had a dead battery on Lake Don Pedro and the boat was taking in water.

5:20 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village A man said he was startled by another man while he was trying to deliver papers on the 24500 block of Highway 108.

7:20 a.m., Tuolumne A woman said she suspected a man was living in his car on Short Street.

9:07 a.m., East Sonora A woman said her vehicle was broken into while parked in a lot on the 19500 block of Hess Avenue.

10:46 a.m., East Sonora A man said her vehicle was broken into while parked in a lot on the 19500 block of Hess Avenue.

11:34 a.m., Crystal Falls A woman said her home on the 22100 block of Crystal Falls Drive was broken into.

Felony bookings


11:15 a.m., Sonora Benjamin Neil Roper, 24, 500 block of East Jackson Street, Sonora and Glenn Robert Kolpack, 21, no address given, both booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and a concealed deadly weapon after a traffic stop and arrest on South Stewart Street at Theall Street.

According to a Sonora police report, Officer John Bowly stopped Roper after he failed to stop at a stop sign. Kolpack was a passenger and had two outstanding arrest warrants charging him with possessing controlled substance, burglary, failure to appear and violating probation.

During a search, Bowly reported finding two pocket knives in Roper's pocket and both had a small amount of methamphetamine. At the jail a deputy found another knife on Kolpack.

Kolpack remained held without bail because of the warrants and Roper remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

6:28 a.m., found property A Tuolumne County Transit bus driver found a wallet on Old Wards Ferry Road and turned it over to the police department. The owner picked it up later in the day.

9:57 a.m., animal complaints A rottweiler that had been declared vicious by animal control officers was walking loose on Cielo Vista Way.

10:22 p.m., suspicious circumstances A caller said three homeless people were loitering around an automated teller machine at a bank on Stockton Road.

1:17 p.m., found property A caller found a bicycle on Stockton Road near Highway 108.

2:47 p.m., threats A woman said a man threatened her son on South Shepherd Street.

5:30 p.m., found property A man came to the Sonora Police Department to return lumber taken in error from a house under construction on Morning Star Drive.

9:55 p.m., traffic violation A 39-year-old woman was cited and released for driving with false identification and false license plates tabs after a traffic stop on North Washington Street.


3:12 a.m., miscellaneous harassment A man at a business on the 1000 block of Mono Way said he was being harassed.

7:49 a.m., found property A city employee found a man's wallet on South Washington Street.

8:25 a.m., property damage A caller said the back tire of a vehicle was slashed and the interior trashed while parked on the 300 block of Alpine Lane.

12:59 p.m., hazardous situation A caller said a big rig was blocking traffic on Elkin Street.

3:17 p.m., traffic accident A non-injury accident occurred in a parking lot on the 1000 block of Sanguinetti Road.

8:02 p.m., suspicious circumstances A woman said someone was in an apartment on the 400 block of Greenley Road who was not supposed to be.

9:16 p.m., property damage An employee of Signature Stadium 10 on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road said a girl punched and damaged a poster case.

10:54 p.m., vehicle theft A caller said a locked vehicle was stolen from a parking lot on the 1000 block of Greenley Road.


12:57 a.m., fight A caller said a fight occurred on the first block of South Stewart Street.

2:45 a.m., public intoxication A caller said two women were yelling and throwing things at passing cars on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

8:24 a.m., theft A shoplifter was caught leaving Pak N Save on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road with a cart full of groceries.

3:23 p.m., traffic accident A non-injury accident occurred in a parking lot on Sanguinetti Road.

3:49 p.m., traffic violations A caller on the first block of Pesce Way said a man staggered to his vehicle with three or four children who might not have been properly seat-belted.

5:12 p.m., suspicious circumstances A man was riding an illegal small motorcycle on Southgate Drive.

8:20 p.m. traffic accident A bus hit a parked vehicle on Stockton Road and left the scene.

8:32 p.m., theft A caller said several items were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked on Woods Creek Drive.

11:05 p.m., fight A verbal argument was reported on the first block of South Stewart Street.


2:10 a.m., fight A fight occurred on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

9:24 a.m., Valley Springs A caller said a tire was stolen from a parked vehicle on the first block of California Street.

12:25 p.m., Valley Springs A caller said tools were stolen on the 1800 block of St. Petersburg Road.

12:57 p.m., Murphys A caller said jewelry was stolen on the 600 block of Anrey Court.

2:37 p.m., Valley Springs A caller said a suspicious-looking man was walking on the 2300 block of Reed Way behaving skittishly.

2:42 p.m., Copperopolis A caller said firewood was taken from outside a home on the 100 block of Rock Creek Court.

7:04 p.m., San Andreas A caller said a man was sitting in the middle of Fricot City Road holding something.

7:41 p.m., San Andreas A caller said someone broke into a vehicle and then took off on the 300 block of High School Road.

9:52 p.m., West Point A caller said someone broke into a home on the 22700 block of Highway 26 and took a guitar, change and beer and left a knife on the bed.

10:06 p.m., West Point A woman said she heard movement in the bushes on the 22800 block of Highway 26.


12:07 a.m., San Andreas A man on the 10400 block of Fricot City Road said his car was broken into, and several items were missing and clothing from a neighboring school were left inside.

12:33 a.m., West Point A caller said someone was in a home on the 22800 block of Highway 26 and shouldn't be.

11:04 a.m., Valley Springs A caller said neighbors were fighting on the 8100 block of O'Riley Street.

6:43 p.m., Arnold A fight between two men was reported on the 7100 block of Evergreen Drive.

6:46 p.m., Valley Springs A man on the 8400 block of Pardini Place said his neighbors honk the horn every time they drive by his home.

8:36 p.m., Sheep Ranch A woman said someone came into her home on the 16400 block of Armstrong Road and stole her sleeping pills.

10:41 p.m., Wilseyville A man said someone dumped tires on the 4700 block of Blue Mountain Road.


12:03 a.m., Burson A caller said a group of teenagers parked on the 4700 block of Hillvale Drive were drinking.

10:50 a.m., Rancho Calaveras A caretaker called and said a house on the 600 block of Blue Heron Court was burglarized.

11:32 a.m., Arnold A picnic bench at White Pines Park was smashed with rocks.

12:07 p.m., Arnold A man said his neighbor on the 2400 block of Venado Drive cut down a tree and it hit his propane tank.

2:45 p.m., Murphys A caller said a tree had fallen across the 200 block of Scott Street.

4:33 p.m., West point A caller said two suspicious-looking men were trying to sell things door to door on the first block of Higdon Road.

5:19 p.m., Murphys A caller said two teenagers were harassing people in Murphys Park.

5:40 p.m., San Andreas A woman said while parked on the 500 block of West St. Charles Street, a man intentionally scratched her truck with his keys.

6:19 p.m., Valley Springs A woman said a car pulled up on the 5800 block of Thornicroft Drive and stole her son's bike.
