6:37 a.m., Mono Village A PG&E supervisor asked for a deputy to stand by while a crew trimmed trees on the 19300 block of Susan Way because a homeowner had threatened workers.

8:34 a.m., Groveland A post office employee said that over the weekend the trash at the post office on Back Street was gone through and it appeared credit card offers and statements were looked at.

9:29 a.m., Twain Harte A caller said a purse was stolen from a vehicle parked on Lyons Dam Road.

10:01 a.m., Tuolumne A woman said a vehicle parked on the 20900 block of Tuolumne Road was broken into, but nothing was taken.

10:25 a.m., Tuolumne A man said two people were drinking inside an old brown Chevy pickup truck parked on the side of a building on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road.

12:27 p.m., Big Oak Flat A 35-year-old man was arrested on a Stanislaus County warrant after a caller said there was a fight between and man and a woman at a house near the 17500 block of Highway 120.

2:40 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 10200 block of Preston Lane said she accidentally locked her 9-month-old son in her car parked in front of her apartment. She had already called for roadside assistance to unlock the car, but was concerned the driver would not arrive quickly enough.

3:33 p.m., Don Pedro A Don Pedro High School employee said a soda machine at the school on the 3000 block of Merced Falls Road was broken into and money removed.

4:08 p.m., Dardanelle A woman said she became separated from her 18-year-old boyfriend while the two were hiking in the Clarks Fork area. When she found his sunscreen floating in the river she became concerned something had happened to him. Three deputies searched for the man who was found safe about two miles from where he was last seen around 6 p.m.

5:59 p.m., Tuttletown A caller said a large group of people were near the boat launch ramp on Reynolds Ferry Road at New Melones Reservoir shooting pellet guns toward people.

7:15 p.m., East Sonora A woman said she saw a large glass window break at a condemned bar on the the corner of Mono Way and Peaceful Valley Road. She did not see anyone in the area.

8:02 p.m., Peaceful Valley An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest after a disturbance at a house on the 14900 block of Los Robles Lane. The man grabbed a bat and threatened to do something stupid to get himself arrested, a caller said.

8:18 p.m., Jamestown area A man said he saw people in a 1980s Toyota pickup truck loaded with trash and an old mattress stop at a bridge on O'Byrnes Ferry Road. The man was worried the people might dump the trash over the bridge into the water.

8:52 p.m., Sonora area A man said six to seven carloads of teens were parked on vacant property on the 11000 block of Campo Seco Road near railroad tracks. The man was concerned about a possible fire hazard.

9:20 p.m., Crystal Falls A 20-year-old woman was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery after arrest at a house on the 21900 block of Crystal Falls Drive. A man said the woman was throwing rocks at his house.

9:58 p.m., Columbia A woman said she passed a group of five men on Italian Bar Road who were shooting at a bear.

11:47 p.m., Don Pedro A woman said a group of teens were at a party at a house on the 13600 block of Canada Street when a man came out of the house and stabbed a tire on a van.

Felony bookings


8:06 p.m., Don Pedro A 51-year-old man was booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery after an arrest at his home. According to a sheriff's report, a woman said her husband was beating her up inside the house. The man remained held this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.


1 a.m., Columbia Isaac Marshall, 30, 24200 block of Lama Road, Mi-Wuk Village, booked on suspicion of possessing a deadly weapon after an arrest on Italian Bar Road east of Five-Mile Creek Road, Columbia, by a state Fish and Game warden. He remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Bruce Kevin Paigly, 51, 22500 block of Longeway Road, Sonora, booked at 12:15 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Twain Harte Drive at Mono Drive, Twain Harte.

12:15 a.m., weapons violations A 19-year-old man was cited and released on suspicion of making threats with a weapon after an officer stopped him on Southgate Drive.

12:39 a.m., vandalism A woman brought her car to Sonora police after it was scratched when it was parked at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.

1:59 p.m., public intoxication Two women and a man were arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness after a caller said they were fighting on West Bradford Avenue.

7:03 a.m., hazardous situation A caller said construction trailers and trucks were parked illegally on Morningstar Drive causing a traffic hazard.

8:55 a.m., theft A caller said city traffic signs were stolen from Southgate Drive during the county fair.

10:07 a.m., warrant arrest A 27-year-old man was booked at the county jail on a warrant charging him with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop on Morningstar Drive.

10:46 a.m., animal complaints A woman wanted to file a complaint against another woman for animal neglect after a cat was dropped off at the first woman's house.

3:23 p.m., suspicious circumstances A man who runs a small business out of his home on Fairview Lane said a woman purchased jewelry from him using a stolen credit card.

4:04 p.m., traffic accident No one was injured in a traffic accident on the 600 block of South Washington Street.

6:11 p.m., traffic accident No one was injured in a hit and run accident on South Washington Street.

7:47 p.m., animal complaints A caller said children were abusing a kitten at Sierra Village Apartments on Greenley Road. An officer talked with the children who denied hurting a kitten.

11:30 p.m., public intoxication A 50-year-old man was booked on suspicion of public intoxication after an arrest at a movie theater in Sonora Crossroads shopping center. A caller said the man was outside the theater talking to himself and harassing customers.



3:15 a.m., Sonora area A small fire was reported in an air-conditioner at the Quail Hollow Apartments on the 128100 block of Chuker Circle. Damage was estimated at $200. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

7 p.m., Cedar Ridge Four small spot fires were reported on the 23900 block of Oxbow Lane South. No damage was reported and the fires were extinguished before firefighters arrived. Brian Herd of the same address owns the land. CDF, Tuolumne County Fire Department, one engine from the U.S. Forest Service, one air attack, two air tankers and one helicopter from Columbia Air Base and one crew from Baseline Conservation Camp responded.

11:40 a.m., Wallace A caller on the 9000 block of Wallace Lake Road said a neighbor was trespassing.

12:06 p.m., Wilseyville A man on the 4600 block of Railroad Flat Road said someone was harassing his family.

2:18 p.m., Paloma A caller said a screaming man was driving a car after a woman on Gwin Street.

6:29 p.m., Arnold A caller said someone stole a canoe from outside a house on the 1100 block of Cedar Drive.

7:38 p.m., Murphys A woman said her neighbors on the 600 block of Rockyhill Road were parking their cars on her property.

8:20 p.m., Vallecito A woman on the 4700 block of Camp Nine Road said she can hear a lot of people fighting nearby.


12:18 a.m., San Andreas A caller from Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital said a man had come in with a black eye after he complained about noise at a party.

2:05 a.m., Arnold A caller reported a theft on the 1300 block of San Ramon Drive.

8:06 a.m., Angels Camp A caller said a fish finder and stereo speakers were stolen from a boat at the New Melones Marina.

10:17 a.m., Angels Camp A caller said items were taken from Angels Sewer and Drainage and a work vehicle was vandalized.

10:22 a.m., Copperopolis A caller said construction materials were stolen on the 3000 block of Arrowhead Street.

1:46 p.m., Angels Camp A caller said a vehicle was vandalized and items were taken from it on the New Melones boat ramp.

3:48 p.m., Copperopolis A caller said a house on the 4900 block of Fong Drive was burglarized.

8:22 p.m., Angels Camp A caller said a vehicle was broken into and a toolbox was gone through on the 2800 block of Highway 49.

8:25 p.m., Jenny Lind A caller said a person was taking items off an abandoned vehicle on the 10500 block of Knoll Drive.

9:25 p.m., West Point A caller said someone was throwing rocks at a window on the 500 block of Winton Road.


12:22 a.m., Valley Springs A caller said a door was open at a closed business on the 1600 block of Highway 26.

9:40 p.m., San Andreas Bradley Willis Weimer, 24, 5600 block of Pettinger Road, Burson, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale, being under the influence of drugs and making criminal threats. He remained in custody this morning at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
