10:02 a.m., Twain Harte A caller on the 22300 block of Robin Hood Drive said 12 lobsters were stolen from his freezer in the last few days.

10:22 a.m., Twain Harte A woman on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive said someone used some type of oil to write in the dust "wash me" and "you will die next" on her car. She also received a flat tire.

12:31 p.m., Twain Harte A woman on the 23800 block of Leisure Drive said her neighbor keeps using her address and phone number as his own and freely gives them out to businesses and credit companies.

1:20 p.m., Big Hill area A man on the 24200 block of Five Mile Creek Road said he has an ongoing problem with vandalism. He said he thought those responsible were following him and putting bugs out to listen to him.

1:43 p.m., Ridgewood Someone broke into a house that had just been built on the 16300 block of Ridgewood Drive and stole tools.

2:26 p.m., Columbia A soda machine was vandalized and a gate lock was broken at the Columbia Elementary School pool on the 22500 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

2:45 p.m., Groveland A caller on the 20400 block of Rock Canyon Way said someone stole a motor from his boat.

3:21 p.m., Jamestown Tuolumne County Animal Control requested a deputy's assistance in confiscating vicious dogs.

3:32 p.m., Groveland A caller on the 19500 block of Pleasantview Drive said an inflatable raft and a kayak paddle were stolen from her deck.

3:43 p.m., Tuolumne Someone went through a caller's unlocked cars during the night on the 18500 block of Pine Street and took change and baseball equipment.

5:28 p.m., Jamestown A woman said while she was gone, her home on the 11900 block of Shotgun Creek Road was ransacked and her animals were left out.

10:23 p.m., Twain Harte The owner of Twain Harte Shell on the 22800 block of Twain Harte Drive said she received three checks that have not cleared. The name on the check matched that of a man whose checks had been stolen a few days earlier.

10:23 p.m., Sonora A man pulled a switchblade on an employee of Wal-Mart on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

10:55 p.m., Columbia A caller on the 16100 block of Big Hill Road said a person was setting off bottle rockets.

11:12 p.m., Phoenix Lake A woman driving home on Phoenix Lake Road said the back door of a car she was following kept flopping open. The car pulled over to let the caller pass, and as she did, she saw a woman in the car who looked like she was being held against her will.


12:11 a.m., Groveland A caller said he went swimming near the Wards Ferry Bridge on Wards Ferry Road earlier in the day and saw a yellow rope tied to a bag. He pulled the bag out and inside saw what he thought were human body parts. He left the bag on the shore and left.

1:40 a.m., Chinese Camp A Sierra Pacific Industries laborer was hit over the head with a crowbar when he interrupted a robber trying to pry open the coin box on the mill's break-room soda machine.

Felony bookings


3:47 a.m., Sonora area Keith Darren Lamere, 44, 100 block of Columbia Way, Sonora, booked on warrants charging him with violation of probation, two counts of failure to appear, petty theft with a prior conviction, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a narcotic controlled substance. He also was booked on a number of misdemeanor charges, including possession of drug paraphernalia, being under influence of controlled substance, five counts of failure to appear, three counts of driving on a suspended license, breaking a speed law and two counts of failure to comply with conditions of probation after arrest at his home. Lamere was held in Tuolumne County Jail this morning without bail.

8 a.m., Sonora Jonathan Stanley Penrod, 21, 20300 block of Turner Court, Scenic Brook, booked on a warrant for felony violation of probation after surrendering at the Tuolumne County Jail lobby. He was released this morning.

2:04 p.m., Sonora Matthew Sidney Davidson, 18, 700 block of Wheeler Road, Santa Rosa, booked on a warrant for felony conspiracy and misdemeanor vandalism and theft after surrendering at the Tuolumne County Jail lobby. A judge released him on his own recognizance.

2:04 p.m., Sonora Elvis Brian Babcock, 26, 15400 Big Hill Road, Sonora, booked a warrant for felony failure to appear and being under the influence of a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance, two counts of driving under the influence, two counts of driving on a suspended license and failure to appear after being remanded from superior court. He was held this morning in lieu of $18,000 bail.

Lynne Barbara Connolly, 44, 24200 block of Oxbow Lane North, Sonora, booked at 2:10 a.m. yesterday morning after arrest on the 22800 block of South Fork Road, Twain Harte.

David Phillip Barcelles, 24, 18400 block of Tuolumne Road, booked at 3:06 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Tuolumne Road North at Ponderosa Road, Tuolumne.

1:25 a.m., property damage A caller said while he was gone someone was in his house on the 100 block of North Shepherd Street and vandalized everything inside.

11:25 a.m., fraud An employee of Save Mart, on the 1000 block of Mono Way, said the store had checks that were returned, lost or stolen.


4:39 a.m., suspicious circumstances A caller said two men were digging in planters and talking to the plants on the 100 block of Hospital Road.

9:23 a.m., assault After leaving court on the 100 block of Yaney Avenue, a man spit on his wife and made vulgar remarks at her.

10:18 a.m., vandalism A truck parked at Sonora Carpet Mart on the 700 block of Mono Way was vandalized over the weekend.

7:04 p.m., embezzlement A woman was taken into custody on suspicion of embezzlement at Mervyn's on 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.


1:25 p.m., lost, found property A cell phone was reported lost or stolen from the Mother Lode Fairgrounds on Stockton Road.

2:00 p.m., suspicious circumstances A caller said a man was selling electronic equipment out of his Jeep on Sanguinetti Road.

9:43 p.m., found property An ATM card was found on the ground outside of Bank of America on the 100 block of Washington Street.


1:45 a.m., public intoxication An intoxicated woman was walking near Bank of America on the 100 block of Washington Street.

3:08 a.m., hazardous situation A tree limb was partially blocking the 300 block of East Bald Mountain Road.



Noon, Don Pedro Reservoir A small spot fire was reported in the Blue Oaks Campground. When Don Pedro recreation employees and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection crews responded, they found someone trying to capture a rabbit by smoking it out of a culvert pipe. No information was available about who the culprit was or if that person was cited.


1:44 p.m., Little Sweden What was reported as a vehicle fire on Highway 108 turned out to be burning fuel that had leaked from the vehicle. The fire was put out with extinguishers before Tuolumne County Fire Department arrived. The 1995 Ford Bronco is owned by Tyler King of Hughson.


8:58 a.m., Don Pedro Reservoir A trash bin fire at Fleming Meadows Campground was caused by hot embers from a campfire. Turlock Irrigation District is the landowner, and CDF responded.

8:04 p.m., West Point A vehicle was vandalized on the first block of Robbinville Drive.

8:50 a.m., Mokelumne Hill A mailbox was blown up on the 6800 block of Highway 49.

1:26 p.m., Arnold A caller on the 2400 block of Meadow Drive said a construction crew damaged a faucet, driveway and trees.

1:29 p.m., San Andreas A person stole two beers from a Texaco gas station on Highway 49.

2:11 p.m., Hathaway Pines A caller on the 4400 block of Foster Court said someone stole a vehicle from a locked garage by using a hidden garage door opener. The person who stole the vehicle later crashed it at the intersection of Pool Station Road and Highway 4 near Copperopolis.

3:16 p.m., Jenny Lind Threats were reported on the 7000 block of Gabor Street.

3:29 p.m., Avery A diamond ring was reported missing from a house on the 4400 block of Moran Road.

4:16 p.m., Rail Road Flat A domestic dispute was reported on the 2900 block of Liberty Hill Road.

4:29 p.m., Valley Springs A homeowner on the 200 block of West Sequoia Avenue was accused of stealing water.

4:57 p.m., Murphys A disturbance was reported at a parking lot on the 100 block of Highway 4.

5:31 p.m., Valley Springs A woman on the 300 block of East Sequoia Avenue said a man whom she has a restraining order against was not behaving himself.

6:13 p.m., Valley Springs Two men stole two bottles of tequila from Mar-Val Food Stores on the first block of Highway 26.

6:59 p.m., Murphys Juveniles were skateboarding on picnic tables at Murphys Community Park.

7:41 p.m., Avery An argument was reported on the 4400 block of Moran Road.

8:03 p.m., San Andreas Juveniles were removing a basketball hoop on the 400 block of Toyon Court.

8:18 p.m., Burson Abandoned cabins were trashed on the 3500 block of South Burson Road.

9:58 p.m., San Andreas An argument between a man and woman was reported on the 400 block of East St. Charles Street.

10:22 p.m., Valley Springs Juveniles were throwing rocks on the 3800 block of Dunn Road.


12:12 a.m., Dorrington A suspicious man at a bar on the 3400 block of Highway 4 was asking for a ride. A deputy gave him one to the Calaveras County Jail, where he was booked on a grand theft warrant.

1:15 a.m., West Point A caller on the 500 block of Winton Road said someone threw a rock near her head. She said it might have been her ex-boyfriend who could have been in her backyard.

Felony bookings


2:40 p.m., Copperopolis Nicholas Robert McCullough, 21, 1700 block of Bearclaw Way, Copperopolis, booked on Calaveras and San Joaquin county warrants charging him with suspicion of willful cruelty to a child, second-degree burglary and stealing a vehicle. McCullough remained in custody this morning at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.

6:45 p.m., Glencoe Shane Colton Corey, 22, 900 block of Sawyer Heights Road, West Point, booked on suspicion of committing burglary. As of this morning, Corey remained in custody at the county jail in lieu of $45,000 bail.


2 a.m., Dorrington Tris Howard Pennington, 22, 6700 block of Rail Road Flat Road, Mountain Ranch, booked on an Amador County warrant alleging grand theft. He was transferred to the Amador County Jail.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Roy Denis Page, 48, 3200 block of Golden Gate Court, San Andreas, booked at 12:44 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 49, south of Court Street in San Andreas.



9 a.m., Mokelumne Hill A 20-by-20-foot grass fire on the 6400 block of Camino Del Oro was caused by children playing with fire. The property is owned by Paula Elston of the same address. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District responded. No dollar damage was reported.
