7:10 a.m., Don Pedro A man on the 12000 block of La Grange Road said someone broke into his trailer.

7:34 a.m., Twain Harte While walking down Chickadee Lane, a man said that he saw his neighbor's home on the 17900 block was broken into.

9:24 a.m., Jamestown A woman on the 18100 block of Sixth Avenue said she came home one day to find her cats in a closet and a chair moved.

12:05 p.m., Jamestown A ranger calling from Jacksonville Road said a vehicle parked in a marina's overflow parking lot was covered in graffiti. The owners were out on a houseboat and unaware of the damages.

12:24 p.m., Groveland A man on the 19600 block of Elder Lane said when he was balancing his checkbook, he discovered someone had stolen 13 checks and spent over $1,100 from his account.

12:54 p.m., Strawberry A caller on the 29300 block of Leland Court said people were camping on his property.

1:19 p.m., Jamestown A business owner calling on the 18200 block of Main Street said a customer came in and yelled at the owner's 13-year-old daughter, who was running the store by herself. The customer didn't agree with the price the girl stated.

3:30 p.m., Pinecrest Two boys stole a gray inflatable boat from the Pinecrest Marina and took it out on the lake.

5:34 p.m., Jamestown A manager at Woods Creek Mobilehome Park, on the 18700 block of Highway 108, said a man who has been evicted from the park several times was back. The man carries a pistol in the waistband of his pants, she said.

6:50 p.m., East Sonora An employee of Burger King on the 13700 block of Mono Way said two men at the drive-through window had a baby fawn in the back of their pickup truck. When the fawn lifted its head, one of the men started hitting it in the head.

7:51 p.m., Pinecrest A woman calling on the 29600 block of Leland Court said a man was trying to get into her downstairs door. Earlier, he was hanging around outside her house, hiding in trees, behind rocks and underneath her deck.

8:21 p.m., Crystal Falls A woman on the 21800 block of Crystal Falls Drive said three teenage boys ran by her house and threw fireworks at her grandchildren.

8:40 p.m., Pinecrest A woman calling from a cabin on the lake said her neighbors' boat tipped over, spilling four family members, who didn't swim well, into the lake. The family was hanging onto the sides of the boat waiting for help.

8:58 p.m., Pinecrest The California Department of Forestry fire boat reported a drunken boater hitting other boats on the water.

9:08 p.m., Jamestown A caller on the 11000 block of McKibbin Drive said she thought her neighbor was lurking around her house.

4:12 p.m., Sonora Derek Richard Bernatz, 26, 18800 block of Cherokee Road, Tuolumne, and Charles Lewis Brimage, 42, 8400 block of Melones Dam Road, Jamestown, booked after being remanded from Tuolumne County Supreme Court on suspicion of contempt of court. Both have been released.


9:46 a.m., Sonora area Miguel Angel Martinez, 42, 900 block of American Street, San Carlos, booked at 9:46 a.m. on suspicion of felony spousal abuse and felony phone line damage after arrest on the 1800 block of Lime Kiln Road. He was held in Tuolumne County Jail this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

6:04 a.m., San Andreas People living near the Calaveras County Airport said three men in black were looking into their back yards.

6:05 a.m., West Point A man walked up to the caller's house on the 300 block of Sawyer Road and asked for directions. The caller thought it was suspicious that someone was up that early in the morning and was so far away from his destination without a car.

8:53 a.m., Arnold There was a report of a girl being threatened and harassed by another juvenile on the 2800 block of Pine Knoll Drive.

10:11 a.m., West Point A Baptist church was burglarized on the 300 block of Cemetery Lane.

10:51 a.m., West Point A vehicle was stolen from the 22000 block of Highway 26.

11:14 a.m., West Point A caller on the 1400 block of Woodhouse Mine Road said juveniles were chasing a boy and trying to steal his bicycle.

11:36 a.m., Valley Springs A caller on the 6400 block of Friedman Way said a man and juveniles were arguing the night before.

12:56 p.m., Hathaway Pines There was a report of two men breaking into a newspaper stand on the 5100 block of Highway 4. A deputy found the two men were the owners and were repairing the locks.

1:50 p.m., Douglas Flat A neighbor complained that a beginner band was practicing the same song over and over. The members agreed to stop playing.

2:55 p.m., Jenny Lind There was an argument regarding vandalism on the 8700 block of Main Street.

3:30 p.m., Valley Springs About 170 gallons of gasoline were reported stolen from La Contenta Business Center on the 1900 block of Vista Del Lago Drive.

7:42 p.m., Valley Springs A deputy responded to a report of two women arguing at a grocery store on the first block of Highway 26.

8:59 p.m., Arnold There was a bear in a driveway on the 2000 block of Colleen Court.

9:08 p.m., San Andreas Someone attempted to steal beer from a business on the 2100 block of Gold Strike Road.

10:15 p.m., San Andreas A deputy responded to a dispute between two neighbors over a pellet gun.


2:57 a.m., Wallace A caller on the 200 block of Creekview Lane said six prowlers were outside.

Felony bookings


10 p.m., Angels Camp Juan Pablo Navarro-Oliva, 18, 1000 block of French Camp Road, French Camp, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale and giving false identification to an officer. As of this morning, Navarro-Oliva remained in custody at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.


3:38 a.m., Arnold Matthew Scott Houser, 18, 2600 block of Country Club Drive, Arnold, booked on suspicion of growing marijuana. Houser remained in custody at the county jail this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Dale Paul Sherman, 53, 15300 block of East Liberty Road, Galt, booked at 4:58 a.m. Saturday after arrest at a San Andreas gas station on the 300 block of St. Charles Street.



9:30 p.m., Camanche area Fireworks ignited a three-acre grass fire on East Bay Municipal Utility District property at 8779 Camanche Parkway. Range damage caused by the fire, doused by a California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection engine crew, was estimated at $600.
