SUNDAY

12:28 p.m., Jamestown A man on the 18700 block of Mill Villa Road said lawn statues were taken from his yard overnight and also from a neighbor's house.

12:36 p.m., Columbia The owner of Columbia Inn Motel on the 22600 block of Broadway Street said a television, refrigerator and telephone were stolen from a room.

12:55 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 10300 block of Preston Lane said a 9-year-old boy who was playing with a snake that looked like a rattler got bit.

1:23 p.m., Dardanelle A real estate agent said a cabin on Seven Pine Trail appears to have been broken into.

1:33 p.m., Sonora A man driving a white Jeep Wrangler with a white pit bull dog inside was wanted by Sonora police for questioning about a dog-bite incident on the 400 block of Greenley Road.

1:43 p.m., Groveland A woman said three people on a motorbike were tearing up the grounds at Tenaya School, off Highway 120.

2:21 p.m., Tuolumne A woman on the 18000 block of Providence Mine Road said she was assaulted by a man who broke some of her belongings and tried to choke her.

2:36 p.m., Twain Harte A man said a boy wearing a black shirt and dark blue jeans stole a pin flag from the fourth hole at Twain Harte Golf Course. The boy threw the flag to another boy waiting on the other side of Golf Club Drive.

2:54 p.m., Crystal Falls area A caller said two railroad ties in the middle of the 20900 block of Longeway Road were a hazard.

2:59 p.m., Twain Harte A woman said several teens were in a vacant motel unit at Twain Harte Inn on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive.

5:28 p.m., Twain Harte A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at a house on the 22000 block of Tuolumne Road North.

5:31 p.m., Twain Harte A caller said three people in a Chevrolet pickup truck dumped trash off the hill near the intersection of Mt. Elizabeth Road near Middle Camp Road.

5:36 p.m., Twain Harte A man said two girls and seven boys on skateboards were on Golf Club Drive with a pin flag from the Twain Harte Golf Course.

7:30 p.m., Groveland A Pine Mountain Lake security officer said the driver of a green Volvo station wagon dumped trash illegally off Pine Mountain Drive near Ferretti Road.

9:21 p.m., East Sonora A woman said she saw a toddler wearing only a diaper on the side of Mono Way near Mountain View Road.

10:52 p.m., Soulsbyville area A caller said he saw a man and a woman with a dog walking on Sunshine Road South. The man spit on the woman who was crying.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

2 p.m., Columbia Duke Joseph Davenport, 46, 22400 block of South Airport Road, Columbia, booked on a warrant charging him with unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and three other counts of child molestation after an arrest at Pioneer Park, Columbia.

Two Tuolumne County narcotics officers were patrolling Pioneer Park when they saw Davenport. He remained in jail this morning, held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

11:30 a.m., Lambert Lakes A 42-year-old man was booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery, damaging a telephone line and making criminal threats after an arrest at his Rugged Trail home. He was released on his own recognizance yesterday after appearing in court.

11:53 a.m., Wards Ferry area James W. Wooten, 35, 14400 block of Blanket Creek Lane, booked on suspicion of marijuana cultivation, possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and less than an ounce of marijuana after an arrest at his house.

Investigators from Tuolumne Narcotics Team with a search warrant searched Wooten's house before making the arrest, a report said. He was released Friday after posting $10,000 bail.

SATURDAY

Noon, Sonora Gregory Christopher Hanson, 19, 16100 block of Big Hill Road, Columbia, booked on a warrant charging him with vehicle theft, receiving stolen property and failure to appear in court, after he turned himself in at the county jail. He remained held this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

8:25 p.m., Standard Brandon Jeffrey Stearns, 28, 17300 block of Monte Grande Road, Soulsbyville, booked on a warrant charging him with robbery and burglary after an arrest on the 19000 block of Standard Road.

Also arrested was Jimmie Lee Bonham 33, 16900 block of Oak Tree Lane, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a sheriff's report, Deputy Turu Vanderweil spotted a car driven by Bonham on Standard Road and recognized Stearns, the passenger. Stearns was wanted in connection with a home-invasion robbery and burglary on Golf Links Road that took place April 27. When Bonham was searched a deputy found a methamphetamine smoking pipe and methamphetamine in a pants pocket, the report said.

The man who lives at the Golf Links Road house said Stearns and Michael Chad Mills barged into the house, demanded money and stole a video game and the man's wallet, then fled. Mills was arrested the same day when deputies found him in Tuolumne. Stearns remained at large.

Stearns was held this morning in lieu of $100,000 bail. Mills remained in jail, held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Bonham was held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Linda June Gerths, 47, 25800 block of Mono Drive, Long Barn, booked at 9:35 p.m. Friday after arrest on Highway 108 at Twain Harte Drive, Twain Harte area.

Laurie Anne Soto, 45, 7300 block of Sheffield Lane, Dublin, booked at 9:57 p.m. Friday after an arrest on Tinnin Road at Old Wards Ferry Road, Sonora. She also was booked on suspicion of driving with a license suspended for a previous drunken driving conviction.

Todd William Bargmann, 40, 19500 block of Roselyn Lane, Sonora, booked at 1:52 a.m. Saturday after arrest on School Street at North Washington Street, Sonora.

Holly Jennifer Wendell, 32, 400 block of Sonora Avenue, Sonora, booked at 3:42 a.m. Saturday after arrest on South Washington Street at Restano Way, Sonora.

Brandon David Brewer, 19, 8900 block of French Flat Road, Jamestown, booked at 5:30 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Phoenix Lake Road at Winters Rock Road, Belleview Oaks.

Priscilla Ashley Ann Wood, 21, 20900 block of Shaws Flat Road, Sonora, booked at 8:35 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Tuolumne Road west of Nugget Boulevard, Standard.

Delia Clare Geisler-Scott, 46, 8900 block of Fraguero Road, Sonora, booked at 11:35 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Highway 108 at Montezuma Junction, west Tuolumne County area.

Phillip Michael Britt, 37, 200 block of Greenley Road, Sonora, booked at 1:55 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 108 at The Junction shopping center, East Sonora.

Michael Lee Nystrom, 29, 19600 block of Elder Lane, Groveland, booked at 2:15 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Pine Mountain Drive east of Ferretti Road, Groveland.

Sonora police reports

SUNDAY

8:48 a.m., traffic violation A 34-year-old woman was cited for driving without a license after an arrest on South Washington Street south of Bradford Avenue.

10:04 a.m., theft A caller from Wal-Mart said a man opened a package and took the contents out of it without paying.

1:12 p.m., animal complaints A small child was bitten by a dog on the 400 block of Greenley Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

SUNDAY

12:23 p.m., Murphys A woman called 911 twice to report that someone had spray painted her shed on the 200 block of Crider Lane.

1:14 p.m., Angels Camp New Melones rangers reported a possible drunken driver who may have forced a female into his car. Deputies and Angels Camp Police Department officers stopped the car and found the driver was not drunk and that everything was fine.

6:53 p.m., Valley Springs A caller on 7900 block of Cabernet Street said a neighbor made a derogative hand sign.

10:09 p.m., Valley Springs A car was stolen from Burger King, on the 200 block of Highway 12.

YESTERDAY

3 a.m., Valley Springs A caller said 20 to 30 cows were loose at the intersection of Highway 12 and Messing Road.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

10:54 p.m., Copperopolis Eric Richard Smith, 38, 3100 block of Little John Road, Copperopolis, booked on a felony battery charge. Smith remained in custody this morning at Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $90,000 bail.

SATURDAY

1:25 p.m., Burson Waite Nathan Fisher, 28, 11300 Arapaho Lane, Burson, booked on suspicion of possessing a dangerous weapon. Sheriff's deputies were called to the Burson Post Office about 1 p.m. Saturday, where they say they found Fisher with a "shuriken," a pointed weapon used for throwing, the report said. Fisher remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

7:31 p.m., Mountain Ranch Charles Lamon Nichols, 56, 8400 block of Hidden Valley Road, Mountain Ranch, booked on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a child under the age of 14. Nichols is a registered sex offender. A sheriff's department investigation found that Nichols was nude inside his home last week with an 11-year-old girl, whom he was not related to. The girl said she visited the home "in order to get snacks as she had done in the past," states a sheriff's report. As of this morning, Nichols remained in custody at the county jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.

SUNDAY

12:32 a.m., Valley Springs Benjamin Diego Romero, 27, first block of South Lake Drive, Antioch, booked on suspicion of resisting arrest for violating his parole. Sheriff's deputies responded to a residential parking lot off of Cedar Street late Saturday night on a report of a disturbance between two people. Romero ran away and deputies chased him on foot through several backyards. Deputies used pepper spray, a baton and a Taser on him. Romero was held without bail this morning at Calaveras County Jail.

Donald Kyle Williams, 43, 8500 block of Siegel Street, Valley Springs, booked at 10:14 p.m. Friday after arrest on Highway 26, west of Milton Road.

Trevor Blair Cornish, 27, 2400 block of Wildoak Drive, Murphys, booked at 9:45 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Highway 4, west of Arney Court in Murphys.

David Theodore Baas, 32, 8600 block of Watts Drive, Jenny Lind, booked at 10:58 p.m. Saturday after arrest at the intersection of Sequoia Avenue and Laurel Street in Valley Springs.

Carolyn Rose Anderson, 64, 21000 block of Allan Road, Volcano, booked at 11:39 p.m. Saturday after arrest at the intersection of Highway 49 and Center Street in Mokelumne Hill.

Timothy Michael Oflinn, 37, 3500 block of Main Street, Vallecito, booked at 11:45 p.m. Saturday after arrest at the intersection of Highway 4 and Ansil Davis Road in Vallecito.

Carol Elaine Craig, 51, 10000 block of Quail Drive, Pine Grove, booked at 2:03 a.m. Sunday after arrest at the northern intersection of highways 4 and 49 in Angels Camp.

James Elbert Parish, 47, 1100 block of Birds Way, Angels Camp, booked at 11:23 p.m. Sunday after arrest on Birds Way in Angels Camp.

Fires

SUNDAY

11:55 a.m., Copperopolis A grass fire was reported on the 4300 block of Chief Road. Damage was estimated at $400 to two acres. The fire was caused by a weed trimmer. Dennis Nelson of the same address owns the land. Copperopolis Fire Protection District, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and one CDF helicopter from Columbia Air Base responded.

YESTERDAY

4:02 p.m., Murphys area An illegal debris burn was reported on the 500 block of Rocky Hill Road. No damage was reported. Tim Tate of the same address owns the land. CDF, one CDF helicopter from Columbia Air Base and Vallecito Conservation Camp responded.
