1 a.m., Crystal Falls A man on the 21000 block of Crystal Falls Drive reported a large and weaving orange glow in the eastern sky. The caller was surprised no one else had called about it.

1:50 a.m., Jamestown A man on the 10300 block of Preston Lane said four people were standing around his car with the trunk open. The people left and headed toward Preston Lane, throwing rocks at signs as they left.

4:39 a.m., Tuolumne A Black Oak Casino security officer said a woman in her 30s, possibly drunk, just left the casino on foot headed north on Tuolumne Road.

6:53 a.m., Twain Harte A man said there was a green pickup with no one inside idling near a golf course and playground on Meadow Lane.

7:08 a.m., Quail Hollow area A woman on the 12900 block of Hollow Drive said her house was vandalized overnight.

7:51 a.m., Groveland A man on the 2000 block of Pine Mountain Drive said a tree was cut down on his property and the wood stolen.

9:44 a.m., New Melones Reservoir A man said that while he was fishing at the reservoir Saturday, a window on his truck, parked at a Tuttletown boat ramp, was smashed, and a toolbox broken into.

11:19 a.m., Apple Valley A woman on the 13900 block of Stanton Circle said hinges were broken off a screen door and wood trim around the door was damaged.

12:37 p.m., Sugar Pine A man said that while he was riding his bike on Golf Links Drive, a dog charged him. The rider put his bike between himself and the dog, but the dog's owner encouraged the dog to attack the rider.

1:12 p.m., Tuolumne A Me-Wuk tribal security officer said several teens were inside an old theater building on Chestnut Avenue. A deputy spoke with four teens who admitted being in the building.

2:07 p.m., Tuolumne A Me-Wuk tribal security officer found a woman on the side of Tuolumne Road near Summerville High School screaming incoherently.

2:08 p.m., Jamestown A caller said two men in a gold pickup pulled into a driveway on Campo Seco Road and were firing a gun. A deputy talked to the men and told them they were violating a county ordinance.

5:23 p.m., Quail Hollow A woman said a possibly drunken man shoved two teenage boys outside an apartment on the 12800 block of Chukar Circle.

7:09 p.m., Crystal Falls A man said the driver of a dark-colored sports car was chasing a man. The caller said the driver hit the pedestrian twice and yelled "give me your wallet and it will all be over."

7:53 p.m., Tuolumne area A woman said she heard someone yelling from the direction of a house on Tuolumne Road near Morris Road where no one was home.

8:18 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 18000 block of Ninth Avenue said when she returned home from church, the front door was locked, the television set tuned into a Hispanic television station and her lawyer's telephone number was missing. She said she thought someone was in her house. A deputy told her to keep her doors locked.

8:21 p.m., Greenley Road A caller said a woman was rolling around the middle of Cabezut Road near Greenley Road.

9:20 p.m., Tuolumne A woman on the 18000 block of Mt. Eaton Road said a man in a green Ford Ranger pulled into her driveway looking for someone whose name he forgot.

Felony bookings


1:36 p.m., Sonora Anna Dove Campo, 18, undisclosed address on Shaws Flat Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a stabbing instrument and misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana after an arrest at Cassina High School.

According to a Sonora police report, dogs were at the school with their handlers on an unannounced visit. A dog focused on Campo's purse, and the dog's handler opened the purse and found a knife and a small amount of marijuana. Campos was arrested by the school resource officer.

She was released yesterday on her own recognizance.


12:05 a.m., Big Hill area Jeremy Paul Hernandez, 26, undisclosed address on Ninth Avenue, Jamestown, booked on a felony parole hold after an arrest on Quail Mine Road at Covington Road. No details were available. He remained held without bail this morning.

5:58 p.m., Sonora Monico Arenas Tapia, 23, undisclosed address on Tuolumne Road, and Jose Guillermo Perez, 23, 600 block of Sanguinetti Road, Sonora, both booked on suspicion of being in the United States illegally after a traffic stop and arrest on Restano Way at South Washington Street. They were held without bail this morning.

Jarrod Anthony Martin, 19, 15600 block of Kelso Road, Byron, Contra Costa County, booked at 3:30 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Greenley Road at Sylva Lane, Sonora.

Christopher Raymond Marshall, 50, 3400 block of Vintage Drive, Modesto, booked at 5:40 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Highway 120 east of Jacksonville Road, Jamestown area.

James Edward Roeber, 51, 2400 block of Hope Lane, Sonora, booked at 10:11 p.m. Saturday after arrest on East Oakside Drive, Sonora.

Bonnie Rae Howard, 41, 1100 block of South Washington Street, Sonora, booked at 6:45 p.m. Sunday after arrest on Melones Court east of Highway 49, Tuttletown area.

Timothy Shea Murphy, 36, 300 block of Magnolia Avenue, Modesto, booked at 11:59 p.m. Sunday after arrest on Mono Way at Greenley Road, Sonora. He was also booked on suspicion of driving with a license previously suspended for a previous drunken driving conviction.

Travis Alan Olsson, 21, 2600 block of Choctow Road, Copperopolis, booked at 2:51 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 49 at Rolling Hills Blvd., Columbia area.

10:31 a.m., theft Vending machines at Sonora High School were broken into.

11:05 a.m., found property A sleeping bag found at Coffill Park on South Washington Street was returned to its owner.

11:06 p.m., found property A caller found a purse dumped into bushes near Department of Motor Vehicles on Morning Star Drive.

2:06 p.m., suspicious circumstances An ambulance crew said a woman was digging through and hiding in bushes near the main entrance at Tuolumne General Hospital.

2:52 p.m., warrant arrest A 34-year-old man was arrested on misdemeanor warrants on North Stewart Street.

4:35 p.m., disorderly conduct A caller said a young man was riding a dirt bike up and down East Hillcrest.

7:54 p.m., traffic accident A caller on Shaws Flat Road heard a vehicle driving by fast and hitting something three times.

9:35 p.m., public fight A caller said a man was sitting in front of a store at Sonora Crossroads shopping center and threatened to hit a man when he came out of the store.

10:14 p.m., disorderly conduct A caller said kids in Heaven for Kids Children's park were running a generator for lights and revving their engines.

11:48 p.m., assault A 27-year-old man was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor assault and vandalism after an arrest behind a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

9:07 a.m., Wallace Cows were standing on the 10000 block of Gregory Road.

9:25 a.m., Arnold A vacation cabin on the 2200 block of Jenny Lind Court was broken into.

9:35 a.m., Valley Springs A person on 2800 block of Stagecoach Drive said a neighbor was violating a restraining order.

11:14 a.m., Jenny Lind A passerby reported a 16-month-old baby wearing diapers sitting on the 400 block of Driver Road.

12:16 p.m., Camp Seco A historical building on Penn Mine Road was vandalized. Sheep were the culprits.

12:45 p.m., Murphys A caller said she left her purse on her car and drove home after Murphys Irish Days.

1:14 p.m., Copperopolis A caller on the 5000 block of Pueblo Trail said there was a dispute with neighbors regarding property lines.

2:47 p.m., Murphys A caller on the 500 block of Sunny Oak Court said her neighbor threatened her 11-year-old daughter about stealing parking signs from Murphys Irish Days.

3:31 p.m., Arnold A caller on the first block of Splash Dam Way said her ex-husband and his girlfriend are stealing her identity.

4:21 p.m., Jenny Lind A caller on the 7400 block of Jenny Lind Road said her neighbor ran over her mail box.

7:12 p.m., Copperopolis An intoxicated man was reportedly walking into traffic on the 2900 block of Little John Road.

10:32 p.m., Mountain Ranch Money and a pistol were reportedly stolen from the 9300 block El Dorado Trail.

10:38 p.m., Valley Springs A caller on the 6400 block of Garner Place said people in a silver SUV threw toilet paper on their neighbor's vehicle.

11:59 p.m., Valley Springs Annoying phone calls were received on the 200 block of East Highway 12 at the Castle Rock Mobile Home Park.



10:45 a.m., Arnold area A quarter-acre timber fire was reported on the 1900 block of Airacobra Avenue. An escaped debris burn caused the flames. Henry Johnston of the same address owns the property. Ebbetts Pass Fire Protection District, Bear Valley Fire Protection District and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection responded.
