7:14 a.m., Sonora Meadows A woman on the 16600 block of Creekside Drive said at 4 a.m. she heard a noise. When she went to her car later, a window was broken and her purse was missing.

10:37 a.m., Dodge Ridge A woman turned in a diamond ring she found at Dodge Ridge Ski Area to a sheriff's deputy.

10:43 a.m., Jamestown A 52-year-old man was booked on suspicion of being drunk in public after a caller found the man passed out behind a business on the 18100 block of Main Street.

10:56 a.m., Groveland A woman on the 12700 block of Junipero Serra asked what wording she could put on a sign to prevent illegal dumping of garbage into an apartment complex trash bin.

11:45 a.m., Groveland A 24-year-old man was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor vandalism after a woman on the 18900 block of Main Street said he broke a window on her trailer and threatened her with a golf club.

3:10 p.m., Sierra Village A woman on the 25000 block of Highway 108 said her son's bike, valued at $200, was stolen.

3:51 p.m., East Sonora An American General Financial Services employee said a man in the business on the 13700 block of Mono Way was becoming irate and ready to start a fight.

4:02 p.m., Twain Harte A caller said a suspicious man came out of a house on the 18700 block of Sequoia Lane. The caller said the man should not have been at the house.

4:40 p.m., Chinese Camp A caller said a man pointed a gun at the caller after the man left a house on the 13400 block of Red Hills Road.

5:34 p.m., East Sonora A Flyers clerk said a man stole a $1.49 burrito from the store on the 13700 block of Mono Way and was eating it in front of a swimming pool around the corner from the store.

7:30 p.m., Columbia A woman on the 22400 block of Airport Road South said neighborhood youths shot the woman's cat in the head with a paintball.

8:18 p.m., Jamestown Two callers said five people with binoculars were in a cemetery across from the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

10:40 p.m., Pine Mountain Lake A man on the 11000 block of Powder House Street said a woman ripped a phone line out of a wall in his home.


12:30 a.m., Crystal Falls A man on the 21000 block of Crystal Falls Drive said his brother stole money out of a safe and wanted the brother confronted by a deputy.

Felony bookings


7:46 p.m., Sonora area Frederick Edward Caler, 23, 20100 block of Jamestown Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of damaging a telephone line after an arrest at his home.

According to a sheriff's report, Caler was arguing with his sister and when the sister felt threatened, she tried to call 911, but Caler pulled the phone line out of the wall. He remained held this morning in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Jeffrey Lee Jones, 50, 16700 block of South Creekside Drive, Sonora, booked at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday after arrest on Highway 108 at Via Este.

8:36 a.m. suspicious circumstances A caller said three men sleeping inside a blue van parked on the 300 block of South Washington Street with the engine running were rude and refused to leave the area.

10:25 a.m., vandalism A caller said a fire extinguisher was stolen from a box on the wall at an apartment building on the 200 block of Greenley Road when someone smashed the glass with a rock.

10:40 a.m., suspicious circumstances A caller reported seeing a man put a boy into the back seat of his car parked at Sonora Plaza shopping center and drive away.

2:03 p.m., trespassing A man and a woman were trespassing on private property on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

3:05 p.m., animal complaints A caller said a stray dog was running loose on Highlands View Drive.

3:15 p.m., traffic violation A caller said a driver going north on Highway 49 toward Parrotts Ferry Road threw trash from the car.

5:09 p.m., traffic accident No one was injured in an accident on the 1200 block of Mono Way near Sanguinetti Road.

11:27 p.m., found property A wallet found in front of a building on the 30 block of North Washington Street was given to an officer.



5 p.m., Tuolumne A flue fire was reported on the 18300 block of Main Street. No damage was reported. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Tuolumne County Fire Department, Tuolumne Fire Protection District, and Twain Harte Community Services District Fire Department responded.

7:31 a.m., Valley Springs A vehicle parked next to a coffee shop on the first block of California Street was vandalized.

8:07 a.m., West Point Two neighbors were in an argument on the first block of Sandy Gulch Lane. One neighbor was arrested.

8:23 a.m., Valley Springs Items were stolen from a car on the 7700 block of Gabor Street.

8:33 a.m., San Andreas A disturbance was reported in the women's wing of the Calaveras County Jail.

9:43 a.m., Jenny Lind An annoying phone call was reported on the 10000 block of Shalimar Drive.

9:43 a.m., Copperopolis A caller on the 2400 block of Oak Creek Drive said his garbage was stolen.

11:02 a.m., Arnold A house was burglarized on the 1700 block of Bonanza Way.

12:12 p.m., Arnold Medications were stolen from the 2200 block of Silver Drive.

12:49 p.m., San Andreas An argument was reported on the 1500 block of East St. Charles Street.

2:37 p.m., San Andreas A person accused of shoplifting was arrested on the 100 block of East St. Charles Street.

4:18 p.m., San Andreas A caller from the Goldstrike Mobile Home Park said juveniles riding bicycles seemed to be up to no good.

5:28 p.m., San Andreas There was a report of a possibly drunken driver heading north on Highway 49.

6:20 p.m., Valley Springs A caller on the 200 block of Oakmont Court said two people were attempting to sell alarm systems. The solicitors, who each had walkie talkies, were asking for layouts of residences. A deputy contacted the people, and concluded they seemed to be from a legitimate alarm company.

6:21 p.m., Valley Springs Money was reportedly stolen from the wallet of a caller on the first block of Highway 12.

8:13 p.m., San Andreas Four runaways were reported missing from Rite of Passage on the 10400 block of Fricot City Road. They were found and returned.

9:02 p.m., Rail Road Flat Fireworks were set off on the 600 block of Black Oak Drive.

9:44 p.m., Valley Springs A caller in the New Hogan Lake Estates subdivision reported a lot of vehicle traffic in her neighborhood.

9:45 p.m., West Point A tree fell on the first block of Winton Road, causing the power to go off.

9:51 p.m., Mokelumne Hill A caller on the 8000 block of Calwood Court said someone drove over a stop sign in Mokelumne Hill.

9:58 p.m., Arnold Juveniles were reportedly racing near Hazel Fischer Elementary School.

10:35 p.m., Arnold There was an argument reported between several people on the 2400 block of Stephanie Drive.

3:30 p.m., San Andreas Michael George Morrissette, 55, 800 block of Taylor Avenue, Alameda, booked on suspicion of felony battery and damaging a telephone or power line on the 300 block of Roberts Street. Morrissette was released after posting $65,000 bail.
