7:28 a.m., La Grange A woman on the 13700 block of Cadina Way said someone went through her mail on Dec. 20. Nothing was taken, she said.

9:09 a.m., Jamestown A caller said a man was dancing and talking to himself on Main Street.

10:39 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village A woman on the 24400 block of Highway 108 said someone stole wood from her shack.

3:05 p.m., Tuolumne County A woman said she lost her cell phone, valued at $379, somewhere in the county.

3:21 p.m., Tuolumne A caller said a man was refusing to leave a market on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road. A manager had told the man not to come inside. Later than evening, the man again visited the store.

3:22 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village A woman reported vandalism to a vacation home on the 24100 block of Nuka Trail. Nothing was taken but several items in the home were damaged.

3:25 p.m., Long Barn A woman said someone broke into a home on the 25900 block of Long Barn Road and stole several things including a television, VCR and compressor.

3:52 p.m., Sonora area A man said he discovered someone had opened the window of a home on the 21900 block of Lyons- Bald Mountain Road. Nothing was taken, but the problem had occurred before, the man said.

5:17 p.m., Groveland A woman said someone burned a portable toilet at the tennis courts on Mueller Drive.

6:54 p.m., Columbia A 23-year-old man was arrested on Tuolumne and Calaveras county warrants following a traffic stop on Horseshoe Bend Road.

10:13 p.m., Soulsbyville A woman said a man in his 30s was looking into her home, on the 19400 block of Jubilee Court. Her son chased the man to the back of the property, she said.

11:05 p.m., Tuolumne A 26-year-old man was arrested on Tuolumne Road on a warrant charging him with failing to stop after an accident and failing to appear in court. Prior to his arrest, a woman said the man, who was a guest in her house, kicked in a door of her home and then left.

11:46 p.m., Sonora area A caller said people in three vehicles were shooting mailboxes on Lime Kiln Road.


12:38 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village A man said he found a bicycle at his vacation cabin on the 24100 block of Paipu Road. The bike had been at the cabin for about two weeks. The man said he checked with his neighbors, but the bike did not belong to them.

1:43 p.m., Pinecrest A woman said her snowboard was stolen while she was at Dodge Ridge ski area.

2:51 p.m., Columbia A woman was arrested on Parrotts Ferry Road on Tuolumne County warrants charging her with traffic violations and failing to appear in court.

4:05 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village A man said someone took things from a building on the 20600 block of Lama Tamalin Road.

4:37 p.m., Tuolumne A woman said a man stopped for shoplifting at Tuolumne Market on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road got away.

7:39 p.m., Tuolumne A woman on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road said strange notes from an anonymous person have been posted on her front door for a week.

9:28 p.m., East Sonora A caller said a man and woman were fighting in front of a restaurant on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

9:54 p.m., Jamestown A woman said someone threw something through her bedroom window, on the 10300 block of Preston Lane.


1:04 a.m., Jamestown A 21-year-old man was arrested on Fifth Avenue on warrants charging him with using a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia.

8:14 a.m., Crystal Falls A man on the 16300 block of Oak Tree Lane said someone has been taking his firewood, adding that earlier that morning, he saw someone with a tool box walking toward his wood pile. When seen, the person left in a white Ford Ranger.

1:07 p.m., burglary A Suzuki Samurai parked across from the bowling alley on South Stewart Street was burglarized.

6:26 p.m., traffic accident A traffic accident at Sonora Community Hospital on South Forest Road was turned over to the California Highway Patrol.


9:17 a.m., hazardous situation A vehicle was parked in the road on Linoberg Street.

12:03 p.m., property damage A caller said someone sprayed black paint on gold lettering on the first block of South Washington Street.

12:05 p.m., burglary A woman said someone burglarized her Sylvan Drive home.

1:43 p.m., theft A theft was reported at a home on the 200 block of South Barretta Street.

11:33 p.m., lost property A woman said she left her purse at a restaurant on the first block of North Washington Street and that when she returned, the business was closed.


8:08 a.m., found property A person found a wallet on South Stewart Street and brought it to the police station.

2:11 p.m., theft A caller said someone took a ladder from a house under construction near Pine and Linoberg streets.

9:28 p.m., traffic accident A man said he witnessed a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot of the Crossroads Shopping Center. A Dodge Ram truck hit a parked blue Saturn, damaging the car's front end. The driver got out and looked at the damage, but did not leave a note with the car, the man said.

10:09 p.m., fight A caller reported a fight in front of a bar on the 100 block of South Washington Street.


Sheriff's reports


3:09 p.m., Valley Springs A woman on the first block of California Street reported finding a suspicious powdery substance in a baggy, that when sniffed, made her sneeze. Authorities later determined the substance to be toilet bowl cleaner.


4:23 a.m., San Andreas A caller said a female patient threatened nurses with a knife at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital on the 700 block of Mountain Ranch Road.

12:08 p.m., Wallace A caller said someone stole a bicycle from a porch on the 8000 block of Wards Avenue.

5:40 p.m., Burson A caller said someone stole a bicycle on the 6800 block of Southworth Road.

Felony bookings


6:10 p.m., Angels Camp Colleen Susan Fish, 42, 500 block of Gardener Lane, Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of assault and battery and threatening someone after arrest at her home. As of this morning she was still in custody in lieu of $25,000 bail.


10:55 a.m., Paloma Manuel Travis Growfisher, 33, 11000 block of Arapaho Court, Burson, booked on an outstanding warrant on suspicion of possessing, manufacturing or selling a dangerous weapon after arrest on the 6000 block of Spring Street, Paloma. He was released after posting $7,500 bail.


4:50 p.m., Arnold Crayton Hastedt Granger, 42, 16000 block of Armstrong Road, Sheep Ranch, booked on an outstanding warrant on suspicion of burglary and force or assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm after arrest at Ace Hardware. As of this morning he was still in custody in lieu of $30,000 bail.

Todd Bruce Cosgrove, 35, 300 block of Wilson Street, Angels Camp, booked at 2:48 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Main Street and Bret Harte Drive.

Steven Anthony Garcia, 43, 900 block of Morado Circle, Copperopolis, booked at 8:21 p.m. Thursday after arrest at O'Byrnes Ferry Road and Reeds Turnpike.

Thomas Brian Mason, 44, 200 block of Summit, Jackson, booked at 12:13 p.m. Friday after arrest on Highway 49 and Center Street in Mokelumne Hill.
