7:15 a.m., Jamestown A woman on the 10600 block of Campo Seco Road said a man was sleeping in a blue vehicle in front of her house.

7:15 a.m., Jamestown A woman said unwrapped Christmas presents were stolen from her unlocked vehicle parked on the 18300 block of Fifth Avenue.

9:50 a.m., Sonora Meadows A man on the 16000 block of South Creekside Drive said his son shot him with a paintball gun and hit his mother.

10:14 a.m., Don Pedro area A woman on Barro Court asked a deputy if it was appropriate to carry a gun while walking to protect herself from dogs. The deputy told the woman to carry pepper spray rather than a gun.

12:11 p.m., Columbia A granite monument depicting the history of Marble Quarry on Parrotts Ferry Road was overturned and vandalized. A dispatcher told the caller the vandalism occurred a couple of weeks ago and that the owners had been notified.

1:36 p.m., Columbia A woman on the 23000 block of Columbia Springs Drive said her credit card was fraudulently used to place a newspaper ad.

1:55 p.m., Twain Harte A Twain Harte Pharmacy employee said a girl was detained for shoplifting, cited and turned over to her parents.

2:09 p.m., East Sonora A Indian Rock Prompt Care employee said a man was in the clinic being treated for wounds he received after being assaulted Sunday.

2:45 p.m., Columbia A woman said her purse was taken from the trunk of her unlocked car parked at Columbia College.

4:20 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 11000 block of McKibbin Drive said lawn ornaments were vandalized.

5:44 p.m., Jamestown A 38-year-old woman was arrested in Rocca Park on Main Street on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court on a public intoxication charge.

6:19 p.m., East Sonora A 42-year-old man was arrested on Highway 108 near Hess Avenue on a Walnut Creek Municipal Court warrant charging him with drunken driving.

8:35 p.m., Columbia A 40-year-old man was arrested on Parrotts Ferry Road on a warrant charging him with vehicle code violations.

11:40 p.m., Sonora A 27-year-old man was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on two drug possession charges. The man was stopped on Stockton Road at Green Street for a traffic violation.


1:41 a.m., Jamestown A 47-year-old man was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear in court on two separate counts of driving with a license suspended for drunken driving. The man was stopped for a traffic violation on Fifth Avenue near Jamestown Elementary School.

Felony bookings


1 p.m., Sonora A 19-year-old Sonora man booked on suspicion of felony battery after an arrest at his home. According to Sonora police reports, the man and his girlfriend were arguing and she said he bit her face. He was released Monday after posting $35,000 bail.

6 p.m., Sonora A 40-year-old man booked on suspicion of felony battery after an arrest on the 200 block of Greenley Road. According to Sonora police reports, the man was arguing with his wife and punched her in the face. She was taken to the hospital. Both the man and the woman were drinking. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

8:26 p.m., Sonora Rogelio Contreras, 20, undisclosed address, Murphys, booked on suspicion of being in the United States illegally after an arrest at Sonora Community Hospital.

According to Sonora police, a hospital employee called for an officer to come to the hospital because Contreras was arguing with a woman. The officer discovered Contreras did not possess documentation to prove he was in the country legally.

Contreras was picked up by federal immigration officials yesterday.


12:24 p.m., Jamestown Richard Earl Weystein, 33, 800 block of 49th Avenue, Oakland, booked on a felony parole violation after an arrest on Highway 108 near Rawhide Road. No details were available. He remained held without bail this morning.

12:59 a.m., disorderly conduct A bartender at The Victoria Room said a woman refused to leave the bar when asked.

3:22 a.m., public intoxication A 44-year-old man on Fairview Lane was booked on suspicion of public intoxication after his wife called 911 to say he had threatened her.

4:11 a.m., suspicious circumstances An officer on another call heard gunshots in the area of Stockton Road, and found bullet holes in windows of two businesses there.

8:04 a.m., vandalism A rock was thrown through the window of Sally Beauty Supply in Sonora Crossroads shopping center overnight.

2:43 p.m., animal complaints A caller on the 700 block of South Barretta Street said a neighbor's pitbull was in a yard unable to move around. An animal control officer helped the dog.

3:33 p.m., theft A teenage girl was cited on suspicion of shoplifting from Mervyn's in Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

3:54 p.m., disorderly conduct A woman said kids in a blue pickup cut her off while she was getting coffee on South Washington Street and threw rocks at her vehicle.

4:37 p.m., reckless driving A man said several people got out of their car and confronted the caller on South Stewart Street after he said something to them about reckless driving.

8:31 p.m., shoplifting A 17-year-old boy was turned over to juvenile probation after he allegedly shoplifted from Save Mart on Stockton Road.

10:29 a.m., Arnold A caller on the 100 block of Woodchip Circle said someone threw a rock through the windshield of his vehicle, which is for sale.

5:17 p.m., Valley Springs A suspicious man was reported circling the 1900 block of Berkesey Drive in a white van, "possibly looking to cause trouble."

6:19 p.m., Burson Suspicious vehicles were reportedly parked on Evans Frontage Road.

10:27 p.m., Valley Springs A caller on the 6500 block of McCauley Road said someone in his neighborhood shot and killed his dog.

10:49 p.m., Murphys A stolen vehicle was discovered behind Murphys Hotel.

10:59 p.m., Rail Road Flat One person was arrested by a deputy after a report of three suspicious people at the Rail Road Flat Store.

Felony bookings


8:15 p.m., Valley Springs Michelle Diane Hardwick, 31, 8000 block of Savage Way, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary and receiving stolen property after arrest at a grocery store. She was released after posting $30,000 bail.

10:10 p.m., Copperopolis A 19-year-old Angels Camp man was booked on suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor after arrest at the intersection of O'Byrnes Ferry Road and Highway 4. He was released after posting $10,000 bail.

Bradley Wayne Deaver, 28, 11000 block of East Jahant Road, Acampo, booked at 6:05 p.m. Monday after arrest at Lake Camanche.

Harry Lewis Nelson, 57, 1000 block of Main Street, Douglas Flat, booked at 7 p.m. Monday after arrest at Highway 4 and Parrotts Ferry Road.
