Cowboys, calling all cowboys.
Maverickk, an Angels Camp casting company, is seeking ruggedly handsome, physically fit, Caucasian men between 30 and 47 years old who look good in cowboy attire and can ride and rope.
The company is casting for a national television and print advertising campaign but doesn't know what product is being promoted.
The talent search takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds.
Maverickk was formed in April by Sara Cooper, who lives on a Circle XX llama ranch, and Cheryl McIntire, of Jamestown.
It is one of several casting companies in California and Nevada on the lookout for cowboys, who could be paid about $600 a day if they get the job.
"We want real cowboys," McIntire said. She suggests auditioners come dressed in "working Western attire," because they will be filmed and photographed in front of an old Western town replica at the fairgrounds.
Interested men can call 984-0550 or just show up.
