7:35 a.m., Jamestown A generator valued at $2,200 was stolen from a house under construction on the 18200 block of Oak Creek Court.

9:27 a.m., Quail Hollow A woman on the 20200 block of Grouse Way said two people wearing masks, one of which was the cartoon character Wile E. Coyote, stole mail from mailboxes. The theft was caught on surveillance videotape.

10:04 a.m., Jamestown A woman said her purse was stolen from a vehicle parked on the 18700 block of Chabroullian Lane in early October. Monday she found out her JCPenney charge card has been used.

10:33 a.m., Greenley Road area A woman said a chain-link fence at Visiting Nurses Association on the 20000 block of Cedar Road North was cut. The fence surrounded vending machines.

3:14 p.m., Don Pedro area A woman said a man left Olivia's RV Park on the 3200 block of Highway 132 without paying his bill.

5:56 p.m., East Sonora A woman said a man who is forbidden to be near her by court order contacted her while she was shopping in The Junction shopping center.

7:09 p.m., Twain Harte A caller said a woman was throwing his belongings out of his house, on the 23400 block of Highway 108.

7:38 p.m., East Sonora A woman on the 13700 block of Mono Way said her purse was stolen while she at The Junction shopping center.

11:09 p.m., Jamestown A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest after being stopped by a deputy on Maple Alley and Ninth Avenue.


1:41 a.m., East Sonora A tow-truck driver said he brought a disabled car and the owner to a gas station on the 13700 block of Mono Way so the owner could get money from an ATM machine to pay for the tow. But after the car's owner put gas into his car, argued over the $75 towing fee, then drove off with the pump hose still attached to the car.

7:16 p.m., Jamestown An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of felony battery and vandalism after an arrest at his home. According to a sheriff's report, neighbors called 911 to say a man was beating up his girlfriend. Deputies arrived and arrested the young man. He remained in custody this morning, held in lieu of $35,000 bail.

Justin Jon Pyle, 20, 12700 block of Chukar Circle, Sonora, booked at 9:35 p.m. after an arrest on Fifth Avenue south of Highway 108.

8:49 a.m., vehicle theft A woman on the 200 block of Greenley Road reported her white Ford Explorer stolen.

9:24 a.m., animal complaints A caller said an aggressive white pit bull was in front of a house on South Barretta Street. The dog's owner was cited.

11:55 a.m., misdemeanor arrest A person who threw a tennis ball at a school bus was cited and released.

12:23 p.m., lost property A Groveland woman said she left her purse in a shopping cart on the 1000 block of Mono Way and when she returned to the cart, the purse was gone.

1:13 p.m., suspicious circumstances A disoriented woman was taken to Tuolumne General Hospital for a mental evaluation after reports that she was standing in front of an apartment building on the 300 block of Fairview Lane with two small, wet, cold children. The children were taken into protective custody.

3:35 p.m., suspicious circumstances A caller said a man was trying to take a vehicle from Vic's Towing on the 400 block of North Washington Street.

7:49 p.m., disorderly conduct A caller said a woman brought a snake into a store on the 1000 block of Mono Way and became angry when the manager asked her to leave.

6:38 a.m., Circle XX A caller on the 7000 block of Tapadero Street smelled propane and was worried about fire.

6:51 a.m., Burson A mailbox was reported smashed on the 7000 block of South Burson Road.

7:24 a.m., Murphys A caller said a tree had fallen and was partially blocking Moran road.

10:12 a.m., Valley Springs A church on the 100 block of Laurel Street was reported vandalized by children in the area.

11:31 a.m., West Point A parent reportedly wrote a bad check to West Point Elementary School during a fund-raiser.

11:35 a.m., Burson A truck window was broken on the 6000 block of Evergreen Road.

2:17 p.m., San Andreas A possible break-in was reported at the mental health building at the Calaveras County Government Center.

7:50 p.m., Wilseyville A house was reported burglarized on the 300 block of Highway 26.




5:30 p.m., East Sonora A flue fire was reported on the 16100 block of Via Este. No damage was reported. John Fernandez of the same address owns the property. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.




4:50 a.m., Angels Camp A flue fire was reported on the 600 block of Stanislaus Avenue. Angels Camp Fire Department, CDF, Altaville-Melones Fire Protection District, San Andreas Fire Protection District and Murphys Fire Protection District responded.

10:15 a.m., San Andreas area A flue fire was reported on the 2500 block of Hogan Court. Kathleen Bakerienk of the same address owns the property. No damage was reported. CDF, Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District, Foothill Fire Protection District and San Andreas Fire Protection District responded.
