7:47 a.m., Jamestown A man said his truck, parked on the 18500 block of Jamestown Road, was broken into and several items were missing.

8:08 p.m., Lambert Lake Estates A woman on the 13000 block of Joshua Way said a wedding ring set was stolen from her house.

9:11 a.m., Jamestown A man said a tan pickup was parked illegally on his property overnight.

10:58 a.m., Soulsbyville area A woman said two men were fighting near Highway 108 and North Sunshine Road. One man in a black pickup allegedly tried to run over another man sitting alongside the road. A deputy was unable to find the men.

12:43 p.m., Columbia A Columbia State Historic Park employee said a man was parked in a lot on the corner of Jackson Street and Columbia Street with three dogs, and asked for a deputy to help with the man, who, the caller said, might have been violent.

1:39 p.m., Crystal Falls A man said when he was at a mini mart on Longeway Road, a teenage boy threw a rock at his car, then ran up to the man, punched him on the left side of his face and ran away.

1:53 p.m., Tuolumne A man on the 20000 block of Fish Hatchery Road said his neighbor slammed a gate on the man's vehicle.

2:14 p.m., East Sonora A man said an antique American Indian basket valued at $600 was stolen from his locked vehicle parked on the 13800 block of Mono Way.

6:04 p.m., Jamestown area A man said a house on the 19100 block of Golden Dove Lane was broken into and a video game controller and video games were stolen.

9:55 p.m., Phoenix Lake area A woman said a blue Chevrolet Impala was parked on Phoenix Lake Road near Ridgewood Road for two hours and she thought it was suspicious.

10:34 p.m., Tuolumne area A 2001 blue Chevrolet Cavalier, license plate number 4LRF844, was stolen from a house on Yosemite Road.


1:21 a.m., Jamestown A patrol sergeant found a man staggering down Seventh Street, bleeding from wounds to his face and arms. The man was taken to the hospital and the case is under investigation.

Felony bookings


4:53 a.m., Sonora Clark Alexander Horton, 19, undisclosed address on Fairview Lane, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a deadly weapon and a controlled narcotic substance and misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana after an arrest on the 400 block of South Washington Street.

According to a Sonora police report, an officer saw a man, later identified as Horton, near the Tuolumne County Probation Department. When the man was questioned and searched, the officer reported finding a small quantity of marijuana, 12 narcotic pills in Horton's pants and an 8-inch knife in his backpack.

Horton remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

8:40 p.m., Soulsbyville Yaeko C. Payne, 21, 22700 block of Twain Harte Drive, Twain Harte, booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on Highway 108 at Soulsbyville Road.

According to a sheriff's report, a deputy stopped a car Payne was driving for having an expired license plate and a broken tail light. When the deputy asked for Payne's license, he discovered she only had a California identification card. A dispatcher said Payne was on probation for a previous drug conviction.

The deputy searched the car and reported finding methamphetamine in a makeup bag and a methamphetamine pipe on the floorboard.

Payne was released after posting $5,000 bail.

9:57 p.m., Jamestown Daniel Joseph Bunch, 19, 1000 block of Seventh Street, Jamestown, booked on a warrant charging him with concealing or aiding a felon and possession of a deadly weapon after an arrest on Ninth Avenue, Jamestown.

No details were available. He remained held this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Sonora police reports


7:47 a.m., controlled substances A caller said four teens were smoking marijuana at a bus stop near Highway 49 and North Washington Street.

8:06 a.m., found property A man's wallet was found at a skatepark on Greenley Road.

8:42 a.m., traffic violations A 23-year-old woman was cited and released for driving with a suspended drivers license and her car towed away after an officer stopped the driver on Highway 108 in the city limits.

9:26 a.m., theft A woman said a laptop computer was stolen over the weekend from the 80 block of South Stewart Street.

2:34 p.m., suspicious circumstances A man who started to walk toward a car parked on Stockton Road, ran away when he saw the officer. The officer was unable to find the man.

7:29 a.m., Copperopolis Washers, dryers and engine parts were dumped on a property on the 900 block of Reeds Turnpike.

8:05 a.m., Valley Springs A deputy found a stolen vehicle in the Oak Ridge Estates.

8:28 a.m., Camanche The East Bay Municipal Utilities District sent out a pontoon boat to rescue three people stranded in a boat on Lake Camanche. The stranded boaters had called the Coast Guard, which called the sheriff's department, which called its Camanche deputy, who called the utilities district.

8:51 a.m., Valley Springs A woman on the 2000 block of Heney Lane said her grandson brought home a rattlesnake in a cooler. She was afraid to move it and the grandson had left.

3:57 p.m., San Andreas A student allegedly stole something from Goldstrike High School's cosmetology classroom.



1 a.m., Mokelumne Hill A fire was reported on the deck of the Hotel Leger on the 8300 block of Main Street. The fire was caused by a discarded cigarette. Damage was estimated at $500. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District responded.
