Big band sound

Sonora High School's Golden Regiment Band spent the past week gearing up for tonight's home opener football game. Under the leadership of Pat Sieben, more than 270 students are part of the award-winning band this year. A three-hour night practice gave the band, which is divided into segments during classes each day, the opportunity to practice as a group. It also provided freshmen with their first opportunity to play as part of the entire band. Tonight's varsity football game against Johansen of Modesto begins at 7:15 at Dunlavy Field.
