Sheriff's reports


8:31 a.m., Jamestown A video game system and games valued at $370 were stolen from a house on the 19000 block of Rawhide Road.

10:11 a.m., Standard area The owner of a business park on Camage Avenue said several business owners reported acts of vandalism over the weekend.

11 a.m., Tuolumne A woman said trespassers were living in a house on the 18500 block of Cedar Street. When the woman returned home after being gone a week, the door locks were changed and other people were living there.

2:04 p.m., Jamestown A teenage boy said his older brother assaulted him at a house on the 17000 block of Black Bart Drive.

3:23 p.m., Don Pedro Reservoir A Sonora Community Hospital emergency room employee said an 18-year-old was in the hospital for treatment because of a wakeboarding accident earlier in the day.

3:39 p.m., Cherry Lake A man said a man who appeared to be in his 20s was firing a .22 caliber rifle in the Cherry Lake Campground and shot a crow.

4:26 p.m., Twain Harte A woman on the 22000 block of Confidence Road said her propane tank had been shot with a BB gun.

4:38 p.m., Tuolumne A man on the 18000 block of Ponderosa Way said a neighbor is building a small canal diverting water into the caller's property.

4:39 p.m., Jamestown The owner of the Smoke Cafe on Main Street said a chubby man wearing a gray shirt ordered and ate food at the restaurant but left without paying.

5:27 p.m., Sonora A woman came into a courtroom on North Washington Street and threatened a woman also in court a violation of a restraining order.

8:09 p.m., Jamestown A woman said her daughter and a friend, both 11 years old, were assaulted by two 12-year-old girls at Jamestown School.

10:26 p.m., Groveland A man detained an 18-year-old man after finding him and his friends smoking marijuana and drinking whiskey in back of an apartment building on the 19600 block of Elder Lane.

11:07 p.m., Tuolumne A Black Oak Casino security officer said he called a cab for a drunken woman but the woman refused to leave the casino.

3:34 a.m., Strawberry A 49-year-old Strawberry man was booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery after an arrest at his home. He was released after posting $35,000 bail.



3:45 p.m., Sonora A vehicle fire was reported on the 100 block of South Green Street. Cause, owner and dollar damage were undetermined. Sonora City Fire Department responded.

8:10 a.m., traffic accident A woman said a vehicle rolled into another vehicle parked in a lot on South Stewart Street. The driver of the rolling car left without filing a report or leaving a note.

11:38 a.m., traffic accident A caller said a parked vehicle rolled into another parked vehicle on North Green Street.

12:18 p.m., lost property A woman who left her purse in a shopping cart in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center went back to find it, but the purse was gone.

8:03 p.m., animal complaints A woman came to the police station and wanted to know who was setting and watching cat traps at a park.

9:14 a.m., Murphys A house on the 500 block of Highway 4 was vandalized.

9:19 a.m., Arnold A mailbox on the 1900 block of Jeannie Drive was vandalized.

12:05 p.m., San Andreas A caller on the 200 block of Monte Vista complained about a neighbor who continually climbs over a fence and walks across the caller's property.

12:27 p.m., Valley Springs A 5-gallon propane tank was reported stolen from a motorhome.

12:47 p.m., Mokelumne Hill American flags were stolen from a woman's grave at Protestant Cemetery.

6:25 p.m., Arnold A caller on the 3000 block of Gold Hill Circle said someone broke into a garage and stole a motor scooter.


12:20 a.m., Arnold A man and a woman were arguing inside a house on the 1000 block of Fourth Street when the man went outside, got an ax, entered the house and started chopping up furniture. The man was arrested.

2:16 a.m., Valley Springs Three or four juveniles ran out of a minimart with a 12-pack of Mexican beer. They fled east on Highway 12 in a white, four-door vehicle.

3:35 a.m., undisclosed location Jeanette Lee Kletzien, 52, of Folsom, booked into Calaveras County Jail on an Amador County warrant charging her with possessing a controlled substance. She was transferred to Amador County after booking.
