8:55 a.m., Jamestown A man said money from the cash register at The Willow on Main Street was stolen.

8:58 a.m., Standard area A Helping Hands business truck parked on the 15000 block of Jenness Road was vandalized. The vandals put fingernail polish on the windows, and soap, black ink and eggs on the body.

10:26 a.m., Wards Ferry area A caller said while she was riding a bicycle on Murphy Road, a red car seemed to be following her.

11:52 a.m., Quail Hollow A woman on the 12000 block of Chukar Circle said she hasn't seen or heard from her husband for more than a year and wants to report him as missing.

12:53 p.m., Strawberry A Stanislaus Forest Service employee said a man was at employee barracks on Forest Road 4N13 and refused to leave when asked.

1:28 p.m., Big Hill area A man on the 11000 block of Camilla Way said a shed was burglarized and a generator, television, microwave and propane tanks were stolen.

1:39 p.m., Twain Harte A man on the 22000 block of Tuolumne Road North said a necklace was stolen from his house.

2:46 p.m., Crystal Falls A woman on the 21900 block of Fallview Drive said a small motorized scooter, valued at $1,000, was stolen from the garage.

3:55 p.m., Pinecrest A man said while he and six other people were hiking, a woman in their party got separated. She was found safe at the trailhead about 7:30 Monday night.

4:37 p.m., Groveland A man said a motorcycle driver rammed his truck intentionally while the two were on Tannahill Drive at Mueller Drive.

5:40 p.m., Columbia area A woman said her vehicle parked on Red Clay Road was burglarized.

6:41 p.m., Jamestown A caller on the 10200 block of Preston Lane said teens were shooting off fireworks in the area.

7:19 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 10200 block of Preston Lane said her son was assaulted by two other boys who kicked him and hit him in the head.

8:29 p.m., Twain Harte A caller said a man was racing around on a small motorcycle in the playground at Twain Harte Elementary School on Manzanita Drive.

8:37 p.m., Crystal Falls A man on the 21600 block of Crestview Drive was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after a caller said he was pulling phone lines out of the wall and breaking things.

10:36 p.m., Jamestown area A man said there was something dead in a trap near a turnout on Jacksonville Road about 40 feet over the side.

11:42 p.m., Cold Springs area A Fraser Flat Campground host said 10 campers from the Tracy area were asked to quiet down and they refused.

3:41 a.m., Jamestown Mike Ruiz Meza, 25, 18100 block of Seventh Avenue, Jamestown, and George Meza, 30, 12800 block of Chukar Circle, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after a traffic stop and arrest on Highway 108 at Wigwam Road, Jamestown.

Both were released on their own recognizance yesterday.


1:40 a.m., Sonora Shannon Michael Jones, 29, 12800 block of Chukar Circle, Sonora, booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest at his home.

According to a sheriff's department report, a burglary alarm was set off at 11:56 p.m. at The Junction Fuel Depot on the 13800 block of Mono Way. The store owner said Jones had worked for him for three days and had a key to the business, but the owner had fired him because of a discrepancy in the cash register receipts. A man driving a car matching the description of Jones' car was seen on the stores video surveillance tapes entering the store after hours. Deputies arrested Jones at his house.

He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.



5:15 p.m., Jacksonville area A small spot fire was reported on the 14200 block of Lulu Mine Road. No dollar damage was reported. Chris Slater of the same address owns the property. CDF, Tuolumne County Fire Department, three crews from Baseline Conservation Camp, one air attack plane and one helicopter from Columbia Air Base responded.

Sonora police reports


9:09 a.m., animal complaints A caller said three dogs were left inside a car on the 2000 block of Sanguinetti Road for about 40 minutes. When a man and woman came back to the car, the caller said something to them about the dogs and the couple yelled profanities at the caller and drove off.

10:23 a.m., animal complaints A dog was left inside a brown car while the owner went into a restaurant on the 800 block of Mono Way.

10:57 a.m., traffic accidents Drivers exchanged names and insurance information after a traffic accident on South Washington Street.

7:59 p.m., domestic violence An officer investigated a report of a woman who was drinking at the Mother Lode Fair and hurt her child.


12:03 a.m., suspicious circumstances A caller said fireworks may have been set off in the Fairview Lane area.

12:33 a.m., disorderly conduct A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness on the 80 block of Linoberg Street after officers went there because of a call about a dozen people fighting in the street.

7:20 a.m., found property A set of keys was found on Southgate Drive.

8:50 a.m., hazardous situation A red pickup rolled out of a parking place on Hospital Road and into the road.

9:33 a.m., vehicle theft A woman said her car was stolen. She last saw it Sunday parked on the 10 block of Columbia Way.

10:53 a.m., theft A pig jar with money inside it was stolen from the counter of a Corner Gas on Mono Way.

11:34 a.m., vandalism A vehicle parked at Sonora Crossroads shopping center was damaged.

1:46 p.m., traffic accidents A man said while his vehicle was parked at the South Washington Street post office, it was hit by the driver of a motor home, who left a note.

5:46 p.m., suspicious circumstances A caller who found a duffel bag and various personal items said someone is sleeping behind the Tuolumne County Visitors' Bureau on Stockton Road.

7:16 p.m., disorderly conduct A man and a woman were screaming at each other while walking up and down Barretta Street.

10:25 p.m., animal complaints A caller on the 800 block of Shaws Flat Road said four dogs attacked his dog while it was tied up.

11:43 p.m., suspicious circumstances A man wearing a black hat was punching signs and making a lot of noise on the 200 block of Hospital Road.

9:19 a.m., Murphys A woman on the 100 block of Big Trees Road reported that computers and servers at a business had been knocked to the floor. There was no forced entry.

10:06 a.m., Arnold A woman on the 1700 block of Patricia Lane said someone dumped three truckloads of pine needles on her driveway, blocking access to her house.

11:13 a.m., Arnold A woman on the 3000 block of Venado said someone else might be using her credit card.

2:05 p.m., Angels Camp Jennifer Jolene Carson, 27, 14000 block of Willowcreek Road, Ione, booked on suspicion of first-degree robbery and second-degree burglary after arrest on Highway 49 and Meecham Ranch Road. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $100,000 bail.

9 p.m., Angels Camp Ivan Lee Duncan, 52, 300 block of West Chincapin, Westville, Okla., booked on suspicion of possessing, manufacturing and selling a dangerous weapon after arrest on North Main Street. He has been released.

9:55 p.m., Valley Springs David J. Rosa, 35, 4200 block of Buena Road, Ione, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, selling marijuana and resisting an officer after arrest at Highway 12 and Lime Creek Road. He remained in custody this morning with bail set at $55,000 bail.


Cited for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

Diane Leslie White, 34, 2000 block of Grouse Road, Valley Springs, booked at 12:55 a.m. yesterday after arrest at Vista Del Lago and Greenbriar Road in Valley Springs. She has since released.



Noon, Valley Springs A 189-acre grass fire was reported on Highway 26 near Double Springs Road. Cause is unknown. Landowner is undetermined. Damage was estimated at $38,000. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, San Andreas Fire Protection District, Foothill Fire Protection District, Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District, two crews from Baseline Conservation Camp, one air attack plane, two air tankers and one helicopter from Columbia Air Base responded.

5:20 p.m., Campo Seco area A 10-acre grass and brush fire was reported on the 5500 block of Chili Camp Road. The fire was started by a vehicle in the grass. Landowner is undetermined. Damage was estimated at $5,000 to a pump house and $25,000 to a 2003 Chevrolet Camaro. CDF, Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District, San Andreas Fire Protection District, Foothill Fire Protection District, one air attack and two air tankers from Columbia Air Base responded.


6:50 p.m., Railroad Flat area A spot fire was reported on the 1600 block of Wells Fargo Road. The fire was caused by illegal debris burning. No dollar damage was reported. Felix Tobronio of San Francisco owns the land. CDF responded.
