Calaveras County supervisors are holding a contest to see who can submit the best photograph to be the cover of this year's county budget.

All county residents and organizations can mail or hand deliver entries to the Auditor-Controller Office, Calaveras County Government Center, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas. Entries are due Aug. 31.

Last year's winning photo was an ore cart submitted by the Chamber of Commerce. The ore cart photo was chosen for its depiction of the county's gold mining history.
