8:51 a.m., Mono Village A man said a Strictly Laminate Floors work truck was vandalized Friday, June 27.

10:12 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village A man on the 20800 block of Hiki Place said pine needles, tree limbs and branches were dumped on his property.

10:18 a.m., Jamestown A woman on the 18000 block of Seco Street said she found a gun holster on her property.

11:52 a.m., Columbia A man said he and another man who lives at a motel on the 22600 block of Parrotts Ferry Road were involved in a fight. Each man claimed the other man started hitting first.

1:53 p.m., Crystal Falls A woman on the 17000 block of Nile River Drive said a teenager was harassing her and her family.

2:43 p.m., Groveland area A woman on Ofelia Court said a suspicious-looking man who didn't speak English was on her property. Deputies from both Tuolumne and Mariposa counties went to investigate.

3:21 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village A woman said she was grabbed from her car and yelled at by a slender man driving a white pickup. According to a sheriff's department report, the woman said she was driving on Lama Road behind the slower-moving truck. When she passed the truck, the driver followed her. When she stopped, he got out of the truck, grabbed her by her arm and pulled her out of the car and yelled " and that car are going to die." The man left when she said she was going to call the sheriff's department.

4:46 p.m., Tulloch Reservoir Three people, a woman and two boys, were injured when two personal watercraft collided near South Lake Tulloch Campground. Sgt. Scott Johnson said a 15-year-old boy and an 11-year-old boy were on a watercraft near shore when they collided with a woman on another watercraft. All three were taken to hospitals with injuries. The accident is under investigation.

4:46 p.m., Phoenix Lake area A Tuolumne General Hospital employee said a man came into the emergency room saying he had been assaulted by another man.

5:09 p.m., Jamestown area A caller said numerous items had been stolen from a house construction site on the 12000 block of Green Springs Road.

7:09 p.m., Twain Harte A woman on the 18200 block of Fireside Drive said a teenage boy was sitting behind a tree wearing ripped clothing and missing one shoe.

7:10 p.m., Tulloch Reservoir A 17-year-old girl was taken to Tuolumne General Hospital and then to the probation department after she was pulled from the water. A sheriff's report said the girl was intoxicated and in danger of drowning.

7:38 p.m., New Melones Reservoir area A Bureau of Reclamation ranger said that on Sunday, a naked man was in a men's bathroom at the lake visitor center. The ranger said the man then climbed on top of the women's bathroom and looked in the windows.

7:57 p.m., Jamestown A Tuolumne General Hospital employee said a man was in the emergency room for treatment after his bicycle was stolen and he was assaulted.

8:18 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 8000 block of French Flat Road said a man continually rides a dirt bike on her property and refuses to stay away.

10:02 p.m., Columbia A caller on the 11200 block of Columbia Village Drive said a group of teenagers were causing a disturbance in an apartment complex and sitting in plants.

11:13 p.m., Jamestown A caller heard about 100 firecrackers and two gunshots going off somewhere on Maple Alley.

10:40 p.m., Standard area A caller on the 17000 block of Blue Bell East said a neighbor just destroyed the caller's truck with a baseball bat and was making threats.

11:19 p.m., East Sonora A clerk at Flyers on the 13700 block of Mono Way said a woman took a box of shorts from a display in front of the store, then she got into a light-colored truck and drove away.

Felony bookings


12:21 a.m., Groveland Jason Mitchell Corder, 19, 14400 block of Tuolumne Road, Sonora, and Keum Lynn Barnes, 18, of the 20400 block of Soulsbyville Road, Soulsbyville, both booked on warrants charging them with burglary after an arrest at Boitano and Ferretti roads. Corder was also held on a probation violation. He remained held in lieu of $30,000 bail. Barnes was held in lieu of $10,000 bail this morning.

Joseph Antone Francis, 31, 17200 block of Margaret Drive, Jamestown, booked at 2:25 a.m. yesterday after arrest on the 400 block of Greenley Road, Sonora.



7 p.m., Phoenix Lake area An illegal debris burn was reported escaping on the 15500 block of Buena Vista Avenida. The tenant is Margo Erickson of the same address. No dollar damage was reported. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.


1:15 p.m., Mi-Wuk A vehicle fire was reported in front of the Mi-Wuk-Sugar Pine Fire Protection District on Highway 108. The fire was caused by an electrical short in a 1993 Ford pickup. No dollar damage was reported. Tom Beery of the Mi-Wuk area owns the truck. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Mi-Wuk-Sugar Pine Fire Protection District responded.

5:20 p.m., Arastraville A small spot fire was reported at an undisclosed address on Tuolumne Road North. No dollar damage was reported. The fire was caused by vehicle exhaust. Tuolumne County Road Department owns the land. CDF, Tuolumne Fire Protection District, Tuolumne County Fire Department and the U.S. Forest Service responded.

8:15 p.m., Sonora Meadows area A man was cited for burning a pile with improper clearance on the 16500 block of Creekside Drive. Jack Boyd of the same address owns the property. No dollar damage was reported. CDF and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

6:31 p.m., theft A woman was detained on suspicion of shoplifting from Pak-N-Save, but the store did not want to press charges.

9:15 a.m., child safety A caller said three young children, ages 18 months, 2 and 3 years old, were playing unattended on West Bradford Street. The caller was concerned for their safety when they wandered to Norlin Street. An officer spoke with the children's parents.

9:31 a.m., parking Vehicles were parked illegally on the 10 block of South Stewart Street.

9:49 a.m., animal complaints A caller said an older Irish setter dog keeps wandering loose on Columbia Way, sometimes running onto Highway 49. The owner was given a verbal warning.

12:27 p.m., vandalism A driver said a stop sign at William and Washington streets was broken.

12:33 p.m., animal complaints A caller said a dog was left unattended in a vehicle parked on the 40 block of South Forest Road. The dog's owner was given a verbal warning.

2:30 p.m., public fight A man was throwing glass at a group of people inside Denny's Restaurant on Mono Way. The man's parents called the police department and brought their son in. An officer determined it was a civil problem.

4:27 p.m., traffic accident No one was injured in an accident on Sanguinetti Road.

5:26 p.m., robbery A boy said a group of boys on Greenley Road assaulted him and stole $5.

5:37 p.m., theft A "no parking" sign was stolen from the 200 block of Mono Way.

9:49 p.m., suspicious circumstances A group of teens in two pickups were partying in the parking lot at Sonora Crossroads shopping center.
