10:09 a.m., Twain Harte A caller said two men were sitting in front of a vacant house on Greenview Drive. The men were earlier seen driving a brown vehicle going in and out of driveways.

10:36 a.m., Don Pedro A woman said her neighbor on the 14000 block of Potreo Way has a train whistle he sets off every 10 to 15 minutes.

11:10 a.m., Kennedy Meadows area A man said a saddle was stolen from a barn at Kennedy Meadows Resort last weekend.

11:28 a.m., Lime Kiln Road area A woman found a yellow bicycle on Eslavida Drive and turned it over to the sheriff's department.

11:39 a.m., Groveland A woman said she saw a man she described as unshaven, missing some teeth and holding a rifle, sitting in a pickup stopped in the middle of Second Garrotte Road near Merrell Road.

12:07 p.m., Big Hill A Tuolumne Utilities District employee said a scanner, fire extinguisher, phone and test kit were stolen from a water-treatment plant building on Northridge Road.

1:11 p.m., Columbia A caller said six men were drinking alcohol in public near the old post office in Columbia State Historic Park.

1:34 p.m., Columbia A man on the 22000 block of Airport Road South said a safe containing cash and a camera were stolen from his closet.

3:30 p.m., Tuolumne A woman on the 18000 block of Madrone Street said a neighbor was firing a BB gun into the woman's backyard near her grandchild.

3:45 p.m., Pinecrest A man said a pack with his wallet, credit cards and car keys was stolen from a cabin on the 100 block of Dodge Ridge Road.

4:03 p.m., Jamestown A caller said a man and a woman were fighting on Seco Street and a child was screaming in the background.

6:27 p.m., Groveland A caller said a man and a woman were fighting in the nurses' cabin at Camp Mather.

6:41 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 17800 block of Harvard Mine Road said her unlocked car was vandalized. The visors, dome light and door were broken.

7:12 p.m., Jamestown A 42-year-old woman on the 10000 block of Seventh Street was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant after a deputy went to the house after a neighbor complained the woman was screaming and yelling at her.

7:55 p.m., Twain Harte A woman said three people near water towers on Confidence Road were making a lot of noise, using profanities.

8:16 p.m., Phoenix Lake area A man said three young men were at a house on El Coyote Drive trying to get in. When the man asked them what they were doing, they left on foot toward the Phoenix Lake golf course.

9:29 p.m., Tuolumne area A caller said five or six people who appeared to be drunk were throwing and breaking beer bottles at Basin Creek on Cottonwood Road.

11:02 a.m., Jamestown A caller said a woman was screaming and attempting to break into Living Waters Church on the 10400 block of Ninth Street.

11:27 p.m., Columbia A caller said there was water running, people yelling and loud noises coming from a motel room on the 22600 block of Broadway Street. The caller said it sounded like the ceiling was coming down.


2:43 a.m., Jamestown A clerk at a convenience store on the 18300 block of Highway 108 said a possibly drunk man was sitting inside a green car.

Sonora police reports


8:11 a.m., found property Two cell phones, a credit card and checkbook were found at Save Mart on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

3:51 p.m., hazardous situation A citizen flagged down an officer because a vehicle parked on South Stewart Street was obstructing traffic.

4:05 p.m., citizen assist A woman came to the police department because she could not find her car.

5:23 p.m., warrant arrest A 58-year-old man was arrested on an El Dorado County misdemeanor warrant after a caller said an intoxicated man was in front of a business on South Stewart Street.

5:51 p.m., burglary A woman said her car parked on Snell Street was burglarized.

9:07 p.m., public intoxication A 28-year-old man was booked on suspicion of public intoxication after an arrest on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road.

10:16 p.m., suspicious circumstances The occupants of a green car were told to leave Heaven For Kids Park on Greenley Road because they were there after the park closed for the day.


2:30 a.m., traffic accident The driver of an SUV backed out of apartments on South Stewart Street and into a vehicle parked across the street. The driver did not stop after the accident.

3:19 a.m., juvenile activity A janitor at Signature Stadium 10 movie theater said a he found a boy inside the theater who was asleep. An officer talked to the boy who said he fell asleep watching a movie and then got locked inside. The boy was cited for curfew violation and released to his parents .



2 p.m., Sonora A small spot fire was reported at Sonora Sports and Fitness on the 13700 block of Mono Way. The fire was caused by a discarded cigarette, which ignited some mulch. Tim Gallagher of Sonora owns the property. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Tuolumne County Fire Department, U.S. Forest Service, Sonora City Fire Department, and one air tanker and air attack from Columbia Air Base responded.


2 p.m., Mono Village area A small spot fire was reported on the 19200 block of Sunny Circle. The fire was caused by a weed eater. No dollar damage was reported. The landowner is undetermined. Tuolumne County Fire Department, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and the U.S. Forest Service responded.

5:57 a.m., San Andreas A caller said a woman took two packs of cigarettes and a cup of coffee from a store on the 400 block of West St. Charles Street. The woman said she was a rape victim and that the county would pick up the tab.

9:38 a.m., Campo Seco Undisclosed items were stolen from a construction site on the 4600 block of Buckboard Road.

11:25 a.m., Angels Camp A gate on the 5600 block of Esmerelda Road was vandalized.

7:51 p.m., Rail Road Flat A caller said a neighbor was riding a motorcycle like "Evil Knievel" at Jefferson Davis Reservoir.

11:10 a.m., Valley Springs People reported missing from an outing on New Hogan Reservoir returned just as a deputy arrived to try to find them.

Felony bookings


4:55 p.m., San Andreas A 19-year-old San Andreas man was booked on suspicion of felony battery and misdemeanor obstructing justice and disorderly conduct after an arrest at his home. No details were available. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $55,000 bail.
