12:20 p.m., Western Tuolumne County A man said his vehicle broke down on Highway 108 on Saturday night. When he returned Sunday to retrieve it, he discovered the vehicle had been burglarized. Tires and wheels were stolen and the ignition switch and a window were broken. He estimated the damage at $2,000.

2:08 p.m., Tuolumne A woman said a vehicle was over the embankment on Buchanan Road near Canyon Drive. A dispatcher told the caller that the vehicle plus others have been tagged for removal by the county's vehicle abatement program.

2:38 p.m., Soulsbyville A man said people in a gray SUV dropped off a bundle which he suspected was a dead dog on Mono Vista near Allison Way.

3:09 p.m., Jamestown Two inner tubes, valued at $125 each, were stolen from Tulloch Reservoir shoreline near Kistler Ranch Cove.

3:55 p.m., Jamestown area An employee at Bev's Boat Rental on the 14400 block of Tulloch Dam Road said no one was injured in a boating accident involving a rental personal water craft.

4:53 p.m., Tulloch Reservoir A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness and being a minor possessing alcoholic beverages.

5:51 p.m., Tuolumne A Tuolumne Market employee said a 45- to 50-year-old man was in front of the store begging for money, causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.

6:18 p.m., Jamestown A 34-year-old man was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor theft after an employee at Chip's Chevron on the 18100 block of Highway 108 said he took two large bottles of alcohol from the store.

6:42 p.m., Crystal Falls A man on Evergreen Way said his neighbor's van was shot with a paint ball.

8:43 p.m., Jamestown A man on the 10500 block of Seventh Street said a window on his vehicle was broken.

9:14 p.m., Jamestown A man said he could hear two men yelling, threatening a woman in a field near Donovan and Main streets.

9:26 p.m., Tuolumne A caller on the 18000 block of Hershey Road said a man pushed and was shooting a BB gun at a 14-year-old boy.

11:03 p.m., Tuolumne A man on Pine Street said he saw the flash from a gun being shot out of a dark-colored vehicle on Tuolumne Road.

Felony bookings


9:20 p.m., Sonora Heather Marie Clay, 18, 15800 block of Parkridge Avenue, Sonora, booked on suspicion of burglary and receiving stolen property after an arrest at Mervyn's by Sonora police. She remained held this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.


3:03 a.m., Groveland Timothy Alan Hastings, 23, no address, Twain Harte, and Jo Ellyn Engman, 36, 11800 block of Mountain Springs Court, Groveland, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after an arrest on Powerline and Merrell roads. Hastings was also booked on a state parole hold. No details were available.

Hastings remained held this morning without bail. Engman was released after posting $10,000 bail.

9:50 p.m., Jamestown Travis Lee Pfeiffer, 34, 700 block of Orchard Avenue, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and using another person's credit card after arrest on Main Street, Jamestown. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

11 p.m., Lyons Lake area James Anthony Betti, 40, 29800 block of Lone Tree Road, Escalon, booked on suspicion of threatening a peace officer with a weapon after an arrest on Lyons Dam Road.

According to a sheriff's report, Betti was lying underneath his car on Lyons Dam Road. When a deputy arrived, Betti reportedly threatened the deputy.

He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.


12:04 a.m., Sonora Michael Jacobson, 24, 23300 block of Rancho Castanaya, Columbia, booked on suspicion of attempting to remove a firearm from a peace officer, deterring a peace officer and misdemeanor fighting in public and battery on a peace officer after an arrest on the 100 block of South Washington Street, Sonora.

A Sonora police officer was flagged down while driving past The Office Bar by several people on the street who said there was fight inside the bar.

Officer Chris Weber found five or six men fighting. He pulled one man, Jacobson, out of the bar and told him to sit down on the sidewalk. Jacobson refused and started wrestling with Weber and threatening him.

Sgt. Dave Bird arrived to help and reported finding 50 to 60 people milling around the bar and going into the street. Bird tried to help Weber by spraying pepper spray at Jacobson. While the two officers were wrestling with Jacobson, he reportedly tried to take Weber's gun from the holster and threatened to "kill" the officers.

Jacobson was handcuffed and loaded him into a patrol car, where he reportedly broke a window with his head.

The Office bartender closed the bar for the evening and the crowd dispersed.

Jacobson was released Monday after posting $10,000 bail.

12:48 a.m., Groveland Patricia Ann Hall, 46, 11900 block of Deer Bush Court, Groveland, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and possessing less than an ounce of marijuana, a misdemeanor, after arrest on Mueller Drive and Ferretti Road, Groveland.

According to a sheriff's report, Hall was stopped by a deputy because the car she was driving did not have a valid license plate. She consented to a search of the car and a deputy reportedly found four small plastic bags with marijuana and two with methamphetamine.

She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

2:51 p.m., assist A Sonora police officer assisted with directing traffic at a vehicle fire on Saratoga Road.

6:39 p.m., found property A caller said two boys found a hypodermic needle on a wall near their back yard. No location was given.

8:05 p.m., vandalism A caller saw a young boy cut a hole in a large, gray tarp at Mother Lode Fairgrounds and crawl underneath it.

10:39 p.m., animal complaints A caller on Highway 49 said a fox was trying to get into her home.

12:42 p.m., Valley Springs A woman who had moved to Lodi said a man whom she has a restraining order against got out of jail, went to her residence on the 3300 block of Hartvickson Lane and sold all her belongings in a garage sale.

2:12 p.m., Copperopolis A woman on the 600 block of Cattle Drive said her boyfriend jumped on top of her new car and dented it because he was angry at her son.

3:53 p.m., West Point The owner of a house on the 2100 block of Lily Valley Circle said someone forced open a sliding glass door, stole a television set and other items and trashed the house over the past week.

4:02 p.m., Arnold Someone on the 1200 block of Shady Circle complained that "a pedophile goes to the bathroom outside," kids go around "putting dog (droppings) on porches" and someone else puts glass in the road "so people can't drive by their house."

4:33 p.m., Burson A caller on the 3500 block of Highway 12 said someone threw rocks through the window.

5:36 p.m., Murphys A man on the 4400 block of Pennsylvania Gulch Road said someone broke into his motorhome and stole firearms.

8:23 p.m., Valley Springs A man on the 2100 block of Highway 26 said a husband and wife had been fighting all day. He said they also came into his house without permission and were fighting there.

9:37 p.m., Valley Springs A woman on the 6000 block of Garner Place said her mailbox was vandalized.

10:57 p.m., San Andreas Two men ran out of the Harris Food Mart with an 18-pack of beer.


9:04 a.m., Copperopolis A caller said items were stolen from a car parked at Copperopolis Post Office.

1:21 p.m., Burson A caller on the 11000 block of Flintstone Way said a man he did not recognize was knocking on his door.

3:01 p.m., West Point A caller said a man was on the side of Skull Flat Road working on his vehicle, talking to himself and acting strangely.

4:38 p.m., Arnold A caller on the 1300 block of Shady Circle said a neighbor was in his front yard yelling at the caller's children, calling them "white trash."

Felony bookings


9:25 a.m., Avery A 32-year-old Avery woman booked on suspicion of felony battery on her boyfriend and assault with a deadly weapon after arrest at the woman's home.

According to a sheriff's report, a deputy was called to the home because a neighbor said the couple was fighting. The deputy determined the woman hit her boyfriend with a wooden paddle and tried to stab him with a kitchen knife.

She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $90,000 bail.

Her boyfriend, whose name cannot be released because he is considered a victim, was also arrested on a San Joaquin County warrant charging him with domestic violence.

4:05 p.m., Lake Camanche Tony James Christiano, 30, 7400 block of Kelly Drive, Stockton, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license after an arrest at Arrowhead Campground at Lake Camanche. He was released after posting $23,000 bail.


6:55 p.m., Lake Camanche Vincent Charles Schroven, 19, 6900 block of Nichols Road, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale, possessing marijuana for sale and transporting a controlled substance after arrest at the front gate to Lake Camanche.

A sheriff's report said two deputies talked with Schroven at the front gate and discovered a large, but undisclosed, amount of cocaine valued at $2,000 and some cash.

Schroven remained in custody this morning in lieu of $140,000 bail.

Bruce Lee Hughey, 44, 2300 block of Morgan Territory Road, Clayton, booked at 11:08 p.m. Friday after arrest on Hunt Road north of Highway 4.

Bryan Dennis Seibold, 24, 2000 block of Esther Drive, Modesto, booked at 1:25 p.m. Friday after arrest on Highway 4, Arnold.

Dean Alyn Vincent, 20, 3900 block of 69th Street, Sacramento, booked at 11:42 p.m. Sunday after arrest at an undisclosed location at Lake Camanche.



9:30 p.m., San Andreas area An escaped debris burn was reported on the 1800 block of North Ranchero Road. Damage was estimated at $200 to 1 acre of brush. Landowner was undetermined. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, San Andreas Fire Department and Foothill Fire Protection District responded.


1:30 p.m., Burson area A 50-by-50-foot spot fire was reported on the 8600 block of Highway 26. William Thayler of San Andreas owns the property. No dollar damage was reported. CDF, Jenny Lind Fire Protection District, San Andreas Fire Protection District, Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District and one helicopter from Columbia responded.

6:30 p.m., West Point area A vehicle fire was reported to a 1980 Chevrolet Camaro on Highway 26 at Bald Mountain Road. Anissa Turners of West Point owns the car. Damage was estimated at $1,200 to the engine compartment. Cause of the fire is undetermined. CDF, West Point Fire Protection District and Central Fire Protection District responded.

7:15 p.m., Valley Springs area A small spot fire was reported off Highway 12. No dollar damage was reported. The fire was caused by a boat trailer. Property owner is undetermined. CDF responded.

7:35 p.m., Wallace A small spot fire was reported on Olivera Court near Camanche Parkway off Highway 12. Nemecio Alverez of Stockton owns the land. CDF, Central Fire Protection District and Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection district responded.
