11:39 a.m., Sonora area A caller said a man and a woman in a car going west on Highway 108 from Sonora to Jamestown were beating on each other.

1:26 p.m., Columbia A man on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road said he was assaulted.

2:36 p.m., Lambert Lake area A woman on the 13000 block of Florence Way turned in a rifle and ammunition that belonged to a relative.

2:54 p.m., Columbia A woman said a boy keeps coming to a house where she babysits and harasses her and the child she watches.

4:15 p.m., Tuolumne A man said he lost his wallet about 2 p.m. while at the Tuolumne Post Office.

5:35 p.m., Twain Harte A man on the 23000 block of Middle Camp Road said a DVD player valued at $155 was stolen from his house.

7:03 p.m., East Sonora A shoplifter fled Gottschalks on a bicycle with a stolen pair of shorts. An employee tried to follow the man but couldn't catch him.

7:23 p.m., La Grange area A woman said another woman poured soda on her car while it was parked on the 100 block of Bonds Flat Road.

10:17 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 18000 block of Ninth Avenue said another woman came to her house to complain about the caller's dogs.

10:59 p.m., Jamestown A caller said a tall woman with blond hair and a short man were hanging around stores on Main Street acting suspicious.

11:37 p.m., Jamestown A 34-year-old man was arrested on Seventh Street on suspicion of public drunkenness.


12:01 a.m., Moccasin A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness at Moccasin Point Campground after neighboring campers said he was causing problems.

1:01 a.m., Tuolumne area A man on Buchanan Road said the back window of his car was broken out and a front window cracked while it was parked near Cherry Lake.

1:43 a.m., Groveland A Pine Mountain Lake security officer said the driver of a tan car took a "do not enter" sign and laid it over spikes at the Cottonwood Street entrance to the gated community and drove over it. A deputy located the man at a house on Cresthaven Drive.

7:23 a.m., Jamestown A dark blue pickup was reported stolen from Fifth Avenue.

8:19 a.m., Sierra Village A man was harassing customers at a market and gas station on the 24900 block of Highway 108. The owner said this was an ongoing problem.

8:48 a.m., Jamestown A woman was reported unconscious on Ninth Street and Seve nth Avenue.

9:18 a.m., Jamestown An man believedf drunk was reported walking into traffic on Highway 108 at Fifth Avenue.

10:16 a.m., Jamestown Items were taken from a car on the 10600 block of Wigwam Road.

10:48 a.m., Sierra Village A woman on the 24900 block of Highway 108 said someone put gum on her car, and it removed the paint.

10:56 a.m., Columbia A woman reported two men fighting on Union Hill Road.

11:06 a.m., Crystal Falls A man on the 16800 block of Meadow Lane said a 33-year-old woman had overdosed.

12:45 p.m. Jamestown area A social service worker checking on a woman on the 16100 block of Jacksonville Road said a man living in a trailer behind her house is using her electricity. The woman reportedly wants him to leave, but he will not.

12:48 p.m., Jamestown A Jamestown woman said someone stole the purses of her daughters, ages 16 and 20, from an unlocked vehicle over Memorial Day weekend at Lake Tulloch.

1:08 p.m., Kennedy Meadows A man said his locked vehicle was broken into and items were stolen at the Kennedy Meadows trailhead.

2:07 p.m. Strawberry A woman on the 29600 block of Leland Court said a large-screen TV, a smaller TV, satellite receiver, two VCRs and tapes were stolen.

3:11 a.m., Jamestown A man calling his home on the 8500 block of French Flat Road was surprised when someone answered, because no one was supposed to be there.

4:10 p.m., Cold Springs A man was informed that the door of his cabin had been kicked in.

4:50 p.m., Groveland A woman on the 11400 block of Cherry Lake Road said her purse and cellular phone were stolen from her unlocked car.

5:05 p.m., Jamestown A boat was reportedly sinking near a boat rental business on Tulloch Road. No one was in danger, the report said.

5:54 p.m., Sonora area A woman on Bay Meadow Drive said a young man was riding a motorcycle in a grassy field behind her house and she was afraid he would start a fire.

6:54 p.m., Twain Harte A man said his vacation cabin on the 19500 block of Michigan Drive had been burglarized over the past two or three weeks.

8:21 p.m., Tuolumne Three men were reportedly smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol in a vehicle outside Black Oak Casino.

8:26 p.m., Jamestown A man said five or six children at Jamestown School on Fifth Avenue were tearing down basketball nets, throwing around bicycles and hitting things with a metal rod.

8:37 p.m., Kennedy Meadows A man said his locked car was broken into at the Kennedy Meadows trailhead. A car stereo and personal CD player were stolen and the car's hood-release button was damaged.

9:15 p.m., Tuolumne A man on Hershey Road said a 14-year-old boy threw rocks at his car, breaking out the rear window and damaging the windshield.

9:54 p.m., Sierra Village A woman on the 24900 block of Highway 108 said she let someone stay at her home while she was away and found items missing when she returned.


12:31 a.m., Jamestown area About 10 people reportedly were causing a disturbance in front of a bar on the 14400 block of Highway 108 at O'Byrnes Ferry Road.

12:44 a.m., Tuolumne A woman reported a prowler on the 18100 block of Bodenhammer Avenue.

1:01 a.m., Sonora A fight was reported on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

2:14 a.m., Jamestown A woman on the 17100 block of Chicken Ranch Road said she heard someone try to open her bedroom door.

3:50 a.m., Twain Harte A woman on the 22900 block of Black Hawk Drive said a drunk teenager came to her house and then walked away down the street.

8:06 a.m., East Sonora A woman reported the theft of her purse from her unlocked car in The Junction shopping center.

8:09 a.m., Groveland A woman on Highway 120 said her husband hit her in the chest during an argument.

8:48 a.m., East Sonora A man at a restaurant in the The Junction shopping center said he and his caregiver got into an argument and she hit him in the face.

9:07 a.m., Jamestown A man on the 10400 block of Ninth Street said a CD player was stolen from his vehicle overnight.

9:08 a.m., Jamestown The window of a new car was damaged at Sierra Motors on Highway 108 at Fifth Avenue.

11 a.m., Jamestown A deputy assisted a driver with a flat tire in the westbound lane of Highway 108 west of Chicken Ranch Road. The vehicle was unable to park on the side of the road and was holding up traffic. The deputy followed the car with flashing lights until the car could safely pull off the road.

1:55 p.m., Sonora A man brought a .22-caliber rifle into the sheriff's department for destruction.

1:53 p.m., Don Pedro A father reportedly hit his 16-year-old daughter at the Fleming Meadows Campground.

2:24 p.m., Jamestown A man on Seco Street reportedly was throwing things and pushing a woman.

2:26 p.m., Tuolumne A woman was in custody at the Black Oak Casino for allegedly stealing a wallet.

3:16 p.m., Don Pedro A 12-year-old with a broken ankle, possibly from a boating accident, was reported at the Fleming Meadows Campground.

3:25 p.m., Groveland Two men on Merrell Road reportedly were stripping a vehicle on the side of the road.

3:33 p.m., Jamestown Deputies were asked to check on a woman who was acting strangely and had kicked her husband out of the car on Highway 108 at O'Byrnes Ferry Road.

3:43 p.m., Pinecrest A barn on Highway 108 was broken into. Nothing appeared missing.

4:08 p.m., Jamestown Three teenagers at Jamestown School on Fifth Avenue reportedly were breaking windows, flooding the school and jumping off the roof.

5:01 p.m., East Sonora A man was reported passed out behind a restaurant in The Junction shopping center.

6:21 p.m., Columbia Two people on Parrotts Ferry Road reported an older, thin woman walking toward Columbia, stumbling and acting confused.

6:36 p.m., Groveland A woman on the 12000 block of Breckenridge Road said a wooden wishing-well planter near her driveway was knocked apart.

7:25 p.m., Don Pedro A man on the 14000 block of Cadena Way said his mailbox was filled with macaroni, shaving cream and a dead animal.

7:31 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village A woman on the 24000 block of Paipu Road said her neighbor threatened to hit her car with his because he did not like the way she parked in front of her house.

8:10 p.m., Sierra Village An apparently intoxicated man was parked on Lyons Dam Road, banging on his car trunk and yelling at someone to shut up. The man got back into the vehicle and drove a little further toward the lake, then got out and climbed underneath the car.

8:49 p.m., East Sonora A man on the 20100 block of Highway 108 said he got into an argument with his pregnant girlfriend, who, he said, hit him and said she was going to call the police and say he hit her.

9:28 p.m., Sonora A woman on Mono Way said a refrigerator truck has been parked across the street from her house and running extremely loudly since noon.

9:30 p.m., Tuolumne A woman on Hershey Road said children about 10 to 14 years old were throwing rocks at her car and yelling at her.

9:46 p.m., Jamestown A man with a flashlight was on the hood of a big rig parked on Preston Lane.

9:55 p.m., Sonora area One woman reportedly assaulted another on the 20200 block of Partridge Way.

11:57 pm., Jamestown A pickup was abandoned after crashing into and partially onto a 2,000-gallon propane truck parked on Seventh Avenue. The truck was towed away.


12:12 a.m., New Melones Reservoir Juveniles at the Manzanita Campground on Reynolds Ferry Road were reportedly drinking and playing loud music.

12:42 p.m., Tuolumne A man was reported lying in someone's driveway on Tuolumne Road North.

1:43 a.m., Columbia A man on the 22300 block of Church Lane said a woman was outside screaming.

2:28 a.m., Don Pedro A ranger at the Blue Oaks Campground on Bonds Flat Road said a group of drunken campers refused to quiet down.

9:53 a.m., Pine Mountain Lake Security guards checked on a woman on the 19600 block of Buckskin Court following a 911 call. The woman apparently was gardening with a cell phone in her pocket and was unaware that 911 had been dialed.

10:06 a.m., Sonora A man on Hospital Road said he was assaulted by his wife.

11 a.m., Standard area A woman on the 18400 block of Blue Bell East said a rattlesnake was on her front porch and wouldn't leave.

Felony bookings


7:25 a.m., Tuolumne David William McBride, 50, 200 block of Rector Lane, Modesto, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled narcotic substance and a state parole hold after an arrest on Tuolumne Road and Cemetery Lane. He was also booked on suspicion of possessing a hypodermic needle and drug paraphernalia.

He remained held without bail this morning.

3:33 p.m., Sonora Sheryl Lee Ann Redding, 43, 5100 block of Little John Road, Copperopolis, booked on a warrant charging her with forgery and using another person's identification. She was transferred to the county jail from the Calaveras County Jail, and was released on her own recognizance Friday.

11:42 a.m., fraudulent activity A woman on South Barretta Street said her credit card number was fraudulently used for an Internet purchase.

9:17 p.m., hazardous situation A woman at an apartment complex on the 200 block of Greenley Road said tenants were barbecuing too close to the building and flames were shooting into the air.

5:12 p.m., false alarm A group of motorcyclists leaving a bar on the 100 block of South Washington Street set off a burglar alarm at the business next door.

9:18 p.m., public intoxication A 44-year-old man on South Washington Street was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

11:30 p.m., East Sonora A vehicle fire was reported on the 14100 block of Tuolumne Road. Curtis Crain of San Andreas owns the 1991 Lincoln. Damage was estimated at $2,000 to the dashboard and interior. Cause is undetermined. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

7:27 p.m., Valley Springs A caller said a man was harassing Mar-Val employees and refused to leave.


2 a.m., Murphys A caller said teens were throwing paintballs at passing cars on Highway 4 at Forest Meadows.

6:26 a.m., San Andreas An open door was reported at a service station on Highway 49. Nothing appeared to be missing.

8:50 a.m., Valley Springs A man on the 6300 block of Crail Way said someone had been smashing his mailbox with rocks for the the past three days and now has destroyed it with a sledgehammer.

11:53 a.m., San Andreas Two suspicious-looking men in a van outside an empty house on the 400 block of Gold Court turned out to be housing inspectors waiting for the owner.

1:18 p.m., San Andreas A motorcycle reportedly had been parked on Highway 49 at the Calaveritas Bridge for two or three days. A deputy found the owner camping by the river and panning for gold.

2:43 p.m., Arnold A vehicle was vandalized on the 3200 block of Lakemont Drive.

4:06 p.m., Copperopolis Electricity theft was reported on the 4000 block of Flint Trail.

4:30 p.m., Rail Road Flat A tarp and piece of rope worth less than $20 were stolen on the 2400 block of Railroad Flat Road.

5:09 p.m., Mokelumne Hill A camera was stolen from a house on the 7500 block of Howard Lane.

6:43 p.m., San Andreas Two juveniles reportedly were trying to pry open a door at San Andreas Elementary School.

7:32 p.m., West Point A woman on the 100 block of Bald Mountain Road someone stole her sprinkler.

1 a.m., Copper Cove A man was banging on the door of a house on the 2100 block of Quail Hill Road saying he had been beaten up.

1:15 a.m., Camanche Reservoir A fight involving people at four campsites was reported at the Riverview Campground.

6:43 a.m., San Andreas A woman in the emergency room at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital thought she had been poisoned, but medical personnel blamed her condition on bad meat.

11:36 a.m., Valley Springs Three men were reportedly trespassing on the 4500 block of Henney Court.

12:29 p.m., Valley Springs A woman on the 5500 block of Trioste said she wanted her invisible guests to leave because she thought they were making up a story about her.

12:42 p.m., Valley Springs A woman who had moved to Lodi said a man whom she has a restraining order against got out of jail, went to her residence on the 3300 block of Hartvickson Lane and sold all her belongings in a garage sale.

2:12 p.m., Copperopolis A woman on the 600 block of Cattle Drive said her boyfriend jumped on top of her new car and dented it because he was angry at her son.

3:53 p.m., West Point The owner of a house on the 2100 block of Lily Valley Circle said someone forced open a sliding glass door, stole a television set and other items and trashed the house over the past week.

4:02 p.m., Arnold Someone on the 1200 block of Shady Circle complained that "a pedophile goes to the bathroom outside," kids go around "putting dog crap on porches" and someone else puts glass in the road "so people can't drive by their house."

4:33 p.m., Burson A caller on the 3500 block of Highway 12 said someone threw rocks through the window.

5:36 p.m., Murphys A man on the 4400 block of Pennsylvania Gulch Road said someone broke into his motorhome and stole firearms.

8:23 p.m., Valley Springs A man on the 2100 block of Highway 26 said a husband and wife had been fighting all day. He said they also came into his house without permission and were fighting there.

9:37 p.m., Valley Springs A woman on the 6000 block of Garner Place said her mailbox was vandalized.

10:57 p.m., San Andreas Two men ran out of the Harris Food Mart with an 18-pack of beer.



9:30 p.m., San Andreas area An escaped debris burn was reported on the 1800 block of North Ranchero Road. Damage was estimated at $200 to 1 acre of brush. Landowner was undetermined. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, San Andreas Fire Department and Foothill Fire Protection District responded.


10:45 a.m., Angels Camp area A small spot fire was reported off Highway 49. No dollar damage was reported. Caltrans owns the property. The fire was caused by a vehicle. CDF, Altaville-Melones Fire Protection District, Angels Camp Fire Department and one helicopter from Columbia Air Base responded.

1:30 p.m., Burson area A 50-by-50-foot spot fire was reported on the 8600 block of Highway 26. William Thayler of San Andreas owns the property. No dollar damage was reported. CDF, Jenny Lind Fire Protection District, San Andreas Fire Protection District, Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District and one helicopter from Columbia responded.

6:30 p.m., West Point area A vehicle fire was reported to a 1980 Chevrolet Camaro on Highway 26 at Bald Mountain Road. Anissa Turners of West Point owns the car. Damage was estimated at $1,200 to the engine compartment. Cause of the fire is undetermined. CDF, West Point Fire Protection District and Central Fire Protection District responded.

7:15 p.m., Valley Springs area A small spot fire was reported off Highway 12. No dollar damage was reported. The fire was caused by a boat trailer. Property owner is undetermined. CDF responded.

7:35 p.m., Wallace A small spot fire was reported on Olivera Court near Camanche Parkway off Highway 12. Nemecio Alverez of Stockton owns the land. CDF, Central Fire Protection District and Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection district responded.
