8:23 a.m., Jamestown A woman on the 10300 block of Preston Lane said her daughter got up to wash her hair in the morning and found cut hair on the floor that did not appear to belong to anyone in the residence.
10:09 a.m., Columbia A woman found a knife at Church of the 49ers Preschool on the 11000 block of Jackson Street, under a play structure. She also said a storage unit had been taken apart and used for a skateboard ramp.
10:26 a.m., Jamestown A Community Service Unit volunteer said a woman at Rocca Park appeared to be drunk.
12:24 p.m., Lyons Bald Mountain Road area A woman said a suspicious-looking man was spray painting a car on the side of Bald Mountain Road near Lyons Street.
1:11 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 18200 block of Smoke Street said someone broke a window at her house.
3:10 p.m., Long Barn A Twain Harte Elementary School bus driver said a 7-year-old was being unruly on the bus.
4:14 p.m., Strawberry area A man said corrals on Forest Service Road 5N02 in the Beaver Creek area were vandalized.
6:57 p.m., East Sonora A man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, vandalism and public intoxication at The Junction shopping center. A caller saw the man breaking windows on cars parked in the lot.
7:29 p.m., Standard area A woman on the 15200 block of Cavalieri Road said about 100 CDs were stolen from her car. She estimated the loss at $1,500.
8:22 p.m., Phoenix Lake area A man on the 15300 block of Bear Cub Drive said his dog was out wandering and dragged home a bag that had a white, powdery substance in it.
9:37 p.m., Jamestown A man who works at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park said he saw two people running away from Railtown just after an alarm went off.
9:56 p.m., Tuolumne A man on the 20100 block of Canyonview Drive said a teen driving a white hatchback car swerved at him while the man was standing by the side of the road.
12:04 a.m., Groveland Kristina Kay Whalen, 35, 19500 block of Chaffee Circle, Groveland, booked on suspicion of falsifying or altering a vehicle registration card and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after arrest on Pine Mountain Drive and Ferretti Road, Groveland. She was released after posting $4,000 bail.
2:44 a.m., Tuolumne Dave Leslie Fells, 44, 2500 block of McAdoo, Modesto, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance after an arrest at Black Oak Casino.
About 9 p.m. yesterday, a Black Oak Casino security officer reported he saw Fells and a woman sitting in a truck in the casino parking lot. The officer saw the pair snort what he believed was methamphetamine or cocaine before standing in line to get into the casino, Lt. John Steely said.
Deputy Tim Wertz was at the casino to help monitor a large crowd gathered for a motorcycle give-away. Wertz stopped the couple and questioned them. He asked Fells if he could search the truck and was given permission. Inside he said he found .7 grams of methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana.
The woman, 47, was booked on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Fells remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

1:09 p.m., found property A woman on the 100 block of Linoberg Street said someone left a bicycle on her porch during the Mother Lode Roundup Parade and never retrieved it.
4:24 p.m., lost property A Twain Harte man said he lost a bundle of cash and his ID after leaving them on top of his vehicle on South Washington Street.
4:35 p.m., child endangerment A caller said three children had been left in a car on the 1000 block of Mono Way with the windows only partially open for more than 10 minutes. The car was gone when an officer arrived.
10:35 p.m., theft An employee at Sonora Express Mart on Pesce Way said a man stole a bottle of wine then got into a gray sedan and headed south on Highway 49.

1:11 p.m., Copperopolis A house on the 1900 block of Choctaw was burglarized.
4:21 p.m., Douglas Flat A woman, seen walking west on Highway 4 who appeared to be disoriented, was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness.
5:42 p.m., San Andreas Tools were taken from a storage shed on the 3000 block of Highway 12.
6:52 p.m., San Andreas A house on the 1300 block of Calaveritas Road was vandalized with spray paint.
7:42 p.m., Valley Springs A caller on the 1000 block of Mockingbird Hill called 911. Dispatchers heard only screaming and sent a deputy, who discovered people at the house were arguing over a dog fight that occurred earlier in the evening.
3:22 p.m., San Andreas Anthony James Casanelli, 28, 3000 block of Barde Road, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of forgery and second-degree burglary after an arrest at Bank of Lodi, San Andreas.
According to a sheriff's department report, Casanelli tried to alter a paycheck, making it for $100 more than the employer intended, and cash it at the bank. A bank clerk told deputies the check did not look right and notified her boss, who called the sheriff's department.
After deputies confirmed the correct amount with the employer, Casanelli was arrested. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $30,000 bail.
6:20 p.m., Angels Camp Russell Gene Pacheco, 48, 200 block of Bret Harte Drive, Angels Camp, and Steve Ralph Parkison, 46, 1300 block of Bush Street, Angels Camp, both booked on suspicion of possessing and selling a controlled substance.
Pacheco was also booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $75,000 bail.
Parkison was held this morning in lieu of $65,000 bail.
Also arrested at Pacheco's house was Anna West, 38, 4300 block of Meadowview Road, Hathaway Pines. She was booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and remained held in lieu of $15,000 bail.
No other details were available.
9:30 p.m., Valley Springs Carole Lynne Browning, 42, and Jacob Aaron Davis, 29, both of the 6900 block of Baldwin Street, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of making or passing fictitious checks and destroying evidence after an arrest at Mar-Val Food Stores on Highway 26.
According to a sheriff's department report, Browning and Davis allegedly stole checks from a Valley Springs resident, then cashed one at Longs Drug and tried to cash the other at Mar-Val Food Stores. A Mar-Val clerk noticed something was wrong with the check and called the sheriff's department.
When arrested, Browning suffered an asthma attack and was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment before being booked.
Browning was also booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary because investigators said she was successful in cashing the check at Longs. Davis was also booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property and giving false information to a peace officer.
Browning remained in custody this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail. Davis was held this morning in lieu of $45,000 bail.
12:35 a.m., Angels Camp Keith Lloyd Peoples, 51, 1800 block of Meadowview, Arnold, booked on suspicion of possessing and selling a controlled substance after an arrest on Highways 4 and 49, Angles Camp. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $60,000 bail.
