New stoplight will be activated

Two new sets of traffic signals will be activated in East Sonora about mid-day tomorrow, officially opening the new section of Hess Avenue to the public.

A stretch of Hess Avenue between Highway 108 and Phoenix Lake Road was closed several months ago so it could be rerouted as part of the East Sonora Bypass project.

One set of signals will be placed at Highway 108 and Hess Avenue

The other will be where Hess Avenue intersects with Phoenix Lake and Bergel roads, where signs will direct traffic to turn left toward Bergel Road or right onto Phoenix Lake Road.
