The caller was afraid mail trucks wouldn't be able to deliver the mail, but when dispatch advised him to have the trucks towed, he said he did not want to take care of that himself.

10:07 a.m., Columbia A Quail Mine Road caller said some people have been camping on Quail Mine Creek for three weeks. The owner of the property said he had given his friend permission to stay for a short time.
3:10 a.m., Sonora Kathy Maryann Hastings, 37, 10600 block of Seventh Street, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest at Save Mart on the 100 block of Stockton Road, Sonora. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.
3:18 p.m., Tuolumne Davie Charlie Carr, 21, 18300 block of Woodham Carne Road, Tuolumne, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle and being under the influence of a controlled substance after an arrest on Pine and Elm streets, Tuolumne.
According to a Sheriff's Department report, paramedics were called because a woman was said to be having seizures on the street. Medical crews arrived, but the woman would not cooperate with them, the report said. Paramedics said the woman was not having seizures, but was under the influence of something. A deputy arrived, searched the woman and reportedly found suspected methamphetamine in her pocket, along with a hypodermic needle. He arrested her.
Carr remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.
3:45 p.m., Jamestown A 40-year-old Jupiter man was booked on suspicion of felony battery after an arrest on the 10600 block of Seventh Street, Jamestown. He was released after posting $35,000 bail.

5:30 p.m., Sonora A kitchen fire was reported on the 20100 block of Gibbs Drive. A woman was cooking, and the oil she was using began smoking. Firefighters put a lid on the pot and extinguished the fire. Jeanne Bashor of the same address owns the home. CDF and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.
1:30 p.m., Sonora area A power pole fire was reported on Lime Kiln Road near Lime Rock Road. PG&E owns the pole. Dollar damage was undetermined. CDF, Tuolumne County Fire Department and Jamestown Fire Protection District responded.

4:05 p.m., San Andreas A Calaveras High School administrator asked a deputy to come to the school to talk to a teen who admitted smoking marijuana at school.

3:35 a.m., Valley Springs A caller at the campground on Acorn East said when he or she asked other campers to be quieter, they threw rocks at the caller's motor home.
8:33 a.m., Railroad Flat A woman on the 3700 block of Railroad Flat Road said someone stole everything of value from her unlocked carport overnight.

10:53 a.m., Arnold A woman on the 2400 block of Pine Drive said she found evidence of fires being lit on her property in different areas. She found burned spots, charcoal and burned trees, and has had problems with trespassers in the past.

9:52 p.m., Valley Springs A caller reported a woman who appeared to be drunk was trying to get into her vehicle on the 100 block of Nove Way.
3:25 p.m., Calaveras County Ryan Bran Knowles-Browder, 28, 9600 block of Majestic Lane, Stockton, booked on suspicion of battery causing injuries after an arrest at Amador Hospital, Jackson. Also booked was Victoria Marie Williams, 23, 600 block of West Parkway, Stockton, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after an arrest at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital, San Andreas.
According to a sheriff's department report, Knowles-Browder and Williams were fighting in a vehicle while driving through Calaveras County. Williams told a deputy at the hospital that Knowles-Browder bit her cheek and upper arm forced her out of his vehicle near Mokelumne Hill, then drove off.
A caller found her at a convenience store on Highway 26 and Highway 49 and called 911 because the woman was disoriented and bleeding. Williams was taken to the San Andreas hospital, where she told a deputy her version of the fight.
The report further said that after forcing Williams from his car, Knowles-Browder drove to Jackson for medical treatment because he needed stitches in his head after Williams struck him on the head with a beer bottle.
Knowles-Browder remained held this morning in lieu of $25,000 bail. Williams was held this morning in lieu of $45,000 bail.
11:03 p.m., Circle XX Nicholas Robert Elvin Sudderth, 27, 30 block of Walker, Stockton, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest on Hunt Road about a mile east of Hogan Dam Road. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.
12:30 a.m., Arnold Donald Ballard Jr., 41, 2400 block of Stephanie Drive, Arnold, booked on suspicion of making criminal threats after arrest at his house. He was released after posting $15,000 bail.
