8:31 a.m., Sonora area Angels Camp police issued a "be-on-the-lookout" order for a reckless driver heading south on Highway 49 from Angels Camp toward Sonora. The man was in camouflage clothing driving a black pickup truck with a generator and dog kennel in the bed of the truck.

10:20 a.m., Jamestown A woman on the 10300 block of Preston Lane said prescription methadone pills and $25 were stolen from her home.

10:59 a.m., East Sonora A caller saw a woman pull a knife on the driver of a purple car near The Junction shopping center. A deputy investigated and found a woman in a fast food restaurant washing pepper spray out of her eyes. She told the deputy a man the boyfriend of the woman with a knife pepper-sprayed her.

11:47 a.m., Twain Harte area The Confidence Inn on the 23300 block of Highway 108 was burglarized when someone entered through a back window.

1:46 p.m., Sonora Meadows A woman on the 21300 block of Crestview Drive said her fence was vandalized.

1:50 p.m., Sonora A woman found a gold-colored watch near the Tuolumne County Jail and turned it in to the Sheriff's Department.

2:12 p.m., East Sonora A woman saw an elderly man, who appeared to be disoriented and wobbling, hitchhiking along Highway 108 at Rancho Poquitos. A California Highway Patrol officer was sent to investigate.

3:13 p.m., Tuolumne A Community Service Unit volunteer said he was told there were two drunks on the lawn at St. Joseph's Church on Gardner Avenue.

3:16 p.m., Groveland A woman on the 8000 block of Jackass Ridge Road said she had been threatened by two men over a vehicle.

3:55 p.m., Twain Harte A man on the 23000 block of Mountain Drive said two girls keep trespassing on his property.

4:20 p.m., New Melones Reservoir A man said a water skier with a parachute being pulled by a boat is too high in the air and interfering with airplane traffic.

5:17 p.m., Columbia A man on Gold Street said his ex-girlfriend's son stabbed him in the arm.

6:21 p.m., Twain Harte A woman said a man, who appeared to be in his 40s, was parked in a silver-and-blue car on an unpaved part of South Fork Road near Italian Bar Road. She said the man had been there for three days. A deputy said the man was disoriented and confused, so the deputy took him home.

9:54 p.m., Tuolumne A man on the 23200 block of Tuolumne Drive said a man and his brother came to the door and punched his roommate in the face and took items from the house they said belonged to them.

11:04 p.m., Pine Mountain Lake A caller said a vending machine and lights were vandalized at Pine Mountain Lake Campground on Ferretti Drive and Cottonwood Street.

11:31 p.m., Jamestown A woman who has been repeatedly turned away from Chicken Ranch Bingo on the 16900 block of Chicken Ranch Road was told by a deputy if she came back again she would be arrested for trespassing.


3:49 a.m., Jamestown A caller said he could hear a man beating up a woman at an apartment on Seventh Street.

Felony bookings


2:45 p.m., Sonora A 33-year-old Modesto man was booked on a warrant charging him with child abuse. He was brought to Tuolumne County from the Stanislaus County Jail and was held this morning in lieu of $40,000 bail.


1:55 a.m., Jamestown Jake Patrick Barton, 20, 200 block of Theall Street, Sonora, booked on a California Youth Authority parole violation after an arrest on the 18200 block of Main Street, Jamestown. No details were available. He was held without bail this morning.

Robert Gerald Gilbertson, 27, 5100 block of Jones Street, Mariposa, booked at 3:20 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Barretta and Lyons streets, Sonora.

5:17 a.m., suspicious circumstances An officer checked on a pickup with a flat tire on Southgate Drive.

6:29 a.m., suspicious circumstances A man at a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road said a white van has been parked by nearby newsstands for the past three weeks.

8:10 a.m., theft A man said two leaf blowers, together valued at $1,058, were stolen from his locked truck, parked behind a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

9:44 a.m., vandalism The side-view mirrors on the Police Department's parking enforcement vehicle were broken off after 5 p.m. April 10 while it was in the upper Police Department lot on South Green Street.

9:58 a.m., traffic accident No one was injured when an undisclosed material spilled from the second trailer of a semi near Fairview Lane and Stockton Road.

11:47 a.m., theft A woman said someone stole her purse from her car while she was getting her taxes done at a business on the 700 block of Mono Way.

12:31 p.m., found property A woman on the 10 block of Columbia Way said she found a gun in her roommate's bedroom.

3:40 p.m., traffic accident A non-injury crash was reported on the 90 block of South Washington Street.

3:59 p.m., found property An officer found a girl's bicycle near trash bins behind a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

4:11 p.m., public intoxication A woman at a business on the 300 block of South Washington Street said a man was lying across a driveway, preventing anyone from leaving or arriving. The 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

6:46 p.m., suspicious circumstances Someone said a man, who appeared to have been drinking, was harassing three young boys near a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road. The caller said it looked like the man was trying to take his clothes off.

7:26 p.m., suspicious circumstances A man reported an undisclosed incident on the 200 block of Theall Street.

8:03 p.m., suspicious circumstances An officer checked on two people near a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road. At least one of the persons was told not to punch road signs.

8:38 p.m., suspicious circumstances A woman at a business on the 700 block of Mono Way reported an undisclosed incident.

6:15 p.m., Sonora A flue fire was reported on the 15400 block of Ridgewood Drive. No dollar damage was reported. Mike and Kathy Kodge of the same address own the home. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

10:39 a.m., Valley Springs A barn on the 1500 block of Quail Oaks Road was burglarized.

12:59 p.m., Avery An Avery Middle School employee said the school, on the 4500 block of Moran Road, was vandalized.

3:31 p.m., San Andreas A caller said there was a possible fight going on at a baseball field on the 900 block of Mountain Ranch Road. A deputy checked and didn't find any problem.

3:36 p.m., San Andreas A caller said numerous teens were fighting on the 100 block of Church Street.

4:23 p.m., Arnold A caller on the 2800 block of El Dorado Drive said a camera was stolen in March.

8:22 p.m., San Andreas A woman on the 1000 block of Gold Hunter Road said a man who has been stalking her was outside her house in his car.

8:24 p.m., West Point A man said windows were broken at his cocktail lounge on the 300 block of Main Street.

Felony bookings


10:36 a.m., San Andreas Joseph M. Palmer, 36, 1600 block of Rawhide Drive, Arnold, booked on a warrant charging him with forgery and receiving stolen property. He was brought to the county jail from Rio Consumnes Correctional Center and remained held this morning on $30,000 bail.


1:05 a.m., Mokelumne Hill Joel Garrett Taylor, 21, 100 block of Broadway, San Andreas, booked on suspicion of transporting marijuana, possessing a loaded and concealed handgun and being a felon in possession of a firearm after an arrest on Highway 49 at Highway 26, Mokelumne Hill.

Deputy Jon Thompson stopped Taylor's car for a traffic violation and after searching the car, found marijuana and the handgun, a Calaveras County Sheriff's Department report said. He was released after posting $30,000 bail.
