The golden touch

The Sonora High School Golden Regiment played in front of about 1,000 screaming Sonora fans among 37,000 others at a San Francisco Giants home game. Although the Giants lost to the San Diego Padres, the 280 band members roared through "Rag Doll" by Aerosmith among other popular tunes and filled the stadium with a rousing rendition of The National Anthem. Coming tomorrow: More photos and an account from a Union Democrat reporter, an alumna of the Golden Regiment, who traveled to the game "embedded" with current band members.
