11:01 a.m., Jamestown A woman on the 17100 block of Jenny Court said a pair of antique lamps were stolen from her.

11:03 a.m., Willow Springs A woman at the Willow Springs Association on Willow Springs Drive said women's clothing and a blanket were found in a park.

12:19 p.m., Mono Vista A caller said a man on the 22000 block of Longeway Road was seen talking to himself and acting strange.

2:23 p.m., Crystal Falls A woman on the 22000 block of Crystal Falls Drive said a man was driving by the house harassing her.

3:20 p.m., Jamestown A man found a wallet on the side of Highway 108 near Rawhide Road and turned it over to the sheriff's department.

3:46 p.m., Cedar Ridge A caller said a man brandished a gun at the caller and a friend when they were walking along a ditch near Kuien Mill Road.

4:51 p.m., Quail Hollow A woman on the 12000 block of Chukar Circle said her roommate was tearing up the house.

5:25 p.m., Big Hill A man on the 22900 block of Robertson Ranch Road said he found a charred item in his yard he believed might belong to the space shuttle Columbia.

5:57 p.m., Columbia A Columbia College security officer said a man who was allegedly drunk was dropped off at the college in the staff parking lot and the officer did not want him on campus.

6:31 p.m., Tuolumne A woman said a man who reportedly stole her vehicle was at a house on Cherokee Road. When she tried to recover the car, the man tried to hit her.

6:50 p.m., Twain Harte A Twain Harte Pharmacy employee said a woman left the business wearing clothes she did not pay for.

7:26 p.m., Jamestown A caller said a man was arguing with his girlfriend in the parking lot at Oak Hills Apartments on the 18000 block of Preston Lane. The man had a rifle and a knife.

8:57 p.m., Racetrack Road area A woman on the 20200 block of Jamestown Road said a man and a woman were arguing at a nearby apartment.

9:31 p.m., Quail Hollow A woman on the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane said three men wearing baseball caps were in front of her home with guns, looking for someone. Deputies were unable to find the men. Deputies were later called back when another man saw a truck in the neighborhood. The driver was cited for driving without a license, and the passenger was arrested on a felony warrant.

10:04 p.m., Quail Hollow A woman on the 12000 block of Chukar Circle said her husband, who had been drinking, threatened her because she wanted a piece of pizza.


7:02 a.m., Jamestown A man on the 10200 block of Preston Lane said he was at a friend's apartment the night before when another man came in and started beating up one of the women in the apartment. The first man then left the apartment and the alleged assailant followed him, struck him in the chest, took his backpack and dumped out the contents, taking his prescription medication and other personal items.

8:32 a.m., East Sonora A woman at Round Table Pizza in The Junction shopping center reported receiving a counterfeit $50 bill the day before.

8:51 a.m., Tuolumne A 13-year-old boy at Summerville Elementary School was said to be out of control, running around the school and shouting obscenities. He was turned over to his mother.

9:38 a.m., Crystal Falls A woman on the 17100 block of Nile River Drive said someone used her personal information to open a telephone account without her knowledge or consent.

10:13 a.m., Tuolumne Marijuana was found on a student at Summerville High School.

11:29 a.m., East Sonora Two women came into a check cashing service in The Junction shopping center and tried to cash income tax refund checks without identification. The employee refused and the women left, walking toward a bank in the shopping center.

12:51 p.m., Twain Harte A 39-year-old man on the 22800 block of Highland Drive was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant from Ventura.

2:39 p.m., Columbia A man on the 23500 block of Carlotta Terrace said he found the gun he had previously reported missing. He said he hid it before going on vacation and now remembered where it was.

3:45 p.m., Groveland A man who had been out of town all week said he returned to his home on the 13200 block of Mueller Drive and found someone had tried to pry his front door with a crowbar. Nothing appeared to be missing.

4:50 p.m., Sonora area An 18-year-old man on the 21100 block of Shaws Flat Road reportedly tried to kick in a neighbor's front door.

5:31 p.m., Jamestown A woman leaving a restaurant on the 18200 block of Main Street appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested on several misdemeanor warrants.

6:07 p.m., Pinecrest A woman at Dodge Ridge Winter Sports Area found a wallet and turned it in.

7:09 p.m., Jamestown A man on the 18100 block of Fourth Avenue said a woman staying at the residence spanked his 10-year-old son with a brush.

8:45 p.m., Twain Harte A woman on Tanager Drive said a teen-age boy and girl came to her door asking to use the phone. They looked suspicious so she did not let them in. She said her neighbor also noticed them hanging around in the area earlier in the day.

8:49 p.m., Confidence A man on the 22800 block of Confidence Road said three to four kids ages 10 to 12 banged on his front door twice, and then he heard a rock hit the house.

9:38 p.m., Tuolumne A caller on Friary Road said about 30 cars have driven by, stopping for a few minutes at a house at the end of the road and then leaving again.

10:07 p.m., Jamestown The California Highway Patrol relayed a possible Amber Alert sighting, giving information about a small white pickup traveling east on Highway 108, east of La Grange Road.

10:19 p.m., Sonora A woman on the 20500 block of Columbia Way said a man who had been drinking assaulted her and drove away in a white car.


12:02 a.m., Jamestown A 49-year-old man was arrested on Highway 108 on a Tuolumne County misdemeanor warrant.

9:18 a.m., Jamestown A woman on French Flat Road said someone broke the gate on her property, then broke into a storage shed and stole a motorcycle, bicycles, a tent trailer and other items.

9:21 a.m., Twain Harte A woman said someone broke into her vacation cabin on the 18800 block of Fir Drive and stolen a snowboard, video game player, 50 video games, jewelry and clothing.

9:25 a.m., Jamestown A woman on Rawhide Road said her car was hit by a paint ball while she was driving home the night before.

10:06 a.m., Sonora area A woman on the 13300 block of Adelleanna Lane said she was assaulted by her intoxicated brother the night before.

10:07 a.m., Crystal Falls A woman on the 16500 block of Creekside Drive said her 14-year-old daughter was out of control and destroyed one of her younger sister's toys with an ax.

10:19 a.m., Twain Harte A woman on the 17900 block of Little Fuller Road said someone broke a passenger window on a parked van.

10:30 a.m., Twain Harte A woman on the 23400 block of Tanager Drive said she saw a teen-age boy going into a vacation cabin she knew should be vacant.

10:37 a.m., Sonora area A man on the 20500 block of West Walnut Drive said his 33-year-old nephew assaulted him after an argument. The nephew was arrested on a warrant from Modesto.

3:32 p.m., Sonora area A woman on the 19700 block of Highway 108 said a man at her house was causing a disturbance. She said he took a television set, VCR, car keys and house keys, then left.

6 p.m., Sonora area A woman said her 13-year-old son found a .22-caliber rifle in a trash can at a mini-storage business on Cabezut Road.

10:42 p.m., Twain Harte An 18-year-old man was arrested at Twain Harte Lake on suspicion of public intoxication.


7:42 a.m., Sonora area A 44-year-old man arguing with a woman on the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane was arrested on a Tuolumne County warrant.

8:34 a.m., Columbia A woman on the 13700 block of Rocky Top End Road said an antique clawfoot bathtub valued at $1,800 was stolen from in front of the residence.

8:44 a.m., Twain Harte A man on East Avenue said he found a checkbook and identification card.

10:55 a.m., Sonora A woman in the Timberhills shopping center said she thought she saw the man and missing girl described in a recent Amber Alert.

11:58 a.m., Jamestown A man was arguing with the manager and refusing to pay his bill at a motel on the 10300 block of Willow Street.

12:16 p.m., Tuolumne A California Highway Patrol officer called the U.S. Forest Service to report finding a possible drug-lab dump on Cottonwood Road.

Felony bookings


9:14 a.m., East Sonora Clyde Eric McRoberts, 32, 15000 block of Cavalieri Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of grand theft and failing to return lost property to its rightful owner after arrest at a convenience store on the 13700 block of Highway 108, East Sonora.

Sgt. Bob Bogolea said this morning that a deputy was in the convenience store Friday morning when a man told him he had dropped an envelope containing $585 in the parking lot. The man's friend said he saw McRoberts in the area where the envelope was dropped.

A deputy questioned McRoberts, a prison parolee, and during a search found $722 in McRoberts' wallet, including three $100 bills, 14 $20 bills and a $5 the same numbers and denominations the man reported were in the dropped envelope. The deputy also found the envelope in a trash can at the store.

McRoberts remained in custody this morning without bail, held on on a state parole hold.


12:50 a.m., Jamestown Jamie Marie VanWinkle, 32, 24400 block of Wild Horse Lane, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and warrants charging her with drunken driving and driving on a suspended license after arrest on Highway 108 at Woods Way, Jamestown.

She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $3,000 bail.

3:49 a.m., Sonora Jesse Alexander Dye, 22, no address given, booked on suspicion of possessing a dangerous weapon and receiving stolen property after arrest on Delnero Drive, Sonora. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

8:40 p.m., Jamestown Danny Cody Schulke-Hobbs, 26, 19600 block of Soulsbyville Road, Soulsbyville, booked on suspicion of robbery after arrest on the 10300 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown.

According to a sheriff's department report, Schulke-Hobbs allegedly stole prescription medication from a man at an apartment after arguing with the man.

He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Jeffrey Lynn Kaiser, 23, 20200 block of Grouse Way, Sonora, booked at 2:36 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Shepherd and Jackson streets, Sonora.

Dayle Arlene Serene, 68, 19000 block of Middle Camp Sugarpine Road, Twain Harte, booked at 6:10 p.m. Saturday after arrest in a parking lot of a business on the 2300 block of Joaquin Gully Road, Twain Harte.

Michael Brian Keegan, 32, 16500 block of Sallander Drive, Sonora, booked at 9:55 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Highway 108 west of Highway 49.

1:57 a.m., traffic accident A non-injury crash was reported on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

7:45 a.m., theft A woman said a purse was stolen from a shopping cart at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

9:35 a.m., found property A driver's license was found on South Washington Street.

10:04 a.m., suspicious circumstances An officer checked out a loud noise near propane tanks on the 1000 block of South Washington Street.

12:41 p.m., suspicious circumstances A reckless driver was reported on South Barretta Street.

12:54 p.m., traffic accident A non-injury crash was reported on Mono Way.

3:44 p.m., theft A man on the 30 block of Wyckhoff Street said someone stole several items from a porch and garden area.

4:24 p.m., vehicle theft A man said someone stole a vehicle from the parking lot of a business on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road.

5:57 p.m., theft Electronics equipment was reported stolen from Wal-Mart on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

6:41 p.m., traffic accident A non-injury crash was reported on Fairview Lane.

7:19 p.m., suspicious circumstances A man on the 300 block of North Washington Street said someone shot a paintball through his window.

7:36 p.m., suspicious circumstances A woman said a man was standing near her vehicle checking it out in the parking lot of a business on Mono Way. When the woman approached the man, he said the vehicle was not his and left in a sport-utility vehicle.

10:23 p.m., reckless driving California Highway Patrol reported a driver who was swerving all over the road between Parrotts Ferry Road and South Washington Street.

10:43 p.m., theft A 15-year-old boy was cited and released on suspicion of shoplifting from Pak 'n' Save Foods on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road. A police report states that the boy tried to steal three bottles of liquor from the store. He was stopped by store security before an officer arrived.


7:02 a.m., suspicious circumstances A man on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road reported finding human feces on his vehicle.

10:17 a.m., animal complaints A woman on the 80 block of Gold Street called to report that the previous afternoon, her dog bit a teen-age boy who put his hand through the fence. She said the boy required medical attention, but the dog's shots were up to date.

10:30 a.m., warrant arrest A 53-year-old woman was arrested on six Sonora police misdemeanor warrants.

11:31 a.m., found property A police officer found an inhaler and other medication in the roadway on Mono Way at Sanguinetti Road.

12:04 p.m., agency assist An ambulance was called for a girl at Sonora High School who suffered a possible broken neck in the gymnasium.

12:41 p.m., suspicious circumstances A woman said a young girl resembling an Amber Alert victim walked into a bank in the Sonora Plaza.

4:04 p.m., animal complaints A friendly pit bull was reported in front of a grocery store on the 100 block of Stockton Road. The owner retrieved the dog twice, but it kept coming back, jumping on people and scaring them.

4:08 p.m., fight A fist fight broke out in front of a store on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

5:34 p.m., lost property A man on the 100 block of Pine Street said he lost a sample pack containing five Viagra pills, saying he was concerned they could be dangerous if a teen-ager found them.

10:39 p.m., traffic violations A man said he followed two pickups that failed to stop at two stop signs and honked his horn at them. The trucks turned around and followed the man into the Sonora Crossroads shopping center, where the occupants circled around him, cursed at him and then fled.


12:37 a.m., traffic accident A drunk man reportedly struck a fence on Hospital Road and walked home. At 8:07 a.m., a woman on the 200 block of Hospital Road reported damage to a fence, mailbox and tree.

10:55 a.m., lost property A Twain Harte man said he lost a file folder containing his resume and other personal papers in Sonora.

11:31 a.m., found property An officer found a checkbook and cover in the public restroom next to the police station on the 100 block of Green Street.

12:54 p.m., citizen assist Someone reportedly was stuck in the elevator at Sonora Veterans Memorial Hall on the first block of North Washington Street.

4 p.m., disorderly conduct A man on the 100 block of Lower Sunset Drive said his female roommate who was moving out was outside with an ax, tearing up the house. While the man was on the phone, the woman kicked in the door and came into the house with the ax, then the phone connection went dead.

5:19 p.m., lost property A woman said she lost her wallet inside a store in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

7:45 p.m., traffic accident A Sonora man said his vehicle was sideswiped by a pickup on East Bald Mountain Road.

11:13 p.m., citizen assist The father of a 16-year-old girl said his daughter met a 38-year-old man on the Internet and her mother was going to take the girl to meet him at a Sonora restaurant the next day against the father's wishes.


12:09 a.m., vandalism Eggs were thrown at a restaurant window on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

2:07 a.m., public intoxication A 40-year-old man on South Washington Street was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

11:29 a.m., San Andreas A caller said newspaper boxes and address signs were torn down and tossed aside on the 2500 block of Murray Ridge Road.


8:55 p.m., Valley Springs A caller said a drunken man was lying in a driveway on the 6300 block of McCauley.

Felony bookings


5 p.m., Copperopolis A 64-year-old Copperopolis man, booked on a warrant charging him with child abuse after he turned himself in. He was released after posting $300,000 bail.

5:19 p.m., Murphys Kenneth James Lee Leonard, 36, 500 block of Esmerelda Road, Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of possessing a hypodermic syringe after an arrest on the 400 block of Tanner Street, Murphys. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.


8:15 a.m., San Andreas Kimberly Lorene Molette, 38, 300 block of Pope Street, San Andreas, booked on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child and child abandonment after she turned herself in on a warrant.

According to a sheriff's department report, a man called 911 about 5 p.m. Saturday because three children were at the side of Highway 12 near Double Springs Road near his house.

The children, ages 10, 13, and 15, told a deputy that their mother was angry with them and that she had been driving dangerously. At some point, Molette stopped the car and children got out and screamed for help. Molette then drove off, the kids told the deputy.

The children were taken into protective custody.

Yesterday morning Molette came into the sheriff's department to talk to a deputy and she was arrested.

She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $75,000 bail.


12:35 a.m., San Andreas Jeff Charles Berger, 28, Harney Lane, Lodi, and Jolleen Ruth Howden, 22, 200 block of Sequoia Street, Valley Springs, both booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after an arrest on St. Charles Street, San Andreas.

Berger was also booked on suspicion of possessing a switchblade and Howden was also booked on suspicion of destroying evidence and giving false information to an officer. Berger remained in custody this morning in lieu of $28,000 bail. Howden was held this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

James Wesley Nolan Jr., 51, 17100 block of Baker Riley Way, Mountain Ranch, booked at 9:50 p.m. Friday after arrest on Baker Riley Way.



5:15 p.m., Murphys An escaped debris burn was reported on the 2400 block of Skunk Ranch Road. No dollar damage was reported. Scott Peterson of the same address owns the land. Murphys Fire Protection District and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection responded.
