Sheriff's reports


8:38 a.m., Jamestown A woman on the 18700 block of Mill Villa Road said there are charges on her credit card bill that do not belong to her.

10:14 a.m., Jamestown A man was treated at a Mono Way medical clinic for a stab wound to his left shoulder. The man said he was stabbed by two men who first asked him for money while he was walking down Donovan Street in Jamestown on Tuesday night.

11:49 a.m., Columbia A woman on the 11900 block of Baxter Quarry Road said a man was on her property, but fled into some bushes when he saw her.

1:11 p.m., Twain Harte A caller said a woman keeps driving by the caller's work place on the 23000 block of Fuller Road in a harassing manner.

2:35 p.m., Big Hill A caller said a man was shooting off fireworks at a mobile home on the 16000 block of Big Hill Road.

4:10 p.m., Phoenix Lake area A woman on the 21700 block of Renee Court said a diamond bracelet and ring were missing from her home, possibly since November when the caller let a homeless woman stay at her house.

4:19 p.m., Big Oak Flat A woman said she is having ongoing problems with teen-agers riding motorcycles on her property.

6:05 p.m., North Sonora A man on the 9000 block of Highway 49 said three medicinal marijuana plants were stolen from his home. He said this is the third time his plants have been stolen.

9:38 p.m., Columbia A man said two men were "messing with" a stamp machine inside the Columbia Post Office.


12:02 a.m., Columbia A woman on the 22400 block of South Airport Road said a man was causing a disturbance when he threw a telephone and broke it.

Felony bookings


9:08 a.m., Sonora Ian Douglas Campbell, 23, 18800 block of Dusty Trail Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of welfare fraud and perjury. He was in custody on other charges when booked on the current case. He remained in custody on the new charge this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

9:58 a.m., Sonora Judy Kay Carr, 45, 18300 block of East Hershey, Tuolumne, booked on a warrant charging her with possessing marijuana for sale after she turned herself in. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

10:59 a.m., Sonora Shannon Marie-Louise Campbell, 23, 60 block of North Ash, Sonora, booked on suspicion of welfare fraud and perjury after an arrest on the first block of Washington Street, Sonora. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

5:15 p.m., Sonora Dana Lynn Stift, 43, 2400 block of Beauford Drive, Oxnard, booked on a warrant charging her with forgery, failure to appear and probation violation. She remained held this morning without bail.

11:14 p.m., Sonora Nicholas Grayson Pina, 20, transient, booked on a warrant charging him with possession of a deadly weapon after an arrest on Covey Way, Sonora. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.


1:47 a.m. Twain Harte Chad Jarrett Hughes, 19, 19500 block of Marion Road, Tuolumne; Kelly James Simmons, 19, 22800 block of Tuolumne Road North, Twain Harte; and Brian Bradley Brannon, 18, 22700 block of Coffill Road, Twain Harte, each booked on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Sheriff's Lt. John Steely said that about 12:30 a.m. today, a caller reported seeing a man either throw a rock or kick in a door at Twain Harte Shell Station. The man took beer from the store, went to a car parked at Eproson Field and left with the car's two other occupants.

About the same time, Deputy Zach Gordon was at the Twain Harte Community Services Unit office, writing a report when he heard about an alarm going off at the Shell station and saw a car speed past the office, Steely said.

Gordon chased the car and stopped it on East Avenue. He questioned the driver and two occupants, and said he found beer in the car. Gordon said the three men in the car made statements that led him to believe they had been involved in the station burglary, Steely said.

Hughes and Simmons remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail each. Brannon was released after posting $15,000 bail.

Sonora police reports


8:11 a.m., theft A woman said speakers were stolen from Josephine's Europa Cafe on the 200 block of South Washington Street.

8:48 a.m., vehicle theft A woman said a vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

1:32 p.m., public intoxication A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Stockton Road.

2:26 p.m., found property A woman said she found an art case on Saratoga Road.

2:45 p.m., theft A man said someone stole several personal items from his vehicle in the parking lot of a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

3:20 p.m., fraudulent activity A man at Mother Lode Pawn on the 500 block of Stockton Road said the business received a forged check.

6:18 p.m., harassment A woman at a business on the 1000 block of Mono Way said a man has been harassing her at her workplace for the past two months.

7:32 p.m., suspicious circumstances A woman on the 300 block of Mono Way said two vehicles were stopped behind an empty garage. The caller believed a drug deal might have been going down.

8:52 p.m., warrant arrest A 22-year-old man was arrested on two misdemeanor traffic warrants.
