6:46 a.m., Cedar Ridge A Belleview School employee said she found a knife outside a school door and an unknown substance on a door lock when she arrived for work.

8:29 a.m., Standard area A woman said when she took her children to school, she noticed a scruffy-looking man wearing a red plaid baseball cap, walking in circles on Bluebell East Road. She said the man appeared dazed and confused.

8:42 a.m., Groveland A man on Whites Gulch Road said vehicles are speeding through the neighborhood and trespassing on private property.

9:08 a.m., Sonora A man said his wallet, containing his ATM card, a credit card and identification, was stolen from his unlocked vehicle at Sonora Crossroads shopping center. His bank notified him that $700 had been charged to his ATM card.

9:26 a.m., Soulsbyville Soule's Trading Post on the 17100 block of Mono Vista Road was reported burglarized. A computer, a printer, two knives and a handgun were stolen. The loss totaled $2,266.

9:31 a.m., Groveland An airport official said he heard through another person that two people were drag-racing on the Pine Mountain Lake Airport runway.

10:44 a.m., Phoenix Lake area A woman on the 16000 block of Fortuna Mine Road said someone started Sprint PCS telephone service in her name and has run up $2,025 in phone calls.

2:36 p.m., Crystal Falls The director of Discovery Preschool said a school slide had been cracked, a bulletin board torn off a wall and garbage thrown around the school on the 20900 block of Niagara River Drive.

7:05 p.m., East Sonora A man at Gatewood Heating and Air on the 18900 block of Industry Way said someone tried to break in while he was there, but ran off.

7:17 p.m., Tuolumne A man on the 18400 block of Cedar Street said there was an extremely bad odor in his neighborhood.

11:15 p.m., Twain Harte A caller on the 22000 block of Placer Drive said she saw an suspicious-looking man walking down the street, looking into parked cars.

11:05 a.m., Tuolumne Carl Gordon Miles, 46, 18400 block of Bay Avenue, Tuolumne, booked on a warrant charging him with possessing a controlled substance, failure to appear and probation violation, after arrest at his home. He remained in custody this morning without bail.

1:56 p.m., Jamestown area Glenn Robert Kolpack, 19, no address given, booked on a warrant charging him with second-degree burglary, failure to appear and probation violation after arrest on Jacksonville Road, Jamestown. He remained held without bail this morning.

11:34 p.m., Sonora Rudolph Z. Breitter, 19, 3400 block of Cheyenne Road, Copperopolis, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana after arrest on Morning Star Drive, Sonora. He remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Roger Dean Beuckens, 57, 200 block of Theall Street, Sonora, booked at 10 p.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 108 and Green Springs Road, western Tuolumne County.

8:03 a.m., found property A large plastic jar containing shotgun shells was turned in to the Police Department for disposal.

10:07 a.m., theft A woman said someone stole her check card while she was at a business on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

10:37 a.m., fight An unidentified person reported an argument on Stewart Street that sounded like it was "escalating."

10:50 a.m., warrant arrest A 22-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant.

11:10 a.m., vandalism A woman on the 30 block of Corte Del Encino said someone damaged a lawn ornament Monday night.

1:05 p.m., suspicious circumstances An officer responded to a woman who said she was being harassed by a man she knew by name.

1:09 p.m., suspicious circumstances A possible drug deal was reported on Bonanza Court.

2:02 p.m., suspicious circumstances A woman said a man was taking pictures of her at a business on the 1000 block of Mono Way and that when she made eye contact the man looked away.

7:24 p.m., traffic accident A non-injury crash was reported on the 100 block of East Hillcrest Street.

8:43 p.m., public peace A man said people in a vehicle on East Jackson Street were spraying vehicles with a fire extinguisher. Police cited and released a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of receiving stolen property and throwing substances at vehicles. A 17-year-old boy was cited and released on suspicion of receiving stolen property.

1:30 a.m., Columbia A vehicle fire was reported on the 22600 block of Parrotts Ferry Road. Columbia Fire Protection District, Tuolumne County Fire Department and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection responded.

5:29 p.m., Arnold A house on the 2800 block of Pine Knoll Drive was reported vandalized.

9:03 p.m., Murphys A caller on the 200 block of Apple Blossom Street said someone took her keys and won't give them back.
