to head CGA board
Bob Parriott, president and chief executive officer of Twain Harte Market in Twain Harte, was elected Dec. 1 to serve as chairman of the California Grocers Association Board of Directors.
As chairman, Parriott will lead the board’s strategy regarding numerous legislative, educational, communications and industry-related programs, stated a CGA press release.
Parriott was instrumental in the association’s merger with the California Independent Grocers Association in 2014, the press release stated, and was appointed to the executive board the same year.
“Bob continues CGA’s long history of both large and small grocery operators serving as board chair,” said CGA President Ron Fong in the release. “As an independent grocery operator, Bob will be a very strong voice for this extremely important member segment of CGA. We look forward to Bob’s leadership in the coming year.”
