Leading off this week’s report is Robert Porovich who rolled a perfect 300 game in Jokers Wild.
Other notable scores: High Rollers – Jeremy Curry 279, Warren Walker 696, Dan Isam 267; Diamond Duos - Joe Rodriguez 656.
The “I can’t believe I beat myself” club inducted Joe Rodriguez as he bowled 108 pins over average with the second highest game this report, 289; Jeremy Curry (High Rollers) 80/147 pins over with 279/744 and Robert Porovich (Jokers Wild) 77 pins over with the 299.
In the Black Oak 9-Pin No-Tap league Gerry Davis tried hard for a 300 game, but left four pins for a 296 game while Chris Parreira had high series with a 751.
For the women, I was fortunate enough to share the top spots with Kay Hunter. I bowled a 263 and Kay had a 687 series.
The Wild Nite Out league had the top spots for women with Brandy Stowers and Jennifer Mueller each rolling a 203 and Nanette Warzee netted a 551.
For the men it was Bryan Mueller (keeping the top honors in the family) with 217 and Brian Kermeen with 521.
The Sonora SIRS Tournament has ended and it is expected to have final results available within the week. There were 32 entries with 79 participants from areas such as Modesto, Fremont, Sacramento, Pollock Pines, Stockton, Hercules and Pinole.
Winter league signups are under way. Most of the leagues start the week of Labor Day, except for the Monday leagues which will start the Monday after Labor Day.
Additional exceptions include the Thursday and Friday night leagues which will start on Aug. 23/24 and the Youth league which will start on Aug. 26.
