Open gym starts for Sonora girls

Summer open-gym sessions for the Sonora High School girls' basketball program begin Tuesday at Bud Castle Gym.

Incoming freshmen and players who'll be trying out for next season's sophomore and varsity squads will go at it from 6 to 8 p.m. each Tuesday through July.

Open gym for freshman boys is Monday from 5 to 7 p.m., and volleyball sessions are Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m.

Also, there's still room in Sonora's basketball shooting camps for both girls and boys. The girls' camp is July 7 through 11 and the boys' camp July 14 through 18, both from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for sixth-graders through high school players

Call Rick Francis at 532-5511, ext. 187, for camp information.
