Lions to hold first cross country run

The Sonora Lions will host its inaugural Cross Country Run on Saturday, Aug. 4.

Proceeds will benefit local sight preservation and youth projects.

The run will start at Columbia College’s Carkeet Park.

The donations for the 1-mile run are $15, 5K run $20 and family package $60. The 1-mile run begins at 8 a.m., the 5K at 8:45 a.m.

Medals will be awarded to the winners in each category and a designer shirt will go to the first 200 registrants.
