(This report is for the weeks of Aug. 29-Sept. 5. at Black Oak Casino)
After rolling three 299 games at Black Oak Lanes over the years, most recently on Feb. 27, 2012, Dan Isam finally got that final pin.
Isam bowled a perfect 300 on Sunday, his third career perfecto, and conquered the Tuolumne curse. It was his first perfect game in more than seven years. His previous 300s were rolled at Sonora Family Bowl in Jan. 2002 and May 2005.
Ralph Caspary, of Umchu Full House, had the high game before Isam’s 300, with a 276, and leaguemate Dave Rossi scored a 679 for the high series.
For the women, Caspary’s teammate Amanda Klaahsen came out of the smoky haze with both the high game and series of 191 and 550, respectively.
The winter leagues have started with Umchu Full House and Gamblers Getaway checking in at the scorers table first.
Other leagues began play between Sept. 3-9, and some leagues are still accepting bowlers.
For more information, contact Black Oak’s league coordinator Sandy Taylor at 928-9419.
Black Oak’s Senior No-Tap Tournament held last Friday resulted in Tom Newell scoring a 868, Bill Hall a 862 and Dave Hunter a 821.
For the women, Terry Hall rolled a 852, Barbara Shimonek a 823 and Joan McGinnes a 792.
